First, let me say that I have been a customer of Abbas for at least 15 years. I really liked the doctor I used to see (Dr. Pierre) and the staff was also very friendly and helpful. When this location moved from their store at the Southern Cross Shopping Center to Lake Plaza, they changed. Dr. Pierre no longer practices at this location and the staff was totally different. Seems like every time I go in the staff is totally different, which I suppose is to be expected. Dr. Kim is a great eye doctor; very thorough and very good at what he does. I have no issues with him. My problem is with the customer service staff; the people who greet you, help you check out, answer the phones, etc. Every time I call to make an appointment they cant find my file. Every time I go in for said appointment, they try to make me fill out all of the new client paperwork because they cant find my file. It has been like this ever since they moved to this location. Theyre not always the most friendly people. We all have bad days and I get that. It just seems like every time I call or go in the people sitting behind the reception desk are always having a bad day. Working with the public is not easy and I know that from personal experience. You cant let it affect how you treat people though. I called today to schedule an appointment for an eye exam. The appointment was scheduled and then I asked if it would be possible to come in an pick up or purchase a trial contact to get me through until my exam because the one Im wearing is old. My last exam was 7/2013 (Rx expired 7/2014). I was told because my contract Rx was expired they could not give me a trial contact until I was given a new Rx. I asked, even though Ive made an appointment? Again I was told no. So I asked what happens if I lose my contact or it tears between now and my scheduled appointment? I dont have glasses, I only wear 1 contact. Basically, Im screwed. I went through the exact same thing with them last year. Yes, it is my own fault that my contact prescription expired in July and it is now October and Im just now finally getting around to getting my exam and a new prescription. I understand they have their policies and procedures in place for a reason but I find it ridiculous that exceptions cant be made on a case by case basis. And this is why I will no longer be going to Abba and will take my business elsewhere. If youre looking for a great eye doctor and a store with a great selection of frames, etc. and dont really care about what Ive mentioned above, Abba is your place and for that Id give them 4 stars. But, if a good eye doctor, great selection of frames and great customer service is important to you, go somewhere else.

I absolutely love ABBA eye care and each of the three major experiences I have had with them. After reading a few of these other reviews, I can only imagine that the negative reviews were extremely exaggerated or outright false, or at the very worst a one in a million fluke. It it perhaps possibly true that you pay a few more dollars at ABBA (and even then I am not certain of it), but the experience that ABBA offers is high-value. I wasnt totally sure what I wanted in terms of contacts or a third pair of glasses, and after I decided, Cyle helped walk me through all of my potential options and combinations. He was very well-educated concerning the products and clearly knew his work very well. Speaking of Cyle, while I like each of the opticians that I have dealt with at ABBA, Cyle Clark may very well be my favorite customer service consultant that I have ever worked with in any field anywhere, so I highly recommend him individually as well. In the end, I couldnt be more happy with my glasses now, and I rest easy with the lens warranty that came with the anti-scratch/anti-glare coating I had put on the glasses. Dr. Kim, despite being the typically busy doctor, is fantastic as far as optometrists go. He has a very good "bedside manner," if you will. He is very friendly and makes you aware that you are individually cared for. If there was a way to give 6 stars, I would. I honestly cant really imagine why anyone would go anywhere else.

Worst experience I have had so far. I have been diagnosed with a rare eye disease by both Dr. Wright from the Wright Eye Center and Dr. Forstat with Corneal consultants of Colorado. I called Abba Eye care to see if they had a specialist for my particular disease and was lied to in order to be tricked into an appointment with them. Their incompetent doctor (who is not a specialist at all as it turns out) decided he knew better then both specialists I had already seen and that I did not have this eye disease and had me fit for regular contacts which will not bill through my insurance and never worked. After more then 5 calls to their off the store manager informed the doctor now suggests I see a corneal specialist (which I have already done twice and will be doing again on the 30th of this month) BASICALLY admitting he knew nothing about what was going on with my eyes and STILL decided to fit me with contacts that would never work. They have now sent me a bill threatening legal action if I do not pay. I will not pay this bill and am ready to go to court with the medical diagnosis of two doctors who actually specialize in my disease. In the mean time my sight has declined and I dont even have the pleasure of seeing my 3 year olds face clearly. Horrible experience, horrible management and horrible care mixed with a lack of basic human decency. I strongly caution anyone who needs anything more then a basic eye exam to go elsewhere.

Will never go to another Abba again! I have had glasses for 8 years now. Unfortunately I had to change Doctors because my insurance at work changed. I figured I would try this Abba because it was so close to work. That was a bad decision! After 2.5 hours including a car lot sales experience with trying to be sold probably 10 extras I didnt need I finally walked out of there feeling robbed at $580.00 for ONE pair of glasses! To make matters worse the sales agent that helped me pick out glasses called me an hour later and said she did her math wrong so it was going to cost me $100 more! After spending a week arguing I eventually didnt have to pay the extra $100 but has multiple downgrades to my lenses. Then about 3 months later the anti reflective coating started to bubble and I had to go back in to show them so they believed me I guess and then in 2 more times for glasses drop off and pick up! I will never go back. This year I went back to Eagle eyes, the original Dr. I used to go to because the North location takes my insurance and they are AMAZING! even though I had to drive all the way up north it was still worth saving $400 on a pair of designer frames with all of the lens upgrades I needed and I made it back to work faster than when I sent to Abba including the 20 min drive both ways.
