Ill start by saying that I absolutely hate going to the my Doctor. I hate the insurance companies, I hate the bills, I hate the waiting and on it goes. I was fighting a head cold for roughly a week and finally got sick of being sick. I arrived at the facility around 3:30pm. Completed a simple 1 page form and was told the wait would be 1.5 hours. I dont fault them for this. Doesnt everyone leave work a bit early on Friday to beat the rush to the clinic? Yes, we all do it. While waiting, the receptionist came out and offered bottled water and snacks to those of us waiting. I thought that was nice. My own Doctor would never do that. At least not without charging me for it... My name was called after roughly 20 minutes. Wasnt I told 1.5 hours? I was met by a fella that took my general readings and asked me questions. After he left, I did wait a bit longer for the Doctor to visit me. Maybe I waited another 30 minutes. The Doctor had great manners, took a look at my ears and throat and said my ear tubes were bright red and declared me to be the sickest person hes seen all day and wondered how I was fighting this. He prescribed some medicine and told me how to handle this sickness with a few OTC drugs. He e-prescribed the medicine to my pharmacist and I was told to wait in the reception. In a few minutes, I was given a print out of my visit with clearly written instructions to help me clear things up. I got my meds and was home in about 2 hours. Id say a visit with my normal Doctor usually takes 4 hours plus. The next day I was doing something and got a call from AFC asking me how I was doing, if I got my meds, and did I have any questions. That was nice. Again, my normal Dr. would never do this. Perhaps I need to find a new Dr., or perhaps I just need to keep doing what I did and visit AFC. I basically experienced a who new level of care with AFC. I have not received a bill yet. I am on an HSA plan so Im paying out of pocket anyway. I suspect the bill will be far less than my regular Dr.

It was like walking into a teenagers bedroom going in to this place for the first time with the television blaring so loudly, I couldnt hear myself think. Im sure this is comforting, and an acceptable distraction for a lot of people, but this made me want to either leave or bash the television to pieces. The staff at the front desk acted like they didnt want to be there, looked like theyd just come in from walking the streets hooking, and acted like I was messing up their television session by coming in with my health problem. The wait wasnt that long, but I could hear the doctor and his associates literally cackling outside the door about something. Good morale is one thing, but as loudly as these people were laughing, I wondered if theyd been drinking or smoking something. Finally the doctor comes in and punctuates the lack of professionalism by having the bedside manner of someone serving drinks at a dive bar. the doctor declares I have a "pressure ulcer" on my toe and proceeds to encourage his staff, one-by-one, to come into the examination room and gawk at it like I was some sort of a freak at a circus. They all said theyd never seen a "pressure ulcer" before. And they still havent. I got a second and third opinion, and the doctors I saw outside of Doctors Express agreed that it was not a pressure ulcer. Then the icing on the cake was the ditsy, gum-smacking receptionist took my address off of my license instead of asking me what my address was. Dr. Dive Bar came up behind her and made some comment about her doing something right and smiled at me as if I was supposed to find the whole thing funny and/or be good-natured about her incompetence. This place is an abomination to the medical field.

I had a mixed experience leaning towards negative. I made an appointment here as the specialist I have an appointment with could not see me before a unexpected work trip and they are close to my office. I had hoped to receive either a cortisone injection for Piriformis Syndrome hurting my sciatic nerve or a different diagnosis and treatment. The online appointment is a complete marketing scam just to get your email address. As I found out, all patients are taken in the order they arrive regardless of appointment. They should get rid of it as it will just make people mad when they find out! I was told that it would take about 30 minutes to see the doctor, after waiting for an hour and a half after my appointment time I finally saw the doc. Things were awful at first after a few tense minutes after I made clear repeatedly, I was not there for narcotics he started to warm a bit, and did a basic evaluation. He gave me a referral to a back doctor who could get me in soon and OKed me taking my migraine medicine for pain. No fault of his, upon calling they do not take my insurance. So the cost of my copay, I got to wait an hour and a half, I am still waiting for a specialist and got to be treated like a drug addict! I fully understand the opioid epidemic and would expect nothing more than caution from doctors. Instead of assuming everyone is a drug addict and treating them so poorly, why not treat people in pain with compassion, examine a patient and discuss non-narcotic treatments.

I made an appointment through their website because I was going during my 30 minute work lunch break and didnt want to have to wait as long as a "walk-in" would have to. I understand that things run late. However, I waited for over 2 hours before I saw a doctor. When two patients who arrived 45-60 minutes after I did were seen, I walked back up to the front desk. I waited a few minutes for her to finish her text, when she looked up and asked me how she could help - as if she hasnt seen me before and I havent been sitting in the waiting room patiently waiting for over 2 hours. I explained that I had been waiting 2 hours past my appointment time and she informed me that I was skipped over. I will now be making up 2 extra hours at work and am extremely upset about this. While the staff was friendly and apologized, I am still very upset about my over-all experience. I would not recommend this place to another person. My advice to AFC: either honor the online appointments or dont allow appointments to even be made. Even Longhorn Steakhouse handles their "walk-ins" vs. "call ahead" customers better than AFC did with their patients. I showed up on time for my appointment with a few minutes to spare. I should have been seen as close to my appointment time as possible, even if that means I go before a "walk-in" who arrived before I did and didnt take the time to schedule an appointment.

I am so glad I found this clinic! I live 3 hours away from the clinic, but it is worth the drive. I is so hard to also take time off from work to get to appt and this clinic is open until 8 everyday and open on SUNDAYS! That is amazing. That means I dont have to ask for a day of at work I can go on the weekends. The staff is so nice and helpful they answered all my questions completely. I did have one major issue though. They messed up on my labs and wanted me to come in to get them done again. The manager called me right away and let me know what had happened and was very apologetic. He called later on that same day to let me know they would find me a clinic here in my area to go get those labs redone and they would pay for it. So even though they messed up they were very concerned and resolved my problem right away. I recommend this place to everyone that has a hard time getting of work. The prices are not bad for being an urgent care center. I actually think I would have paid more in my area and would have to wait weeks for my results.. at this clinic they take every patient very serious and bond with you personally and care for you individually!! I appreciate everyone that took care of me in my visit and the manager that is so professional! Thank you!
