I got conjunctivitis for a week until I decided to give a chance to this eye doctor. I walk in without an appointment or medical insurance and everything was fine, very nice environment and good treatment from everybody. The lady at the front desk told me it will be about $109-119 to get the doctor opinion (what without any doubts I knew what I have and just needed a strong treatment, period). So I was waiting for about 30 min someone came and took care of me. Was the doctors assistant. Great so far. After this preliminary check the doctor show and continue the process. Asking me questions and doing her job. The doctor took picture of my eyes and I thought is part of the records or whatever (first time to an eye doctor in USA). Ok I got the prescription what I went for and I mentioned something about the price and got a generic as well just in case if the brand is too expensive. So the whole consultation was for some drops.....ok. Now after I was done with the consultation, time for payment. The doctor left some note to the front desk and then from $109-119 my price jumped to $214. A bit confused, the lady who gave me the estimated price at the beginning discounted about 60 bucks. However why should I pay for some "photography" $95, when the doctor not even was asking me or letting me know about that. Did they offer a CD with the pictures, maybe I want to post them on facebook or to show them to my family with the new fun experience I went thru......really doctor, really?!! Going thru all that, I said, you know what, let see how everything goes. I end up at few pharmacies around the town and being shocked to hear that the simple drops are only $200-300 the brand name and $100 or less the generic. I was stoned. How is that possible for such a lame product to pay as much as 300 bucks. In Europe you pay $10 consultation and $10-15 for the treatment. (It is another reason why USA pharmaceutical market is making crazy money.) In the end with some coupons end up buying the generic less then $100, which I still consider was ok....I took the drops since the day I went to see the doctor and the redness disappear after first drops. Wow, great, worth the money! I continue with that and my eyes were ok, excepting the fact that were extremely dry in the mornings and couldnt open my eyes. I supposed to go after about 5 days to see the doctor again and I pass it, everything looked ok to me and even I would go they would say the same. (To go back to a doctor who game me only drops for my eye infection...skip it) Now, after two weeks since the examination, the eye infection what is not visible went to my ears and still have dry eyes every morning. It is outrageous the fact pay such a huge amount of money for a lame prescription without knowing anything about how to treat the virus. I should have get drops PLUS real antibiotics to fight the virus from inside. Now Im here ready to go to another doctor, hopefully more competent and knowledgeable about this matter. Thank you so much VHI, was such a pleasure to work with you and waste my time and money for another pharmaceutical experiment. Is been always like that, we are just money for them and they will use different treatments until they get us in debts and have to sell our souls to make them a fortune. BRAVO

Ive been wearing glasses and/or contact lenses since the third grade and have had the same eye doctor for 15 years so I walked in skeptical that I would get the same level of satisfaction from a doctor and staff I did not know. I could not have been more wrong. I have never witnessed a more courteous, professional and caring staff anywhere! Not only did they know their stuff, they went above and beyond to explain everything to me. Ive been wearing contact lenses for decades and have never seen what my eye looks like. Dr. Mark Perry showed me and took quite a while explaining my personal vision and how things impact it. The staff seemed to anticipate my needs and questions before I even asked and provided the answer without my having asked the question. They really understand not only eye care, but the patient who is seeking eye care. I learned more in my short visit to Perry Eye Care than in all of my previous annual eye exams put together. I am amazed. If you would like an eye care experience they way it should be done, I very highly recommend Perry Eye Care. I did not get glasses on this visit, only because I was being fitted for contact lenses. But while I waited a few moments to be taken back to see the doctor, I observed one of the opticians helping a customer being fitted with glasses. He was professional, courteous and exhibited a huge amount of patience in dealing with an elderly patient. I simply could not believe what I was seeing. Every staff member I met and dealt with during my visit provided the care and customer service we have all come to believe no longer exists in todays world. Even if the eye exam had been mediocre, I would have continued to come to PEC because of the service I received. The incredible eye exam was icing on the cake. Want the most memorable eye care experience of your life? Perry Eye Care. Hands down.

Great people, great service, but the office itself makes me a tad uncomfortable. Dont get me wrong, its clean, in an easily accessible area with good parking and not in a bad neighborhood. But my issue is that its a bit too nice, like not very comfortable. Chairs arent comfy, the waiting area looks kind of like a bar/lounge, and its so bright in there that if you were dilated for your exam, make sure you have your shades on before you leave the room. However, those are the minor complaints I have, everything else is wonderful. All of the staff members are extremely nice and professional. They made sure that I wasnt paying more than I should by keeping me informed of what my insurance did and did not cover, going as far as to alert me that my appointment was ahead of my yearly schedule and allowing me to reschedule so Id only be charged my copay. Since its a new facility, everythings all high tech and new. Thank god they got rid of that awful air puff glaucoma test and replaced it with a more pleasant, less invasive test. Dr. Mark Perry is super nice and has a good sense of humor. He was the first optometrist to ever explain to me about my risk of retinal detachment and inform me of what to look for and what to do. He also doesnt try to pressure me into other vision correction options every time I see him like some of my other doctors have. Only other thing to note is that their selection of frames tends to lean toward the expensive, high-end brands. Gucci, Ralph Lauren...did you know they made frames? cause I didnt. I just want plain, no-frills, sturdy frames that wont break the bank, and those were hard to find on their multiple walls of frames. But they do have a good selection of styles, just not a big range of prices.

I had an issue with the prescription that they resolved but otherwise very good service. Very helpful. Make sure your prescription is not over corrected - They will tell you that it is because you are "not used to it" but it could be an actual error on their part which they did on my long distance lens and my computer lens. They almost made me pay for it because they have a 30 day limit on replacement because of prescription issues, something no one told me at beginning. I was only told that there was a years warranty on the entire lens. I did not get the AR when they fixed the prescription so I lost that but personally the computer AR which dulls blue light from computer was putting me to sleep by doing so and I had to stay awake for my computer evening job so I was not upset to lose this. CR-39 is fine unless you have rimless glasses. I like the decor of office a lot - Very artistic but the Glade air freshner contains pthalates and in spite of two suggestions to them to replace with less toxic essential oils, they told me they only cut it down not eliminated it entirely. My glasses case had that scent when I went home - It permeates the air. Please give them feedback that this is not healthy for people waiting around in there and especially the elderly. They were extremely helpful in finding a pair of frames that fit me because I have a small face so I was quite happy about that!
