We have just started going to Meridian Animal Hospital for a few months now, and Ive been impressed every time with every situation on how the vet, Dr. Carbon, has handled the visits. She is always willing to answer all of my questions, and hear my concerns, and always seems to know way more than other vets Id taken my dogs to for the same reason. We finally received a real diagnosis (color mutation alopecia) for the reason my dogs fur was falling out, after 4 vets and 7 years of being told they just didnt know. We also were able to get our recently adopted foster dog diagnosed with tapeworm, after taking her to another vet, after I actually brought in a tapeworm to the last one and they ignored me. Thank goodness Dr. Carbon listened and treated her after I brought in an actual tapeworm to her after to continuing to see them on her, she was able to tell me, yes, that was indeed what I thought it was. She also treated the same dog for a suture reaction at her spay site, after MONTHS and about $600+ spent on laser therapy at 2 other vets, and 3 rounds of the same antibiotics, which Dr. Carbon told me was not good because just like people, dogs can develop a resistance to it, and Dr. Carbon went ahead and finally pulled the old metal suture pieces out (spay was 6 months old and should have healed by then and was opening up with puss and blood.) Now my dog is happy, and healthy. I wish wed started taking them here right off. We would have saved so much money and aggravation. Not only is she smarter than the other vets weve seen, she takes her time and visits are never rushed. The front staff also told me that since my dog was so nervous being in public, I could bring her down anytime to get her used to people, that theyd be happy to have her come in to help me/my dog out. They are just really awesome there, I plan on going there with the rest of my dogs as well.

We found Meridian as we were looking for a vet closers to home and one that would be more equipped to sweetly handle our aging babies. I was nervous for several reasons. 1 vets in my history of experience owning over 28 dogs in my life time can be judgemental and mean because of what I see as unrealistic expectations. 2 my sweet girl is 11 and the last thing I want is to face bad news when I go to the vet, it hurts too much. We took my girl in for the first time due to hip/leg issues and met with Dr. Morris. My heart swelled with his compassion and patience. He was positive, kind, and very uplifting. He was gentle with our girl and spent an hour with us (as a walk in). We talked to him about our other dogs dental issues and I confessed my fear of being chastised as a bad owner because he has bad teeth (not due to lack of care, due to him just producing more plaque than we can treat) he said it was common and to bring the big guy in to see what we can do. No judgement. He even spoke like a REAL pet owner not like a vet with extreme expectations of how your pet should be better cared for than your children. Our 2nd visit is this Saturday and I am looking forward to building this relationship with Meridian. I didnt love the 66 dollar exam fee but once I saw the care and attention to detail I realized it wasnt enough for what they do.

I decided to give Meridian another chance when I found a growth inside my dogs mouth. I called Meridian and they said I did not need to bring her in! I promptly took our dog to the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines and they diagnosed it as a tumor! Luckily we found out after a biopsy that it is benign, but will still need surgery to remove it. How could a vet that claims to care about your pets say there is no reason to bring in your pet in if it has a tumor in its mouth!? I believe the Vets are very knowledgeable and professional, but I cannot say the same for their billing practices. They charge a $66 fee every time you take your puppy in for their shots, on top of the cost of the shots. All they do is check their heart beat, temperature, and look at them. You cannot seriously tell me those 3 minutes are worth $66. I will be taking our golden retrievers somewhere else from now on. I tried getting heartworm prevention through a major online retailer, and the Vet denied the request! When I asked the Vet why, she couldnt give me a straight answer. The truth is they want me to buy it from them with their inflated prices! I called back and spoke with someone else and they said no problem I will get that emailed over as soon as the doctor approves it...which they did.

We have been taking our dogs here since Meridian opened its doors. We have always received excellent, compassionate care - from the front desk to the techs to the vets. Dr. Morris has spent a gracious amount of time with us on a few different occasions - one being when we had to make a difficult decision to put our beloved Labrador down. He talked to us for a long time, let us discuss it in private for a lengthy amount of time, and let the decision be 100% ours, never making us feel rushed. Meridian has also accommodated us when weve had minor emergencies, always taking us in on short notice - once when our dog had an allergic reaction to a bee sting - and as recent as today when our two dogs got into a tussle over a dog bone and we needed immediate attention for our little terrier. They even took my husband back and helped him clean out his own bite wounds. Experienced vets and staff with a small town feel. Doesnt get better than that!

We love the clinic and staff. They are caring, kind and always helpful. Our kitty, Princess Peach, went through a very bad sickness that eventually lead to kidney failure and our decision to put her to sleep. Dr. Carbon helped us through those months with patience, cheaper alternatives, and ideas for us to help her without causing too much trauma or stress, since we were in the final stages of our wedding planning at the time. And, once we did have to make that hard decision, she let us stay as long as we needed to as Peach passed away. We didnt feel rushed, and they didnt expect to deal with billing right away as we were in mourning. We were able to do that when we picked up her ashes. We now take our big boy cat, Axl, to see Dr. Carbon. We would not trust anyone else with our furry family. Everyone at Meridian is awesome, and we have had nothing but good experiences with them, even when it was hard on us personally.

I am a first time pet owner and wasnt sure what to expect when I adopted my 2y/o? dog Max. The clinical provided a complimentary check up if I brought him in within 2 weeks from adoption which was great. When I brought him in everyone was super friendly and very understanding of my high energy dog since he wasnt trained well. Dr. Morris spent more than 45 minutes checking Max out, discussing his care with me, and answering my questions. Two weeks later we came back for a flu vaccine booster and I was nervous because I didnt want Max to be scared of shots or going to the vet. When I couldnt hold him still enough, the tech brought the clinic manager in and she distracted him with love and treats. He never felt the needle and she stayed to talk to me about Max and answered all of my questions. I would recommend this office to everyone.
