Okay, so just for some backstory. I went this doctor back in 2014 after getting new insurance and for the first time being outside of Kaiser. Tricky having to find my own doctor let alone understanding crucial information to what might have prevented this all from happening but here we go. I had been perivously diagnosed with an illness to where I need to take pills continuously to be able to stabilize certain hormones in my body that control mood, metabolism, hair growth and Im sure a lot more stuff that plays into to who I am. Understanding that I needed to go to the doctor to be able to have my blood taken and make sure my levels were good with the pills I was taking I found a new doctor as soon as I was taken off of Kaiser insurance. My mom had suggested this doctor since theyre open on Saturdays which would have worked with my work schedule. Getting into the doctor definitely took more than an hour after my scheduled appointment time. Im thinking maybe its normal for these kind of doctors? They had sent my blood test to an out-of-network Testing Lab that charged me almost $300. At this time the doctor had filled my prescription to what I had previously been prescribed with Kaiser, without knowing what the blood test results were yet. So I get this bill in the mail from this third-party Testing Lab expecting money out of me for something I didnt know I was supposed to be paying for. It left such a sour taste in my mouth I did not go see the doctor for three years. Still getting refills though keep that in mind. Now come to present day I had ordered a refill on my prescription which is been the same prescription since I seen him at back in 2014 but it was declined by the doctor for some reason. The pharmacy not knowing why was declined had advised me to call my doctor which I did the next day when the doctor was supposed to be open. The doctor and unfortunately with all of his office members were in a team meeting for the whole day. The only reason I knew this was because I chose to speak with the after-hours operator who informed me that she would leave a message with the doctor and they would call me back. At this point I was ready to try anything so I call my insurance assistance through my workplace they are helpful in assisting me with finding another doctor for Primary Care and they also informed me that any lab work done should be sent to a specific lab tester if they send it out of network it will cost a lot of money but with the specific lab tester it would be covered by my deductible! What?! You mean I paid that for no reason? Imagine that!! I wonder who would have known that when I actually got my blood tested? Maybe my doctor?! Anyways I never received a call back from the doctor which then on Saturday, my day off, I decide to call them. With no answer after getting ready and leaving my house driving down to the doctors office being on hold for 40 minutes I am seeing that the doctor is closed! There is no out of office messaging and they are allowing their customers to wait for them on hold all day?! Not cool. Today was the day I finally got to speak with somebody. At first I explain the situation I was told they would not have an appointment until mid-week next week meaning I would have to go two and a half weeks without any pills. At this point a little bit fed up. I let them know my frustration and I requested a sooner date given the circumstances. At that point they proceeded to hang up on me! I called back...because I need pills...not because I care to talk to anyone at this point and get someone else that heard the whole thing and has no apathy for the issue. I dont know if its coming from Kaiser and getting treated with the best customer service from them or if this is just a bad apple out of the doctors out there and I just need to find a better one but it was the worst experience Ive ever had in any industry out there I hope to anybody going to this place you never have to deal with that.

Ive been to this office countless times since I was younger and it was always...so-so. The wait takes forever, they usher people in and out like cattle, but the doctors have always been nice (when they get to you). The past year has been the WORST experience of my entire life, however. I was seen in February for a regular visit, four months after that I received a notice I was in collections for $61. I had never received a phone call, a card, an email or a letter/bill from the company (local or out of state) at all. I was baffled, but paid it right away knowing its not that big of a statement. Today, TEN months after that visit I get another notice that Im in collections for $99. Again, I have NEVER received a statement, phone call, letter, card, carrier pigeon! This office not only acts like they dont care about you (Ive heard the receptionists talk very rude and unprofessional on the phone to patients and other offices alike), but they clearly DONT care about you. They dont care what you need, about your time or anything...and they dont even make the courteous and professional effort to contact you in regards to bills, medical issues, follow-ups etc. Oh but wait...I can get a letter in the mail from them telling me I cannot go there with my insurance company because they are dropping carriers left and right, but I cannot get a statement telling me I have a bill that needs to be paid before they shoot me off to collections? I will never set foot in these offices again, good doctors or not, and I hope no one will. This isnt the first problem Ive had them with, but I certainly wont put myself in the position to have it happen again.

Dr. Colander is Board certified (very important when choosing a family practitioner) & was recommended by a health care professional pal a few yrs ago. Hubby & I were very displeased with our prior internist. We are EXTREMELY happy with Dr. C - weve certainly found our family practice for life! He & his staff are ultra responsive - SAME DAY answers. LOVE their patient portal - provides convenience and rapid communication with the Dr./staff, access to tests, records. Thats extraordinary in the present health care environment. You are not just a number on a conveyor belt - youre like family. Bonnie @front desk welcomes you like family & the experience is lovely from your very 1st visit. AWESOME!

My husband and I been coming to this doctors office for over seven years. Edgar and I are pleased with the service that we get from this office overall. One thing I can truly say is that Dr. Matthew Lewis is my primary care physician but my husbands doctor Dr. Scott takes his time to see me anytime I schedule a appointment at the Fraser clinic. I am too chicken to go out to of my way to visit Dr. Matthew when he not present at the Fraser clinic. I want to say thank you guys so much much for keeping our health in your hands. THANK YOU GUYS FOR EVERYTHING NO ONE NOT PERFECT BUT YOU GUYS COME SO CLOSE TO PERFECT WE WILL KEEP YOU GUYS!!!!
