Went in there to attempt to use our insurance benefits, before we used Walmart Optical Center. We already had our prescriptions and after it taking awhile to get our information in, we were told that we had to pay $60 each for lenses/copay and then the cost of frames, which we would have some of it paid for though insurance but almost all frames were $200++ and very small selection. My daughter, who wears contacts, had already chosen what she wanted when we got our prescriptions. They told her they dont carry the brand, actually told us the brand in particular was no longer being made and we had to go with their brand, which we would have had to spend a lot more for them. In all, for 4 of us, we would have spent more then $500 out of pocket after insurance took care of their part. We walked out without purchasing and went back to Walmart Optical, our insurance doesnt cover as much but its better out of pocket expense. Better selection and prices. Plus we got the contacts my daughter wanted and paid less then $90 for a years supply. We mentioned to them about what the Vision Care Specialist lady tried telling us how my daughters contacts were not being carried anymore and they said they straight up lied to us because they ones they tried to get us to purchase were a more expensive brand. To say the least we will never be returning.

As a 60 year old business owner and former executive, I expect a far more professional experience than I had at the Lakewood office under Dr. Warta. The communications via phone calls and/or emails was greatly lagging (weeks went by, I have the email paper trail) leading me to have to chase this organization(or lack thereof) for information. When originally fitted for my lens I was told by Dr Warta my 2nd specialty lens in the first year would be around $100, then when I called to order the next time (within the 1st year) was told it would be around $200, then when I asked what does "around $200" mean, when they finally got back to me, I was told it would be $280. That sounds more like "around $300" to me". I asked the office staff person to have the Dr call me back. In the meantime, since I didnt hear from them, I went to another eye dr and ordered the lens. Over a week later I get a call back from Dr. Warta telling me that he had to move me into the next level lens, hence the reason the price was higher. REALLY? Sure operates like a nice bait and switch scheme to me since that is the first time I EVER heard that? Do yourself a favor, find a group that is more professional than this group of amateurs.

Want to be misinformed and ripped off? Go here!!! Love the Optometrists and Opticians. Have nothing against the assistants either, but all the rest of the office staff are idiots. They calculated the final costs of my contacts after rebates wrong. Had I known this I would not have bought contacts. Additionally, they could not figure out what my eye insurance covered and did not. Furthermore, after my contact lens exam, I noticed I was not charged for it and mentioned it 3 times before leaving and I was assured each time my receipt was right, but when I asked for an additional receipt later for my rebate, I had been charged for it and my account was in the rears. Your mistake. Suck it up. I tried to do my due diligence and was ignored. Why do I have to pay for the mistake? After spending 2+ days on the phone with going back and fourth, no resolution; no restitution; just time wasted. After 16 years I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Came here 3 times. Less than positive experiences. 15+ year contact wearer, glasses for my entire life. The first time I came here, I was unfortunate to be the last appointment of the day, and they rushed me through as quick as they could -- I got my prescription, but overall a negative experience. I got the feeling that their primary concern is not care, but profit. The second time I waited for 45 minutes before I was seen, and had a different doctor, who simply did not listen to my needs or wants, as if my experiences with my own eyes and contacts over the last 15 years didnt matter. I ended up getting talked into contact lenses that were quite uncomfortable and were breaking after days (when they were supposed to last a month each) -- went through what should have been 2 years worth of contacts in 10 months, a problem with which the office was wholly unaccommodating. I have found another eye doctor that is much better.

We went to these guys with high expectations. We did have a good exam and we did not have to wait long to get in. After the exam that is went it started going bad. Their billing department could not get the code right so that our insurance would pay for the overpriced exam. We talked to them directly on the phone more then 7 times trying to fix the problems. So finally after they were getting ready to send it to collections we went in and paied it and then sent the bill to our insurance and we finally got our money. What a run around!! Then after all of that I went to order contacts online and they said to the company that I could not order a years supply because my perscription would be expired before the year was up! So crazy!! So if you want to go to someone who will charge alot for an exam and then control where you get your contacts and how much you buy go to them...if not Go To Someone Else!!!!

Bought a pair of $340 frames. Noticed that lens rim was slightly crooked and returned them to see if they could be corrected. The optician took them in the back to work on them and returned saying that he couldnt fix the issue but would order me a replacement pair. I noticed that he had scratched the matte black screw head and backside of the frame with a screwdriver when he was working on them. When the new pair arrived, I brought in my old pair and pointed out the scratch to the person I left them with and asked them to be careful installing the lenses on the new pair. When I went to pick up the new pair, same thing - tool marks on my brand new glasses. If you go to better outfits they use non-marring screwdrivers to prevent this. The people were friendly, but at the end of the day I have a brand new pair of expensive glasses with some annoying scratches near the lens screws.

On December 14th, I selected a pair of frames from VCS and ask if I could sleep on whether spending another $112 for transition lenses would be something I wanted to do. I returned after the weekend and told them I decided against them, was there anything else they needed from me. "No" was their answer and it would take 6-8 weeks for delivery since I had a VA voucher. Coming up on the 6 week date I called and asked for an update. They then proceeded to tell me that I had to come back in because, "I needed to give them some measurement." that they should have taken when I was there the previous visit, as if it was my fault they did not get that measurement. Irresponsible, unprofessional and incompetent is how I describe this business. If you are a veteran or not, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
