I have been taking my son here since he was born 6 months ago. I have always had a fairly positive experience up until today. I had an appointment scheduled for his 6 month wellness visit, but it wasnt until 2 weeks after he turned 6 months. Since he was born he has had blocked tear ducts that have progressively gotten worse to the point that his eyes are almost sealed shut when he wakes up in the morning. I have brought him in before to have his eyes checked, and Ive always asked about it at every wellness visit, but each practitioner has always said he is fine. It has been starting to concern me so I wanted to try to move up his appointment so that his eyes could be looked at and I wouldnt have to make an additional appointment. I was also concerned that I may not be able to take off the day of his original appointment because Im getting ready to start a new job. I called to try to reschedule and the receptionist wasnt very friendly, but was able to reschedule me for one week earlier with one of the physician assistants. Later, I realized I had several things I wanted to discuss and that I should have kept my original appointment because I would prefer to see a doctor. I realize the physicians assistants are just as capable of examining my son, but I wanted a doctors opinion on starting solids and some other questions I had. I called back again to check if I could possibly get in with one of the doctors and the receptionist, Bonnie, was very rude. She went on and on about how the wellness visits book up far in advance and if I wanted to see a doctor I should have kept my original appointment. She went so far as to lecture me saying that in the future if I prefer a doctor then I should not schedule an appointment with a physicians assistant. I had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from saying something to her because that would have only resulted in an argument and wasnt worth my time. Her tone was completely uncalled for and very off-putting. I should not have to explain myself if I want to attempt to reschedule an appointment. If there were no appointments available I would have been fine keeping the appointment with the physicians assistant. Ultimately, I was able to reschedule for one day earlier to see one of the doctors, but it wasnt worth the long lecture. At this point I am considering switching practices because I do not like to feel harassed if something comes up and I need to reschedule. Overall I give the practice 3 stars because the doctors and physicians assistants that I have met with have all been good, but I have always felt very rushed. The practice as a whole does not seem very personable. I am impressed that I can always get my son in for a same day appointment if he is ill, but the front staff plays a vital role in presenting a good image, and behavior like I experienced today can easily drive business away.

We were recommended this office while I was pregnant by my OBGYN who sees the doctors here for her own children. I figured if it was good enough for my doctor, it would be good enough for us. We see Dr. Stanga primarily, but have seen several other doctors and PAs here as well as the lactation consultant. I have been very happy with the service every time Ive used them. Dr. Stanga came to the hospital when our son was born two times during our stay. He was the first one to diagnose our sons heart murmur and get us set up with cardiology care for it. Weve had our regular follow up visits, plus weve had to schedule same day visits a couple of times. The front desk staff is always very accommodating and work with our schedules to make sure were seen at times that work for us (which is hard with both his dad and I working full time). There is an acute and a well side in the offices and the waiting room, which gives me peace of mind on germ exposure when were just there for a checkup. Were always taken back within five minutes of arriving, and are seen by a doctor very shortly after the normal weight checks, etc. They also let me use the room for as long as I need to afterwards to nurse (they even offer a Boppy pillow for me to use!). Dr. Stanga and the other doctors Ive seen take their time explaining everything and offering advice, and answer all of my questions thoroughly. This office is a little out of the way for us, but it is well worth the drive, and Im sure we will continue to use them for a long time.

If ZERO stars were available Id choose that! Please DO NOT go to Parker Pediatrics. Ive spoken with Bonnie in reception, Karen and Donna in billing who were most unhelpful, unsympathetic and just the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I have very good insurance. I needed to make physical appointments which my insurance would fully cover, for my 3 boys but Parker Pediatrics informed me that my account has been "de-activated" and they sent it to collections! Until my outstanding fee (with Joceyln Petrella, Ph.D, whom is not part of the insurance coverage under the umbrella of Parker Pediatrics so her fees caused this mess) which I thought would be covered by my Employee Benefits provider but Parker Pediatrics would not deal with any outside service other than my main insurance and subsequently billed me an outrageous amount which Ive been paying off regularly. When trying to explain this to them, it seems like these women take joy in giving a customer negative information. They dont want to discuss anything, nor do they have any sympathy in their tones. They were glib and sanctimonious and when I asked for my sons records, Donna sounded so bright and cheerful that I would be leaving their practice. I hope many more people come to realize that the office staff pretty much sucks. I will find a better pediatrician. I will never recommend Parker Pediatrics to anyone. Good riddance.

the doctors of the facility are great dont get me wrong there. The issue comes from the customer service side. I have a new born son with cleft lip and pallet just today we had an appointment set up for his 4 month, unfortunately we have surgery scheduled for next week. We called ahead of time to let the office know we will not be doing the 4 month vaccinations because of the simple fact that he is going in for a serious surgery soon. We were told by his doctor and nursing staff from childrens hospital to do exactly this. Wendy was more then happy to tell the doctors of our situation. So thank you for that. Shortly after this we reaseaved a phone call from their "main office" stating that because we have refused to get him vaccinated that we will be reported to child protection services. I find the lack of communication within the front desk and management areas to be very repulsive and the constant guilt trip the people who call you dish out. There is much more then just this situation but I feel we will not be back at this establishment. Im sorry to say. The doctors are great and respectful but you have to get past their aggressive and bipolar front desk first.
