My seven month old daughter received her first eye exam today at Maitland Vision Center. Her exam was part of a program I found online called InfantSEE in which six to twelve month olds are screened for any potential eye health problems. Being the eager first time mom that I am, I just had to check it out! The idea is that if found early, any problems would be easier to correct. Participating doctors donate their time to the program (so that the exam is at no cost to the parents) because they are devoted to good eye care at all ages. I had never been to MVC before as I typically visit another optometrist, however, after todays visit I will likely switch my own care to the practice. The office was extremely clean (enough that I let my baby crawl in the floor). The office staff was friendly and welcoming. There was even complimentary coffee, hot tea, and jelly beans in the waiting area. They seem to carry very stylish choices in frames, many I had never seen before at any of the offices Ive visited and the office had a boutique-like feel. The doctor and his assistant were great with my daughter during the exam and even gave her a kitten finger puppet as a reward for an exam well done. I cant express enough what a positive experience we had and would definitely recommend this practice to others!

I absolutely loved the care and treatment I received from Dr. Ryan Schott and his staff. I totally appreciate that this practice is not just another big-market vision center. Maitland Vision Center was not in-network with my vision insurance plan, but Ive learned through experience those plans are so great after all. I received a discount on the services including contacts and glasses that would probably have been comparable anyway. I will definitely use Dr. Schott for my annual check-ups and eye care needs. I had been putting off having my eyes dilated for so long because the last time I had this done at Wal-Mart Vision Center, I could hardly see to drive home and the affects lasted for hours. I did not have that problem at Maitland and left there with a disposable pair of dark shades which the staff provided free of charge. Great place, professional and friendly staff!

The entire staff at Maitland Vision Center are extremely friendly and professional. They make you feel welcome the minuet you walk in the door. The equipment is the latest and the medical staff are expertly trained in operating the equipment. Dr. Schott makes you feel like you are his only patient, giving you all the time needed to provide a thorough exam with an exact prescription and fitting of contact lens. The office runs on time, with very little waiting. Hours are flexible to meet your needs. I highly recommend Dr. Schott and his staff to anyone needing eye care, young or old.

I have been a patient at Maitland Vision Center for 30 years. Drs. Willson and Schott always deliver their care using up-to-date studies and technology, but their recent addition, though low-tech, is just as impressive. I’ve speaking of their optician Scott Schilling. With Scott’s guidance I am wearing the lightest, brightest frames I’ve ever owned. I am a grandma now, but I don’t feel like an old lady. Well done, Maitland Vision Center.

Dr. Schott is the best. He is very thorough, and utilizes state of the art equipment and testing. He has expertly figured out my contact lenses, which in itself is a medical miracle! He is patient, caring, and an expert at what he does! The staff is super friendly, competent, and the office is clean and comfortable. AND, I have never had to sit and wait - they run on schedule! I love this office. The staff is exceptional and Dr. Ryan is the best. When you get your exam it is so thorough you know that you have received the best care possible. They dont overbook so you know if you have a 11:15 appointment you are going to be seen at that time. I would like to thank them for the great job that they do. Also I love the jelly bellies.

Id been having problems with my left eye for a couple days. I called Monday morning and they were able to see me that afternoon. The woman working the front desk is very sweet and Dr. Schott knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I highly recommend them!
