Ive been a client of this location for nearly 10 years now and have never had an issue with them. Back in December, they referred me to their Daytona location so I could use my insurance allowance for my contacts before the year was up, since they were booked solid until February. I gladly went to the Daytona location (40 minutes from me) to have my annual eye exam, contact exam, and to get fitted for my new lenses since the ones Ive used for 15 years are no longer on the market. After all was said and done, I paid $40 for the fitting that my insurance didnt cover, ordered my contacts, and set a follow up appointment. Unfortunately, I got the flu the following week, so I called the office to let them know I couldnt make the follow up appointment and that I didnt want people to get sick from me right before the holidays. After 2 phone calls, I finally talked to someone to let them know. I advised the contacts fit great and my vision was noticeably better. I asked if my husband could pick up my contacts since I was ill, and they said not a problem, and that they would call me when they came in. For the next 4 weeks, I called them to check if my lenses were in. I was transferred back to the contacts desk multiple times, sitting on hold, and inevitability leaving voicemails. Call after call, hour after hour of waiting on hold, and nothing. So, i had my husband stop in on his way home from work and they ended up telling him that they never even ordered my contacts even though they submitted the claim to my insurance company! After more calls, more waiting on hold, more voicemails, and never being called back, I decided to visit the Orange City office this morning to see if they could help. They spent 45 minutes calling and waiting for the Daytona office to fax my records (that the Daytona office never put in the computer). I was worried that I would lose my 2017 insurance allowance because the contacts were never ordered in December. The ladies in Orange City were able to confirm for me that they applied it to my 2016 insurance, they got my new prescription, and ordered my contacts within minutes of getting my info. I can not thank them enough for going above and beyond for me to make sure I have my lenses ASAP and do not lose my 2017 allowance. After 10 years, I will continue to be a client of theirs! Thank you ladies! You saved me many more hours of frustration and not knowing if I will be able to see since I had no contacts left and only old glasses!

I have been a patient of this Eye Savers store for the past 10 years!!! I called my primary on Tuesday because I started seeing a brown spot from my right eye and was instructed to call my eye doctor immediately and make an appt. to have it checked. Today, Wednesday I called the Eye Saver store in Orange City, the one Ive been going to for the past 10 years.....explained my emergency why I needed to see the doctor and was told that the next open appt. was March 21st. Today is April 17th. If I want to be seen as an emergency patient, I will have to go to their Daytona Beach office which is about 35/40 miles depending on where their office is. I once reminded the receptionist that my primary consider this an emergency and I could not wait that long. I was informed I could come in as an emergency patient but would have to pay $60 in advance, even though I have Humana PPO and ChampVA from my husbands military service. She kept repeating everything over and over again, word by word to the point I felt I was talking to a tape recorder. How rude and to not take the word "emergency" into consideration was unacceptable. I will definitely be changing my doctor and find another place where people are thought to be polite to all patience and I will definitely be calling Humana to report such behavior and service. People should not work in positions that make them miserable causing them to treat others as such.

This is by far the WORST place to get your glases or contacts from. I had my contact eye exam done here THREE WEEKS AGO, and have yet to receive my contacts. After 2 weeks without hearing from them I gave them a courtesy call to find out where they were, not only were they ride to me, but they kept trying to get me to hang up and let them "call me back". They spit lies after lies to me. First claiming the didnt know what was going on because they misplaced my chart, then after I refused to hang up with out answers, they magically found my chart and now said that my insurance company didnt cover my exam or contacts, but they would "waive the fee for me" (oh how nice of you) except it was a lie. They never ordered my contacts. They forgot for two weeks. They told me they were ordering them that day and it would only be a few more days. Maximum a week. A littler over a week later I go to the store, and they STILL HAVENT ORDERED MY CONTACTS! no reason as to why. They said Im so sorry well order them today. They will be here in a week. (Seeing a pettern here?) I have yet to get my contacts which I paid over $120 for and will have to wait a month for (that is if they actually ordered them) STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. YOUR BETTER OFF BLIND.

Wow Eye Savers in Orange City: Friendly until they have your money! I went in and chose contacts. I am still in the trial period to see if we can find the right fit. That being said Friday night (the 1st time I was able to wear b/c of allergies) I lost my left contact (the important one). I went in Saturday to ask for a new pair. I was even willing to pay for it even though they are supposed to provide until I can find a good fit. The girl was rude and would not even look at me when she spoke. She informed me only her manager had the authority to sell me contacts. They have all my medical records that show what strength I wear. I asked to see it for myself. At this point I was just going to go to Walmart and buy my own. She told me her manager had to give her that authorization. I am starting to believe her manager tells her when to screw her husband too! ERG! Anyways called today 3xs each time being put on hold until it starts ringing back! Then the same girl answers says ":oh yeah let me see if I can find her". Well how freaking small is she if you lost her in a damn 1000 sq ft office!!?? So needless to say the appointment I was about to make for my kids CANCELED! Actually sitting on hold for the 3rd time in one phone call right now!

If I could give this place 0 stars, that would be my rating. I cant speak for all of the staff but the one that I spoke with was very unprofessional. All I wanted to do was call and make sure that my daughters glasses were there so that I could pick them up. They had scratched them when her father took her there previously to pick them up and they told him that they would just reorder them. Over 3 months later and still nothing. I normally go to the Daytona location but they told me that I could go to the Orange City location since it was closest to me. Never again will I go to this place. I was put on hold so that the girl, I believe her name was Crystalee, could look up her info. Three times she got back on the line to ask me the same questions and to spell my daughters name. Was she not writing this information down the first time she asked me??? After being put on hold and getting hung up on over 3 times, I asked to speak with the manager and was put on hold again and hung up on again. Steer clear of this location!!!
