You know I really like this hospital last yr when they helped me with my severe asthma attacks, as well as when I had bronchitis that built so much fluid in my longs I had to go on the longest steroid pack I have ever seen. On 6/8/2015 I went in for an asthma attack and was only at the ER for about an 1.5 hrs... I was the ONLY patient they had in the ER. The two nurses I met, as well as radiology and respiatory were AMAZING.. The Dr, as well as registration I did not like and could have done with out there judgemental tone and attitude. So they gave me 3 steroid pills then also a steroid breathing treatment... (which was so much my body spazzed for 12 plus hrs) Then I continued to have join pains coming off of it for another 4-5 hours... The registration nurse treated me like I was a problem... bcs I dont know who our insurance goes through (Cigna BCBS etc) I only know its called American Workers and the ID number I had... she starts getting rude "Well I dont know what that is" I said "Same here for 2 months they said we didnt exist (my husband and I) but we were paying for it weekly and when I ask what they are they just say American workers" She comes back pissy "Well then your gonna get billed and your not going to like that...." wtf excuse me? I said then "I dont know what you want me to say as much info as I gave is all I GOT! and me sitting here on a breathing treatment you know I shouldnt be talking". I was taken off the breathing treatment because Im not used to SOOOO much steroids at once. Shoot the 5 day pack last yr had me shaking the first 2 days... so the Male nurse from respiratory took me off the liquid right at the end. Then the Registration nurse spoke to the Dr and he immediately just came back in and said the GREEN phlegm is normal I prescribed you an inhaler, you are being discharged.... like really? Do I need to give him a break down on the colors of PHLEGM AND WHAT THEY MEAN... Green = infectious. Period. My general Dr in SC even said the same thing... so I was treated like crap over what my insurance? And to TOP IT OFF I only slept 2 hrs last night thanks to this continuous cough continuous green phlegm and this continuous wheezing...

by far the worst experience of my life. Brought my son there after being released from a different hospital that morning. Was admitted at prior hospital for severe abdominal pain and profuse vommiting. was released after pain and nausea was under control and appendix seemed ok.( 2 days stay) was told if happens again seek attention immediately. Well, that evening it happened again so we went to the closest hospital which was trinity. BIG MISTAKE!! the pain had gotten so bad he was hyperventilationg to the loin this hand were seizing up and frozen in a posturing position. His vomiting was so bad they gave up on the bags and just put a garbage can by his bed. they drew blood then disappeared. He was literally screaming in pain and begging for help. The entire staff watched from the hall and made rude remarks saying he was just tweaking, coming down off a bad high, or was experiencing a bad high. I told them his history and showed him his paper from the previous hospital but they did nothing. We sat and watched my son suffer for hours while they did NOTHING. The doctor finally came in and said his liver function was deteriorating more than the blood drawn by the other hospital. His conclusion was drugs. I argued with him for a very long time explaining that my son does not do drugs and to find why he is in so much pain. He eventually agreed to take a urine sample and test for drugs. ALL NEGATIVE!!! they sent him home anyway with papers on drug addiction and to see a gasterentologist. Well, a few hours later another episode. I went the extra miles to the first hospital. He was treated until they found the reason. Severely impacted intestine and colon on the verge of rupture. He was successfully treated but had he not been seen by them an stayed at trinity his intestine and/or colon would have torn and his life would have been in danger. They wouldnt even have known. They were too busy ignoring him and making him feel like a drug addict, watching him suffer! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!!

It is best to avoid this hospital. After a several days of severe vomiting, my mom went to urgent care and they found an abnormal EKG. They told us to go to an ER to rule out a possible cardiac episode. We went back fairly quickly and initially it seemed as if it was going well. They did blood work and began monitoring her (said her EKG did look abnormal.) A PA (she never saw a doctor) came in and said her potassium levels were very low and she was severely dehydrated. They gave her some potassium, zofram and later came back in and said they needed to admit her. While she was waiting for a room, they did a scan of her abdomen and said they found something on her kidney. This would be the last treatment/intervention she would get during her 19 hours in the ER. If she was so dehydrated, why didnt they start fluids? They also didnt feed her until after 2pm the next day (still waiting on a room) until she mentioned she hadnt had anything. She got a room late Friday afternoon and they didnt release her until Sunday. She saw a hospitalist and that is it. No cardiologist or urologist came by. When questioned, the hospitalist said the EKG was normal (after ER said it was abnormal.) I feel like they were just trying to get money out of medicare. They could have had her hooked up to fluids during the 19 hours she was in the ER and her UTI that they discovered could easily have been treated outpatient.

07/26/2013-5:30pm, I arrived at the Emergency room to meet my 10 year old son, accompanied by my father, following a dirt bike accident. The injury was ten times worse than I expected. It was my sons first time on a gas powered motor and he took a brief unfortunate lesson in throttle control. He fell and what appeared to be a foot petal took a large chunk of tissue from his lower right leg. Upon arrival I was greeted by your triage nurse, who immediately moved him into a room. Mark Polles was the ARNP on staff that evening. He and his team of nurses, especially Laurie, went over above and beyond to not only keeping my son, as well as our family, comfortable; but doing so in a way that was amazingly caring and compassionate! I was expecting him to need reconstructive surgery after seeing the massive wound; however the expertise Mark displayed in stitching my son’s leg back together was like nothing I have ever witnessed! (12 years in the medical field) He spent well over an hour piecing back together tattered and torn skin to what looks like a seamless almost perfect incision. 34 stitches perfectly mended the gaping hole in his leg. I am beyond grateful for not only the services provided but for the level of service which they were provided. I truly felt that he was handled with love and compassion. Your ER team is the greatest. Thank You is an understatement! Gina, Rob, Kyle and Ava
