We brought our family dog here because he was acting strange, laying in corners and not being himself, so my Mother brought Sammy to shelton and the vet prescribed Sammy meds and my Mom and Sammy went home. A week later I was home with my Mom and Sammy and Sam threw up blood so we rushed him to Flagler Animal Hospital! Sammuy was a healthy 6 year old terrier! We had to put him down because his stomach was no longer! The medicine that the vet prescribed desolved Sammys stomach lining and there was no amount of money we could have spent that could reverse the damage! The Flagler Animal Hospital seen (my mom brought the meds she was giving Sammy) what my Mom was giving Sammy which she was told to do by shelton, well the combination of the meds is what killed our baby! The vet at Flagler hospital said that it is a well known combo never to prescribe! ??? So why did Shelton?? My Mother couldnt get over that she personally fed our family baby what led to his death... She did it because Shelton told her to!!! Sue?? We shoulda sued!!!

Weve been using Shelton for the past 2yrs and will continue to use them. The techs are so nice and caring. The Vets are also great and we love them all. Dr. Mandy Trotter (not sure if I got her name right) helped us with an ill Rottie. She didnt just say "I dont know whats wrong…lets put him down." She took the time to research and contact other vets about our dog. She worked so hard to try to save him and she even called us at home to check up on our down during different treatment. In the end we did have to put him down but she was wright there for us and our dog. I could not have asked for a more attentive and compassionate doctor. We look to them for guidance with our pets and recommend them to everyone.

This is hands down the best vet clinic I have ever dealt with. My husband was military so we have seen quite a few over the years. Shelton clinic seems to sincerely care about your animals instead of just seeing dollar signs. The entire staff is adorable when interacting with the pets, treating them like their own babies. They have fit my elderly lab in quickly for emergency visits when she was hurting and treated her so well without running a ton of expensive and unnecessary tests. I am eternally grateful for this clinic, without them I dont think my fur baby would be walking and running around like she does. All of the men and women there are amazing, especially the techs.

I am very angry with the staff at Shelton in Bunnell. I have been bringing my dogs to this practice for 15 years and yesterday during the day, my dog got very ill and when we called they said they said they couldnt see her because they were too busy and sent me to the animal ER. My precious dog, Tootsie, died yesterday and they didnt care enough to see her. I will never take another dog to this practice and will tell everyone I know! Thank you Flagler Animal Hospital for your compassion towards my sweet girl. Even though you couldnt save her, at least you were there when we needed you!

I have worked with Shelton Animal Hospital in both Bunnell & Palm Coast. Im a breeder with 10 dogs and dozens of puppies a year. Im extremely familiar with veterinarians moving 7 times in the past 12 years. Shelton is one of the worst vets I have ever used. A good vet cares more about the pet the their bottom dollar and if you know what your talking about (and I do) then you can tell quickly what they care about. We have used multiple vets including Dr. Andrea Kaser and others and all have been a disappointment. Uncaring, Greedy & HORRIBLE Customer Service. HORRIBLE Customer Service.

Would never recommend them to anyone! They have almost killed my horse and cost me $1,000s after I had to take him to UF to repair what they did for a simple choke. Should have learned my lesson with them then but months later they overdosed my dog on a simple sedative shot and cost me $100s in emergency vet fees where he had to stay over night. Two different vets might I add. Two separate times! If you love your animals as much as I love mine please take them elsewhere.

I just had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Lockwood today. We have many animals and horses, my wife and I brought our Doberman in because she was having issues. Dr. Lockwood was very attentive to what was going on with our dog and listened to what we were saying. In all the years I have dealt with vets it was a pure pleasure to deal with a Vet that truly cares! Thank you Dr. Lockwood.

I have been a client for 11 years, I have 4 horses, 2 dogs and 11 cats. Dr. Shelton is an amazing vet that always has treated my animals like they were his own. The comment about him putting money first is absurd. My animals are my family and I would trust no other. He and his staff are absolutely the best. My animals and I love Dr. Shelton.

I love Dr. Boganoska and Dr. Jen. The medical vet techs are awesome. They were very good when i had to put my poor 6 year old Maltese down. She had been previously under the care of another vet that said she had anxiety and prescribed meds. The entire time she was panting because she was unable to breathe.
