My Plus Size Hubby

I called this office yesterday. I stated that I am a new patient and I supplied my insurance information. I was given a date and time for my appointment. After I was given the date and time, I asked what the procedure was for me getting a physical. The scheduler told me that it was "common sense" that I would have to have a consultation and then another appointment for my annual lab work. I told her that it was not common sense because every office does thinga differently. I explained to her that the phrase was negative and she apologozed then used it again. Perhaps it is part of the script she has memorized for work. Who knows? Anyway, she put me on hold and came back and stated that the doctor actually doesnt accept mt insurance. After calling my insurance company and verifying that Dr. Vives is contracted with them, they also called her office and Dr. Vivess husband answered. He would not verify whether or not Dr. Vives honors the contract with my insurance. I decided not to press the issue because I figured that if this is how we are going to start a new doctor/patient relationship, things are only going to get worse. Also, it has been my experience with monstrous front office people that I am usually nor the first to complain. If the problem has not been addressed by Dr. Vives already (with all these complaints), then I dont believe she is interested in truly serving her customers. I will travel a bit farther and pay a bit more for a consistenty reliable and friendly doctor. Thank you!

I cannot believe the unprofessional attitude of this doctor! Since the beginning, my daughter told me her staff was unprofessional and rude and I should go elsewhere for my care. I didnt listen and continued to see Dr. Vives, giving her and staff the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake! After building history with her with all the health issues I have, now that I cannot hold a job and I am applying for disability, hospitalization after hospitalization, now she does not want to help me with my paperwork. Went to my appointment today, paid my dues, receptionist came back and gave me the money back and told me that the doctor will not see me. No explanations! She will not deal with my disability either. Asked her if I could atleast see her so that I can get my prescriptions renewed which included in this lot is my high blood pressure medicine which needs to be taken daily, and the staff member told me no she will not see me at all even for my prescriptions. To some reading this, you might think, "she must be a bad patient/person" but this couldnt be further from the truth. I honestly believe that you should treat people the way you want to be treated, and I do. I smile, I treat people with respect and I could not believe the treatment at Dr. Vives office today. I will not ever recommend this doctor to anyone! So unprofessional!

From entering his office and working with her kind assistant RMA (Dayana), to the cleanliness and order of his treatment room, all the way to the check out process – her office and professionalism is second to none. As for the care she provides I truly appreciated her approach of treating me as a whole, not a collection of potential disparate problems. Since she is a one doctor practice she seems to be able to manage her time in such a way that she gives herself time to think and focus on me as her patient – no hurried review of my file as he scampers from his previous patient in the next room, and therefore no rush out the door to her next patient. That’s really nice, and not like the typical doctor. She truly cares about me as a patient and as an individual. What really impressed me was her offering to make home visits. This place is so unprofessional. I made an appointment for a follow up from when I went to an urgent care and when I got to the office apparently Dr. Vives couldnt see me because she did not know thats what it was for. When I made the appointment I stated exactly what I was going for (a follow up from urgent care) and I also brought my paperwork the other doctor gave me to show my primary care which is Dr.Vives and she did not accept it. It is ridiculous how fist off I had to wait about a week and half for an appointment and then I wasted my time going there because she did not want to see me. And in between the urgent care and Dr.Vives appointment I had to visit the ER because there is never a fast appointment for her office . So I spent more money visiting the ER because she never has anything open. That has been a big con from the beginning that I would always have to wait very long for an appointment. The worst part was her not wanting to see me after I had an appointment. You can say I definitely am getting a new and better primary care physician.

I am not one who usually writes reviews and i really dont believe much of what other people write because i believe people usually exaggerate, but everyone in that office is unprofessional. Called to get my lab results and they could not find my results. Ive been calling for the last 2 weeks and no one answered and when they did they said they would call me back. Until i got really upset so they took my call. Hanged up on me three times while i was put on hold. I will never ever go to this office again. Such a waste of time.

I have been with Dr.Vives for 5yrs now and am extremely happy with her! She is one that tells it like it is ( which is probable why there are negative reviews) and makes sure that you are cared for! She has fought for me when insurance wouldnt. She and her staff are awesome! Thank you for your great service, time and love!

unprofessional, after over 10years here at her office, her staff always rude and unhelpful. got droped via a certified letter with no explanation of why. tired called her office many times and no return phone call back. this off ice and Dr really doesnt seem to care. sad

The staff is extremely unprofessional and violated my mothers HIPAA rights. If you dont mind people walking in and finding out about your medical information from a member of this staff, then go for it. So upset and disappointed with this office!
