I brought my dog here for a general exam and also to check a lump that had developed on her neck. Understanding that Dr. Brancato may have been airing on the side of caution he immediately wanted to move towards surgically removing the lump. I feel this should have been a last resort in order to not put my dog through unnecessary pain and discomfort (not to mention my wallet as well.) Dont get me wrong I care for my dog a lot. When it comes to matters of her health and safety money is not an issue if I didnt have it Id find it to ensure her good health.That being said I felt like I was being upsold everything and anything that could be thrown at me. Dont get me wrong I am well aware that many vets have the potential to do this but I felt this particular vet may have been practicing to long and lost his compassion for the animals and the owners who love them dearly. His very soft spoken voice may fool you otherwise but dont let that sweet talk you. It was also evident that his staff may have lost some compassion too, not to mention they seemed to get annoyed by him and who could blame them? He was constantly telling them how to do their job, double checking their work and, reminding them of what to say or, do when it was obvious they were aware of the procedures. I ended up taking her to another vet who admitted she was a surgeon at heart but, was not concerned with the lump as he had been and wanted to monitor it over the next few months. Not even a week or so later and the lump has receded drastically. Although there were some things he diagnosed and treated correctly (a tapeworm) I still felt as if I was being taken for a ride. Most of the products on the shelves were ridiculously overpriced, even the prescribed ones as well. I believe I paid around $28 for trifexis where at this new vet I paid $19. My advice, unless you want to be overcharged, upsold and, possibly put your dog through unnecessary treatments and surgeries stay away!

Took the newest member of our family to get a puppy check-up/physical as needed for her health guarantee from the breeder. Our puppy ended up getting (2) duplicate sets of shots/meds even though the health certificate I provided stated that she had said meds/vaccines ten days prior. The meds were given without knowledge of what they were and an estimate of services (I would have caught the duplicates myself) that were to be performed like every other Vet office I have been to. Felt like I was taken for a ride and they totally ignored the vaccine records that were provided to them. His suggestions on feeding and potty/crate training were so odd that when I repeated his instructions to our dog trainer she laughed and questioned his competency. Then he went on to sarcastically insult us by telling us that the dog we purchased from a breeder with full AKC paperwork and a full family history was not pure breed. Poor way of doing business. felt totally disrespected and will not be going back.

We took our toy Schnauser to Dr BRANCATO because she had swallowed a piece of wood and was very Ill. Ive never met a more caring and knowledgeable Vet (and I used to work for one). Our dog is nearly blind because of Cataracts and shes afraid of strangers but Dr Brancato immediately put her at ease by talking to her soothingly and rubbing her face and head. She never even flinched. She Warmed up to him as if she had known him forever. When we were leaving he came out and asked us to call and let him know how she was doing. He was, and is genuinely interested in the welfare of his "patients". We so love our little "daughter in a puppy dog suit" so to find a Vet who is as knowledgeable, as he is compassionate is a wonderful thing! And his staff is as kind and caring as he is... That says a lot in my book. We will TOTALLY recommend him to our friends and anyone else looking for a good Vet to take their babies to.

My wife Kim and I had a 2 year old kitten show up at our door around Christmas. She wouldnt leave, so we took her to Dr. Brancato who was able to locate her owners through her microchip. She had escaped from them. We ended up adopting her (her other owners had three other cats). We didnt know how long Sarah had been on her own outside, and she wasnt eating. Dr. Brancato determined Sarah had a liver disease caused by not eating/malnourishment and recommended a treatment regimen. Since that didnt work, he inserted a tube, and we tube fed her for 4 weeks. Toward the end of that period, she began eating on her own. Today, Sarah is a healthy 2 1/2 year old with a voracious appetite! Kim and I couldnt have saved her without the dedication, compassion and professionalism of Dr. Brancato and his always wonderful staff, Elizabeth and Andrea. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Rick, Andrea, and Elizabeth are excellent, caring, and the most professional vet staff anywhere. Dr. Ricks education and experience are top notch. They take the very best care of every pet and their parents. From the infant pet to the geriatric, he is knowledgable, open, and provides the highest quality of care. Because of the care and kindness, I was able to take care of my CRF kitty at home under their guidance. I recieved phone calls during her hospital stays to keep me updated. All the special items needed where promptly obtained, and guidance and support where generously provided. They are simply the best!

We have been taking our Aussie Dusty to Dr Brancato for 14 years. He is so patient and compassionate. He takes the time to explain things and answer any questions you may have. Andrea and Elizabeth are both so caring and i love the fact that they call to see how your "baby" is doing after an appointment. You never have to wait long for an appointment and when you walk in they make you feel like you are their only clients :) I would never hesitate to recommend Dr Brancato and staff to anyone at anytime. Keep up the good work!! You guys are awesome :)

We have been taking our dog, Molly, to Animal Medical Center since 2006. Dr. Brancato and his staff are by far the best veterinary clinic we have ever taken our animals to. The staff goes above and beyond what I have come to expect from other veterinary clinics. Dr. Brancato takes the time to talk to you and explain everything in detail. We now board Molly at Animal Medical Center when we go out of town because we are positive that she will receive the best care available. We highly recommend Animal Medical Center!

Dr. Brancato was very thorough. I brought my cat for her annual checkup and vaccinations and the doc and his staff (Liz and Andrea) were very sweet and they explained everything wonderfully. I had quite a few questions about different preventative flea treatments and wanted specific info regarding each option. Very satisfied.
