Writing bad reviews is a negative waste of time HOWEVER if you are struggling with moderate to severe acne then do not go here. Everyone in the office was nice enough and I appreciate that the doctor had enough intergrity to only charge me for the actual time she spent with me (less than 15 minutes over two appointments) instead of the full hour booked for each appointment, as at the time I was uninsured. The antibiotics she determined I needed after one look at my complexion worked very well until they didnt and my acne came back worse than ever. Not her fault that I am genetically prone to acne but there is absolutely nothing quality about the care I received here. Go to Natural Acne Clinic in Wheatridge. Join the program and get real help that will last you long term.

I would never recommend this dermatologist. I have sensitive skin and told the doctor that. Then with out examining my skin at all, the doctor suggested I purchase an eye cream they sell at the front desk. I used it twice and ended up with a horrible allergic reaction. I tried returning the product and they would not take it back even though they recommended and sold it to me. I have spent a lot of money at this office, and now I will never go back. They were great while I was spending hundreds of dollars with them, but as soon as I had an issue they become horrible to deal with. Theyve lost a loyal customer and a lot of money because they were incredibly difficult and wouldnt take back an eye cream.

I had a good first experience with Lower Highlands Dermatology a few months ago. However, the situation that has unfolded within the last week would lead me to discourage anyone from visiting this clinic. I received a notice of debt collection for a $17.30 bill that had been paid in full a month ago. It took one full day of frustrated phone calls and emails and ultimately, a proof-of-withdrawal statement from a bank representative for their office to finally locate verification of a month-old payment. Reputable businesses do not take debt collection threats lightly. I was extremely unimpressed with the management of this clinic and the complete lack of professionalism I encountered in this matter.

Dont do it! I went into the office for my final treatment on a pre paid package of services. I was left sitting in the waiting area 40 minutes past my scheduled time. When I went up to inquire I was told how the prior person had left who provides my services, how they could not help me, offered no compensation, no apologies, and instead explained how this was a hardship on them. They do not document anything in detail and I was not offered anything for them not being able to fulfill my final treatment in the pre paid package. NEVER PRE PAY them for anything and expect the lowest level of customer service I have ever witnessed. UNPROFESSIONAL IS AN UNDERSTATMENT!!!

Horrible front desk staff, very rude! The location is not convenient to begin with not to mention when there is contraction and road closing all around! Didnt get a 24 hour reminder, and after the rude call to schedule the appointment, I had an even ruder phone call when I was lost and called for help. Basically stating sorry, your fault and if you want to reschedule you can...how about NO! I should have known by the poor ratings that this experience wasnt going to go well. BTW, you cant work a person in, the doctor leaves at noon, and is 100% on time? Sounds like other patients have done what I wil do, find another office, poor customer service = low demand!

So completely mind-blown of the call I just made to this office to reschedule an appointment from when I was sick just a week ago. I woke up with a fever and was told not to come in but to reschedule. When I just called to reschedule my appointment, an individual on the phone told me I owed $50 for no-show? Shocked, I asked politely why? She put me on a 5 minute hold and then referred to appointments in 2012 (4 years ago) that I had to also reschedule on. Point is-- dont book this office if you have life priorities you have to attend to (Like work!). This office was anything but helpful.

Veronica at the front desk was by far the most rude person I have dealt with so far in Colorado. She refused to give me a copy of my receipt (not sure why) and when I asked for someone else, she said she was the only person in the office so I would need to leave a voicemail. I know this is not true. The doctor was great at my appointment, but I will not go back to this facility because of Veronica.

Ive seen Cathy Carretero for several years and have always had a pleasant experience. Both my mother and my closest friend now see Dr. Carretero for skin cancer screenings and Botox - both are very happy with her services and are now recommending their friends. I would (and do) recommend Dr. Carretero to anyone looking for a great dermatologist!

Dr. Carretero has provided excellent care over the 12 years that Ive been a patient. Front-office staff is top notch as well. I never have to wait more than a few minutes for an appointment. This location is NOT convenient, but its a very nice office with a great "penthouse" view--definitely worth the 30 minute drive!

Absolutely wonderful! Super convienent location and free easy parking, great personable office staff and amazing doctor! Great for mild to severe acne, scars, and more! Also offers facials, latisse (eyelash extension), and wrinkle removal/care! Will never go anywhere else.

I had melanoma while pregnant and Dr Carretero and staff were extremely supportive and still ask about my daughter 3 years later. I have high expectations of healthcare providers and she and the office have never disappointed. And Ive been there a lot if you can imagine.

I was curious about laser hair removal and went for a consult. She charged me $100 to tell me I wouldnt be a good candidate because my hair is too light. We spoke for less than 10 minutes. Not to mention, her manner was short and uninviting. Such a disappointment!!!

I like Dr. Carretero. The front desk staff, however, is the unfriendliest, most rude and most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced. Sorry to say that - but unfortunately it is very consistent and does not seem to ever get better.

I had a good experience. everyone was nice enough to me, turns out I needed to go to a different type of doctor and they refunded my co-pay. If i were better looking or wanted to get better looking I would certainly give them a shot.

The worse, not so friendly staff especially the nurse. Was not able to go in with the patient, now what the heck is up with that ! I do not recommend this clinic , my worse experience ever in regards to dermatology clinics.
