I honestly cannot begin to express how amazing my visit at BlueBack Dental was. I broke a tooth at 5:15 on a Thursday evening. Not wanting to wait (severe dental anxiety) until the following day, on a whim I tried calling BlueBack Dental (I am NOT their regular patient) and explained the situation to the receptionist. She stated that the doctor was not available at that moment but asked me just to come on in and she was sure someone could see me and help my broken tooth. I was shocked by this but obviously happy so off I went! I walked in and the receptionist could not have been more accomodating, she showed me their online registration system. As I was working on it (by this time it was close to 6pm and the office closed at 5:30pm), the assistant came to get me and said that Dr. Molyneaux was waiting for me so I could finish after my procedure. I walked right into the room and there was the doctor. He couldnt have been more friendly or patient with me. He looked in my mouth and gave me two options- to either get a temporary filling in 5 minutes or just to get it fixed right then and there. He said he could do either and did not seem annoyed that it was well past when he shouldve been gone. I said I would rather just get the procedure at that time instead of coming back. So off the assistant went to get everything ready...still no complaining or rushing from anyone. Ill spare the details but basically I almost passed out several times due to my high anxiety about dentistry and had to hold the assistants hand and the doctors hand while he worked on me, they even got oxygen to get ready to give me (Im 33 weeks pregnant) and they couldnt have been kinder or made me feel more at ease (despite how anxious I was). They finished up and once I got up, I felt completely sick again and ended up on the floor of the reception area- totally embarassing! My husband ended up having to come get me but the entire time, there were two receptionists, two dentists, and the assistants right there with me talking to me and helping calm me down! I could not believe the treatment I got, and how welcome and cared for they made me feel. I didnt end up leaving the office until after 7pm (the office closed at 5:30pm!) and still never once felt rushed or like they were annoyed at me. I will be switching to make them my permanent dentists (Im sure they will not be happy to hear that hahaha). Thank you so much to EVERYONE at BlueBack Dental for my amazing experience!

Everyone was very nice in the office, but the worst experience with a dentist Ive ever had. I went in for the first time and the dentist wanted to fix everything possible. By the time he was done telling me everything that needed to be done, we were up to almost $3000. I let them fix one tooth that he claimed had a filling that was decaying. I let him fix it and then had nothing but problems. It was sensitive and hurt when I chewed on it. Every time I went in, he said he didnt have time to look at my films. When I went back for the tooth that was now giving me problems, he said he didnt know what to to tell me and that these things happen and are unexplainable. He then mentioned how it would most likely result in a root canal. After this experience, I asked around and it seems since they moved their practice to the very expensive part of West Hartford, they have been charging for above and beyond. I went back to a dentist I trusted. I didnt want to drive an hour since I moved,but it was well worth. He fixed the filling that Blue Back messed up, took new x-rays that he didnt even charge me for because the ones from Blue Back were blurry, and was shocked when I told him what procedures they wanted to do. Bottom line: they care m more about they can charge you for than you! Do not trust them.

A broken tooth brought me to Dr. Wu in December 2011. I had a big fear of dentists and avoided getting care because of it. I would even have to take a sedative to have my teeth cleaned. I’m only given 1250 characters here to explain why I am writing this reference so to sum it up…DR. WU AND BLUE BACK DENTAL ARE EXCELLENT! The office and staff are very nice and friendly. I’ve never had to wait more than a moment to be called in for my appointment and that makes me feel like they value my time. The whole atmosphere makes me relaxed. Then of course there is Dr. Wu. He is a great guy and is friendly and knowledgeable and VERY gentle. He uses these neat little mouthpieces that your mouth rests on while work is being done and it automatically has a suction so no more having TWO people in your mouth at once! The rooms are bright and clean with outside views and have tv’s positioned so you can watch tv while being treated. I did not tell Dr. Wu that I was afraid of the dentist yet he treated me with much care and explained everything to me so I would be part of my own treatment plan. I had a lot of work to be done so he helped me create a way I could afford it so we could address the most important things first. I highly recommend Dr Wu.

Whenever I walk into Blue Black Dental I am always greeted with big smiles and friendly welcomes from all of the staff members. My most recent visit was for a concern I had with my bite. My appointment was with Dr. Wu and I felt he really went out of his way to provide me with all of the information I needed to know to fix my problem. Although my concerns were mostly for aesthetic reasons and not any harm to my health, he was very understanding and could see where I was coming from. He told me exactly what I wanted to know and the advantages/disadvantages involved. I am very grateful that he could be so straight forward and honest with me! I have never once had a problem coming to this office for any type of appointment. The staff are all very nice and put in the effort to get to know the patient. They also provide patients with free parking in the garage woooo!!!!!! AND the lady who works at the front desk is really cool and knows how to rock the red hair :)

I happened upon Blue Back Dental through a Groupon back in 2010. My husband and I did not and still do not have dental insurance and were excited to get a cleaning, periodontal exam and x-rays for under $100. But that wasnt the best part...we found our new dental office! We absolutely love going to this office, the staff is wonderful, doctors are very knowledgeable, easy to get to and a great value. I have never been crazy about going to the dentist until I found Blue Back Dental. Seeing that you are reading reviews please know that we are all entitled to personal opinion, but also know that there has never been a time in which I felt pressured to get work done, felt dismissed or ignored or that the work I had done was sub-par. I feel so good about the care I have received from Blue Back Dental I have recommended them to many people even my mom & dad. You will not be disappointed.
