Not sure what the deal is concerning the Wellness Plan automatic payments....but they are having a lot of issues with running their business or either they do not know how to operate it. For some reason my automatic payments do not work and the owner had the audacity to blame me for why the transactions will not go through and claims its my responsibility. I have plenty of funds in my account with no issues, and I even contacted my local branch about any transactions that are blocked and the branch manager does not see any pending issues. Also I have heard of other friends and family members having the same issue concerning this, so this is not an isolated incident.I would like to let everyone know that if your experiencing this, its not your fault its their issue to resolve. While we are on the subject of disliking this place: I will discuss my cousins bad experience. Her cat had a swollen leg just before Thanksgiving and asked them to look at his leg and find out what the issue was. They recommended an x-ray and found no fractures or broken bones, but did not find out what was wrong and told her to come back another time since they were in a hurry to leave work that day. After the holiday she brought him back since his leg was getting worse, and they wanted to charge her again to be seen even though she already paid for it when they could not figure out the issue her cat was having from the x-ray in the first place. For her second attempt to have the vet look at the swollen leg they finally shaved it and there were teeth marks causing the infection....but I feel she doesnt need to be charged twice for the same issue. I wanted to provide awareness to those who are having the same experience and if you are new, hopefully this will help you know what to expect. And if you are from Coal Creek Vet, I hope you read this as for some advice.

Dr Hauser is the best vets I have ever known! My dogs have been treated by Dr. Hauser for 10 years, and I wouldnt take them anywhere else. These are the reasons why: 1. Great communication. 2. Outstanding ongoing care when there is a problem. 3. Ease of getting an appt. quickly when I need one. 4. Always returns phone calls promptly when I expect to get one. 5. Wonderful communication and even advocacy with other specialists, if there is one involved. 6. Excellent preventative and early diagnostic care. As I read some of the less positive comments here, I was stunned to see that most of them seemed to revolve around early diagnosis and prevention of disease, or the cost associated with treating it. I found myself wondering, "Do these people go to the dentist to get their teeth cleaned? Do these people get an annual physical with their physician? Do they argue with their physician when the doctor suggests testing for the detection of disease or lab work to find early indications of a problem?" Dogs and cats are living creatures. They have teeth, they get sick, they get disease. They feel pain. It is not so different. I would rather pay to have their teeth cleaned than watch them suffer with an absess or lose their teeth. Early detection of other problems is what gives us choices. When cancer or other disease progresses without detection, there may not be enough time left to have options about treatment. I, for one, want to be able to make good, informed decisions about my dogs care, and I cant do that without solid information. To Charlotte....BEWARE--You get what you pay for, and your dog gets what you pay for too! To Lizzy.....I guess reasonable and appropriate is in the eye of the beholder.

TOTAL RIPOFF..BEWARE! My dog had a tumor and they quoted me $1200-$1600 to remove it but dog must have teeth cleaned blah blah blah. That visit cost me $165.00. Took my dog to Broadview Animal Clinic and for less than the visit to Coal Creek they removed the tumor. NEVER GO TO COAL CREEK THEY SUCK!--The are the most expensive and inappropriate vet I have ever been to! At Broadview Animal Clinic, doctors and staff get the job done for a reasonable amount and dont try to sell you everything under the sun. Sure Coal Creek offers recommendations for your pet but try to sell you on better care than I can afford for my kids. Its a dog...not the queen of England, get a grip on reality folks. I cant imagine how many people didnt get the care for their pet because at first I thought ALL vets must be like this, they are not. What would have been nice is if they told me how much it would have cost to have the tumor removed...period. Several times I told them that was all I wanted to know. GO TO BROADVIEW, ITS REASONABLE AND A REAL HOSPITAL, GREAT FACILITY, NOT IN A STRIPMALL LIKE COAL CREEK.

**First of all, in response to the last reviewer, my reminder to review says, "Review us on Yelp or Google and receive a $25 account credit." It says nothing about it needing to be a "good" review. We bought our first cat in December and by January, she could hardly see out of one eye. I was mystified. We took her in to Coal Creek and the vet diagnosed the eye as a potential autoimmune response to stress. It looked like the cornea needed scraping, which would require a referral to an animal surgeon. This was so far beyond the scope of our budget and I felt so discouraged. So instead of the referral, Dr. Enos spent time combing over books and possible treatments. It took her nearly an hour to come up with an alternative--which only cost us $30. What!? Rather than a thousand or more? My cats eye was healed within a month and has been perfectly fine since then. The visit was reasonable, the follow up was included, and the staff are just amazing. I love Coal Creek and recommend them to everyone I know who needs a place to take their pets.

I was very satisfied with my experience at Coal Creek Veterinary Hospital. I moved here about 5 months ago and received a letter in the mail from Coal Creek offering a first free exam for new clients. I was excited to take my dog in and made an appointment. From the moment we walked in we were greeted in a very friendly manner. I loved the atmosphere instantly from the faux fireplace, and cute chalkboard with the pets names there for that particular day, to the coffee and beverages served. It made us feel at home. I met Dr. Walker and she immediately took to my dog Toby right away. The vet assistant was great, she did a really nice job with Toby as well. I could tell that they were genuinely interested and cared. It was a nice change from what I have seen from other vets I have been to in the past. I will definitely be recommending to friends and neighbours. I also like the paw plans that were offered. Overall, A wonderful experience!

I am so thankful for Coal Creek Vet Hospital. We had lived in this area for 3 weeks when our cat got bitten by something, likely a snake. We had not yet established care, but they took us in right away and treated her, and us, as though we had been with them forever. I felt very well cared for and fully trusted Dr. Walker and her team (Stephanie and Tery). Dr. Walker took time in between all of her other patients to make sure we understood what was going on and the implications of all the decisions we had to make. I never once felt as though they were pushing us to spend more than we we comfortable with. In fact, Dr. Walker was very up front with what all costs were and the bill was even less than expected. I LOVED my experience with Coal Creek Vet Hospital. I will be back, hopefully next time when my animals are healthy!
