The adoption center is nice and seems mostly friendly. Not the biggest help all the time. It mostly depends on who you talk to. The guy that runs the place is a nice helpful guy. I want to give this place more stars but I just cant because of their low-cost clinic and the problem we got with our new little one. (I understand the clinic to be an extension of them since the owner of the adoption center told us that the clinic was his too.) Our kitten ended up having ringworm. We got him without being told he had been exposed. I understand ringworm is common in shelter kittens but a heads up would have been great. Perhaps the vet bills being even discounted at their clinic would have been greatly appreciated. However they did nothing. They were very detailed about what we needed to do from here on out with vaccines since we adopted a kitten. He didnt have all his vaccines and we didnt have a primary vet so, we went to their clinic. Possibly the worst decision. First, they very much demanded we do differently than what their adoption center recommended. Certain techs and the vet were nice and have been the couple of times we went there. However, they have some very rude and demanding employees. Going to the vet means money which is fine. However, it was very unpleasant when someone demands money from you in a rude way when you havent spoke a word to them. When it comes to money, they will call you and demand you come in for something you werent told about. If you were told, they will call you saying you must come sooner for some reason that doesnt make sense. It has happened twice for us. At the end of an exam, they told me when I needed to come back for more shots and checkups because the kitten would finally be able to get his rabies. This is completely reasonable and expected. However, the tech made a mistake reading the calendar and told me I needed to come in a week earlier than needed. I caught this mistake immediately. I explained that she just told me it would be in 2 weeks but the date given was the following week. She immediately became very nasty. She snapped at me and said I didnt know what I was talking about. She didnt get a rise from me but I explained that she read the breaks in the calendar as it switched months wrong. Once she understood, she was suddenly nice again. It was very strange and I was very put off by it. I believed the place to be at least clean till I saw them bring another animal into a room that had not been sterilized after the last sick animal left. At the end of the day, I just recommend being careful with the humane society and to not give in to the tempting low prices of their clinic. It is not worth it.

My experience at the pet clinic not the shelter on Thursday after their lunch hour was horrible. I brought my cat in back in April as a walk in because I had read on their website they took walk-ins etc. I didnt realize they changed their policy. The lady at the front desk was super nice , there was a lady with long Red hair that was ungodly rude to me. She was talking so loudly saying we dont take walk ins anymore, no we can not see your cat today. I explained to her that I didnt know because Im no mind reader. She slammed the door and shes so loud I can here her talking horribly about me and being so nasty saying the vets not going to see her cat. The desk lady was trying her best and the red head lady said well Im not going to ask him, you can. She says there should be an extra fee for walk ins we dont have time, were closing early today. The sweet mannered young lady talks to the doctor and hes so nice and sees my cat which just needed vaccines. I was just simply trying to give them my business since the money helps their shelter and I like my animals to have the same vet. Just moving to the area in January I didnt know a local vet and made the decision to take my animals here. I was so upset after I got into the exam room I started bawling my eyes out. I dont know why as a paying customer I should have been treated so horribly and rude. I heard her mumbling and everything she said about me and she doesnt even know me. Thankfully the vet was great and I commend the young lady for her professionalism in the front. Being rude and nasty and ugly to people gets you nowhere in life. I dont think I go to this clinic because its cheaper because its not that cheap. I pay a hundred bucks Everytime I go in there. I go there because I felt they truly cared about my animals. I apologized for the inconvenience. I called 8 times before I came just to make sure they had time. No answer. I had called there a couple weeks ago and the lady said to always come in as a walk in right after their lunch in which I did. I felt like an intruder, a burden. My feelings were hurt badly. I even had bought a bunch of cat food and dog food to donate to the shelter in which I just took somewhere else. I wont be coming back because of the red head lady. I sure dont want to go through that again. I was raised with manners and Im kind to everyone I meet. Im saddened the way she treated me. If youre having a bad day dont take it out on your customers. Try being nice like the young lady in the front. Have manners like the wonderful vet you have or Maybe if you hate your job so Badly find a new one. You lost me as a customer.

i started going to this pet clinic when I adopted a dog on Craigslist back in June of 2015. I had all of her vaccinations done and her spay too. I have probably been to the clinic over 10 times. I really liked some of the staff as well and everything seemed like it was going well. Recently my dog has had some health concerns including some blood in her urine. So I went to the pet clinic hoping to see the vet. Place was not crowded and when I was asked her symptoms I let them know what was going on and was told to take her across the street to another vet. I was surprised by this and thought maybe the front desk person should consult with the vet or a med tech first. The front desk woman was rude and curt with me and asked if I have ever been there before even though I have dealt with this front desk staff person at every visit. Then she could not find us in the system. I thought at the very least someone could have taken a minute to ease my fears and my panic about my dogs condition. I did take my dog to another clinic and all that was needed was a urine sample and the dx was made by this other vet. It is a UTI the vet said and promptly provided me with the treatment medication. While I was at this new vet they wanted her records which I had with me with the exception of the record of a heart worm test. Med tech said he would call to get verification over the phone. Well he called and got a live person on the phone and was transferred 3 times only to be hung up on. Well I ended having to pay for another heart-worm test. You can never talk to someone over the phone without having to leave a voice mail and hope that someone might call you back later that day. Well I am aware that the pet clinic does not deal with emergency issues but in my case a simple urine test could have been done and I would not have had to run all over town trying to find a vet for this issue. So all in all I won;t go back to the humane society for pet care in the future. There is no need to be rude to people and it is inexcusable to not be able to locate records on a pet. I think there needs to be more monitoring of the staff by a supervisor and a change in attitude is so needed.
