Wow. Still in the " Rite Care " Parking lot basking in the Glow of relief and the experience was so positive I have to write about it while the experience is fresh. I am a private person who does not like to have to categorize myself, squeeze myself and my medical life onto a single "History" page. Yes it is mostly black and white and of course is has nothing to Do with Rite Care. For DIY or "tough it out" guys like myself this is a moment of vulnerability that you are placing into the hands of people your self body and future , people who have the upper hand in determining both your short term reaction to the procedure and the long term outcome. The smallest little slack or attention in one single process out of the whole thing could result in more complications or in this instance uncomplicated relief. Same goes for your pride. We make ourselves vulnerable to injuries to our ego that we dont seem to acknowledge openly but they are real and have a HUGE impact on how many people who need care actually see care as well as how many people who get the first visit and then make it to the second or fail the compliance needed to resolve this issue . Well let me tell you. This Urgent care, Rite Care, from Chris at the Front Desk, (I think ) to Dr. Alvarez(hope Im allowed to say names openly) who said "youll hate Me today but love tommorow, to which I say "I love you today AND tomorrow!" , who was very deliberate with what she was doing with plenty of keeping me both in the loop and assuring me that my fairly dramatic and exaggerated reactions are normal; basically telling me not to worry about my wincing with gusto even when nothing was being done. These little things about oneself can be pretty embarrassing and harder to overcome in walking thru the door at all than the pain involved in whatever is being done. And Her right hand man, Orlando(I really hope I got it right) was from the get go a really cool and reassuring dude, not changing one ioata of respect . And his packing the wound was very well done.....well it was painless and I expected it to have some pain. And when they were in the room together you could tell they worked together as a great team there, as I could hear the kind of banter YOU WANT to hear in the doctors office, the kind that suggests an air of trust, co-operation and cohesiveness, communicated through the way they were very hustle bustle, lets be the best and the most efficient we can be without that overly formal and insincere talk you might overhear in an Urgent Care that TRIED to be like this Rite Care IS. It ended with being checked out by a warm and personable young lady who I believe is also a physical therapist and she was obviously excellent at what she was doing with me and a peron noted something positive about her below Rite Care is REAL care. Might as well call it Bbb

I had infection in the genital area . Basically ingrown hair that previously I thought that I had already dealt with by squeezing the puss out and removing the hair with tweezers , then I disinfected it alcohol , applied "Neosporin" , and that was that . On the next day morning I woke up with quite bad pain where the pimple was , and to my horror I see that the pimple had become the size of walnut , the area was painful to the touch . Obviously I had to see Doctor immediately , but my regular M.D. does not work Saturday & Sunday , and I really didnt want to go to Emergency room for it . That is how I end up Goggling for Medical center working on weekends , and I found " Rite care " at 14201 South Dixie Highway . I call them before going there , just to make sure that they will be able to see me right way , and for my pleasant surprise the front desk girl told me to came right in , and that they take my " Blue cross & Blue shield " insurance . Upon arriving there I had to do the usual paper work for new patients , and I was right in . The Nurse check my vitals and no more than 5 minutes later Dr. Clegg came in the room , there were the usual questions if I smoke , drink or if I have any allergies to medications and she was down business . She was extremely cautious not to cause me more pain than I already was experiencing . Before I knew what was happening , she already had it open and after taking lab sample , clean and patched it up . After giving me directions on how to change dressing and writing me prescription for antibiotics , she told me to go for check up to her 2 days later , and I was on my way home . The whole experience took no more than 1 hour , and I have to admit that I have never been at Doctors office for any treatment in such short time before . I would highly recommend that establishment with its staff for their care and expedience .

I came here for a very bad throat infection that I could barely eat or talk. The doctor was very attentive, & everyone was nice overall. The only downside to this place is that if youre not here with an appointment , youll be here for about an hour waiting ... which to me, urgent care centers were made for people that need URGENT CARE, & dont want to go to a hospital & wait an hour or more to get called for .. The doctor was nice, a Cuban doctor.. **Update: I went back after 1 week for a follow up. My voice was GONE. My throat still hurt. My chest was hurting from all the coughing. Another doctor attended me this time. He was maybe from India. & he was shocked that when i went a week ago they didnt give me any antibiotics. He stated that just cause my STREP THROAT test came back negative, it didnt mean that I didnt have an infection because thats not the only infection that exists. I had NO VOICE. So he was very apologetic, prescribed antibiotics & told me I cannot work for 3 days since I work at a call center & id never get better. Thanks to him, I got better within 1-2 days. Best doctor there. He was incredible. So i dont recommend it because youll only get good service depending on what doctor you get...

This was by far the worst doctors office experience Ive ever had. After several days of cough, chest pain, and general body aches, I visited their Kendall location. My first visit involved a 5 minute consultation followed by a diagnosis of bronchitis. The P.A. who saw me was rude, but I could get over that. However, despite the diagnosis and medication, my condition worsened. 24 hours later I was back in the office because my breathing had become labored and I was running a fever. The same P.A. berated me and criticized my judgment in coming in. She had me in tears as I left, which is never a good feeling when youre sick. My parents urged me to seek further medical attention, but due to that experience, I didnt feel it was worth it. Two days after that visit, my father drove me to the ER where I was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and hospitalized for four days. Visit at your own risk.
