One of the worst experiences I have had in the health care system. When I arrived there were 3 people waiting (and feeezing) so I was prepared to wait since my consultation did not obey to any emergency. I had been referred to the clinic by the Medica nurse who performs a yearly examination, due to an impacted ear drum. She had suggested it was bad enough so that a doctor should look into it rather than try any over the counter medications and suggestet an urgent care. After about 1.5 hours a nurse called me in to one of the examination rooms. She was extremely condescending when asking me for the reason of my visit. I had filled out the paperwork previously where a description of the issue was written down, but she did not bother to read it. She then proceeded to tell me that the urgent care facility did not perform the procedure required and anyway I should have tried the over the counter remedies first. I explained I had been told by the Medica nurse that I should seek medical help. She proceeded to lecture me in the same condescending tone that the nurse that had referred me did not work at the facility and little did she know what they were able to do or not. At that moment and since my visits to a doctor have been limited to my yearly check up I asked her if I should leave instead of wait for a doctor. A few minutes before she had examined my ear and told me it was not impacted at all. Suddenly I realized that a nurse I trusted, that had treated me with respect and care had seen something that necessitated according to her, an Urgent Care visit. Meanwhile this lady, also a nurse but with an attitude, zero consideration or bedside manners, was contradicting everything my Medica nurse had said. I asked myself why should I trust her over the other and decided to wait for a doctor. I was shown out to the waiting room again for a few minutes after which the same nurse took me to one of the examination rooms, told me to sit, showed me a TV and where the control was and told me to wait for the doctor. I waited in the freezing cold of that room for another hour and nobody came. I decided I had waited enough and opened the door to leave. I said goodbye to the ladies/nurses behind the desk and could hear them whispering to each other .. "did someone take care of her " ? no?? .oh !! ... I have no idea if the doctor was present behind that desk but there were about three to four people behind computers or leaning against the counter. When I left I asked the ladies at the outside desk to please remove my name from their list since I had not seen any doctor. Their answer was even more mediocre than the service: "Oh we just have one doctor here" .. I am not sure if they meant this statement as an apology or a justification of their extremely terrible service. If it was, it did not work either way. I totally understand that I did not come in into the facility with an emergency but as a center where I could reach a doctor I had been recommended to see. I was more than willing to wait more than a reasonable time. But the facility had 2 patients before me and one after me up until the moment I was shown to the examination room and ordered to wait. So why make me wait for over an hour ? and without the minimum courtesy of coming in and asking if I needed anything and updating me as to the doctors schedule. There were plenty people employed by the facility - two outside, plus I saw at least 3 or 4 at the counter inside. Couldnt at least one of them notice they had a patient behind a closed door? I had been there since 12 noon and I left at 3PM, freezing, with no faith left in this health system and of course with absolute amazement at the absence of any customer service whatsoever in a facility that should know that when we come in it is. not like we are going to the movies to have a good time but because we need the help of their proffessional staff. Shame on the facility, shame on corporate, and shame on the condescending nurse and the indifferent attendants. Ines Cortes

I had been experiencing inflammation, pain, swelling & warmth from my elbow. When it didnt resolve on its own, I decided to visit an urgent care clinic. I chose this location because it was close to my home, accepted my insurance & had good reviews. I was the first patient to arrive to this clinic on a Thursday. The receptionist was extremely friendly and professional. As were the nurse assistant and registered nurse. However, I was less than pleased with the service I received from the physician. She was rudely brief which was confusing considering there were no other patients to be seen. She didnt even take a seat to examine my elbow, attempting to poke & prod from a distance. After diagnosing me with cellulitis in a matter of 90 seconds, she proceeded to minimize the condition citing its commonality and the ease of treatment. I have attached pictures for anyone interested in seeing the severity. She prescribed an antibiotic and dismissed herself. Four days later and my condition has worsened in some ways. Its extremely painful & hard to complete every day tasks while taking care not to further damage my elbow. She didnt prescribe as much as Ibuprofen for the pain, nor did she explain the prognosis. She did however, offer a sling, as if Id be interested in having material of any sort brushing up against two sizable & tender pus filled nodules on my elbow. Ill definitely be seeing another physician for the incision and drainage - one with the time and compassion to resolve my issue.

I went to the Baptist Health at Brickell today for a CT Scan for kidney stones. An X-Ray prescribed by my GP was taken at a Hospital down the road revealed two stones. I asked my my GP to send the CT Scan request to Baptist Health because the Hospitals attendance was abhorrent ! What a wise decision! Katrina Carrera, the Scheduling Attendant took care of all the paperwork so when I arrived, signed the forms and was immediately taken for the procedure by the Technologist Nelson Jimenez who gave me all the details with kindness and respect that a patient deserves! He listen to my questions with attention and patiently answered them to my satisfaction. Great assets to the Baptist Health !

This place is amazing!!! Friendly and competent staff at front desk, nurses are nice and the doctor I saw was awesome! Went in for a bad cold/tonsillitis. Clean and nice! My insurance (blue) had no co pay which was even better! Nice clean waiting area - no Crazy wait. They do not answer the phone or even have it in the office so dont bother calling... Just go in! Easy parking! Had such a good experience. Highly recommend! They also have a huge banner with a list of all the services/costs for uninsured in the lobby which is nice.... I remember what is was like to be uninsured before. Great place!

Great facility. I dont think I waited in the lobby for more than 15 mins before being called. I highly recommend this urgent care. (5 star service!) Ive never used an urgent care before this and I was really not sure what to expect, but I was surprisingly impressed. The staff were are all polite, courteous, professional with extremely great bed side manner. Bravo zulu!! Well done. Way to go Baptist and perfect example of how an urgent care facility should be run. Special thank you to Conchita at reception and Dr. Sanz. Thank you. Mike
