Banfield is one of the worst animal hospitals i have ever dealt with. I understand things dont always go right and stuff happens, but the true test is how things are handled when a customer is not happy. I brought my german shephard in because he appeared to have a UTI . It was a Sunday and we had few choices about where to bring him. With in 10 minutes the doctor came up with $1300.00 worth of tests he said were needed to diagnose him properly. We didnt expect to spend that much so we asked if there was something we could pass on. The doctor sent in his "Office Manager" to discuss the billing. Part of the expense was due to the fact that the doctor couldnt even take my dogs temp because he is afraid of big dogs. My dog is very well trained is not aggressive to anyone or anything. In the process of trying to get info about my dogs diagnosis we realized they were trying to hide something. they wouldnt give me or my new vet the results from the urine test because he never did the urinalisys. I got one rude call from the main vet and after 9 different calls no one ever asked how my dog was doing. We called corp offices only to find out they cant help because this doctor owns the business. We found a new vet that can do tests without putting my dog under, and they give me tips on how to save money(collecting urine samples ect..) My new vet follows up and at least pretends to care about my dog. I highly recommend Highway Animal Hospital in Fairfield. Its a place to take your dog if you are looking for proper care at the right price. I wouldnt bring i sick rat to these theives at Banfield Animal hospital in Norwalk CT. He clearly is just running a business not a hospital. They know who i am and I bet they come up with some lame excuse. My dogs name is "JACK" if Banfield has the nerve to call me. One star is too generous. !!!cant wait for my generic response!!!!

I have been a client of Banfield Hospital Norwalk for almost six years. This place has never had good reviews but I found one of their doctors to be very caring and gave my dog really good medical care. After she left (about 2 yrs ago), I have struggled to find a competent doctor. One doctor in particular has the bedside manner of a fly. Still I kept trying. My dog is a small maltipoo and he is cystic. Nothing serious, just benign subacious cysts. I have their Optimum Wellness Plan that includes dental cleaning. When scheduling his dental cleaning, I take the opportunity to also schedule to have any cysts removed. By doing this, he is only under anesthesia once, he only need to have bloodwork done once and the plan includes the cost of the anesthesia and bloodwork. I only have to pay the surgery for removing any cyst(s). He has had his teeth cleaned every year since he was one. He is six now. He has had 2 cysts removed which consists of a punch hole and 1-2 stitches at the cost of $110 -$150. 2 weeks ago, I furiously walked out after checking him in for surgery because they quoted me a $412 charge for removing his tiny cyst. Get this... they charged me for a sterile sheet and sterile gloves. I will NEVER go back there again.

We recently visited this location since we moved and we were very happy with the Stamford CT location. What a mistake this was. We went there for a booster shot with the Banfield reminder postcard on hand, they told us it would be no issue and that we would be next. 30 minutes later they didnt even request the records yet, 10 minutes after that another "helper" told us that they needed to do a whole other phisical on the dog and that we needed to make an appointment or go to Stamford and get it done right away. They wasted over 50 minutes of my time and we drove 50 minutes each way. The staff was VERY rude, inefficient and inept to the 10th degree. The owner didnt even bother top follow up. This place is a fraud in my opinion. Stamford is MUCH better.

Polite but clueless. Everybody there is like 17 years old. Had no idea they had treated my cat for the same thing in 2013. I had to tell them to go look at their records. They suggested x-rays, $500, blood work, $300, and some other things for a total of over $1,000 when all he needed was an injection to calm his stomach. I told the vet that he had been vomiting all day and she never even mentioned possible dehydration. Got him home, he drank water for 2 days, rested and started eating again today. Totally back to normal. Find a real vet if you care about your animals. Chewys got better prices and free delivery on pet food and supplies.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET!!! I usually go to the Banfield in Stamford, which is awesome, by the way (Dr. Robb & Dr.Tucker) They actually care more about your pet than money. Not this Banfield. My dog had eaten onions, which can be deadly, and refused to see my dog unless I spent $65 to call Poison Control. I pay $70 a month to be on their wellness plan, my bill was already going to be between 3 and 4 hundred dollars, so I was not spending $70 on something so pointless. It actually horrifies me that these people work with animals because they really could care less about the health of your animal. Go the extra 8 exits to the Stamford one!!

rip off, had my first visit, vet said, oh his adult teeth are all in, next day they all fell out. the meds were OTC for most of what my pet got, and i left with a huge vet bill for a free checkup, while i understand meds cost money, they were DEFINITELY compensating for the visit by hiking up the prices on them.

Outstanding. 4 pets on wellness plans, all who have been treated for a variety of illnesses, injuries, and routine care - I find the care to be compassionate, thorough and affordable (medical care for pets is not free, folks). The support staff and the vets could not be nicer.

Yea let me bring my DIABETIC cat here for years paying thousands of dollars for sugar tests and this whole time they lied because I changed hospitals since banfield is all around crappy and the records showed no sugar tests. Going to rip them a new one next time they see me.

Worst banfield. I used to go to one in Ohio and they were really nice. Here they seem to care more about money then your pet. After 5 years of going there I had enough! Never again!

Dont go, they are totally disorganized, made an appointment, showed up early and eventually left 45 minutes after the appointment time.

About the most expensive place you can take your pet. Bring your dog in for the smallest stuff, wind up spending $500 every time.
