After going to Dr. Cooper for five years, I will be searching for another physician. I was hesitant to write this but feel I would appreciate this feedback as a patient looking for a family doctor. Dr. Cooper is a very nice man (as is his receptionist Jackie). His skills as a physician, however, are questionable in my opinion. I did not notice this for the first few years when all I needed was a physical. When seeing him this past year for a concern, however, he seemed unknowledgeable. He even searched my symptoms online (similar to my own googling). So he ordered bloodwork. When I saw that the results online had noted several abnormalities, I called because he hadn’t called me back. I wasn’t allowed to speak with him and his assistant (Julie) was very dismissive. I requested that she ask him about it. When she did, he said to retest again in a month. However, they never submitted the order so I had to call back. I feel Dr. Cooper doesn’t take even the smallest measures to care for his patients. I’ve had to proactively reach out to him time and again. As I get older, I don’t feel he will be able to adequately address possible health issues/concerns and wonder if he will even care. Also, a few years ago, it took 45 minutes from my appointment time for him to see me. He apologized saying his patients had backed up. At my previous visit, it took 30 minutes. So the next year, I scheduled myself as his first patient of the day to avoid the long wait. I arrived before 9am (my appt time) and he didn’t see me until 9:40am. I was the ONLY patient in the office (since I was the first appt of the day) and I could hear him chatting with the nurse while I was in the waiting room. I arrive early to make my appointment as I respect his time yet feel he doesn’t respect his patients’ time and is fine making them wait. As a mother of three young kids, my time is pretty valuable. Again, I am writing this from my personal experience and hope it helps others in their decision to find a competent physician.

Excellent family practice physician. Im a dentist and pretty discriminating in my choice of health care practitioners. Dr. Cooper is extremely knowledgeable, spot on diagnosis, and the office is small, friendly, and caring. Five stars.

Ive been going to Dr. Cooper since 2009. I have always been happy with the availability of appointments, wait times while in the office, location, friendliness of the staff, and results of the visits. I highly recommend it.
