After lees than stellar service from our former vet, we had been researching the area for one that we, and our animals would feel comfortable around (and you Can tell if the pets like/dislike a doctor!) After good reports from a few trusted friends, we were fortunate to make an appointment, and first met the staff - and Dr. Becky Murray. A Tremendous experience. Our animals dont have to be dragged through the doorway, and the care, knowledge and tenderness shown the dogs was great to see and experience. In addition, where some other animal MDs seem to want to perform every test, sell every medicine and procedure, whether needed or not, the folks @ Madison Veterinary are driven by what the animal truly needs, not be what they think they can drain out of your wallet. (Yes, were speaking from bad experience . . .nuf said) From the people answering the phone, the support staff and the doctors themselves, it would be hard to find a better, more qualified group of professionals to care for your animals. No, we have no other connection to the group - were just that happy with the services our pets have received. You will be impressed, too.

Dr Oullette and the Madison Vet Hospital are amoung the best in the state. Weve taken our dogs and cats there over the years. One time we tried to go to a different vet (over in Clinton) and that vet wanted to euthanize my cat. We took him back to the madison vet hospital and our cat lived another 10 years! They may not always be the best over the phone but they are the best in domestic animal care on the new haven shoreline.

I switched to Dr. Ouellette after my cat was misdiagnosed by a vet in Old Saybrook. Although the cats illness was beyond help, Dr. Ouellette tried his hardest to help us out. He was there in our time of sadness, as were all the members of his staff. Sometimes it ishard to get an appointment, but other than that, the care they show all animals is beyond compare!

It may be hard as a new customer to find an appointment here but they treat their regulars like gold - always there for you in an emergency. If you live nearby, make this your one and only vet and you will have no regrets

Snotty help on the phone that suggested we go elsewhere for their convenience. I dont know about the vets, but if the "help" is any indication, Ill pass and go elsewhere happily.
