This is one of two reviews written on the same day about two different Aspen Dental locations located about an hours drive apart. The other Aspen Dental review written by me will be posted at the same time and really should both be read by anyone seeking treatment in the Pensacola/Foley area. I live in Pensacola, FL and this Aspen Dental is located less than 10 minutes from my home. When I contacted Aspens appointment number I requested an appointment at the Pensacola Office. Because I was a new patient I was told the first appointment available was December 9th 2015, a 3 month wait! They did say theyd place me on a cancellation list and if a quicker appointment opened up, theyd notify me. Okay, Ill admit Im not a fan of the dental chair and this gave me a reason to not see a dentist, and hopefully pacify my wife who was tiring of seeing and hearing me in pain. In the meantime, about 2 weeks after this initial call was made, I had 2 teeth break off at the gumline. I suddenly needed to see a dentist much sooner as I knew the pain would be intensifying quickly. I contacted their central reservation number and there was still no hope of getting into the Pensacola office any quicker. They were extremely cordial and nice at the appointment center all 3 times called them. So, I hit the internet looking for options and even got online with my dental insurance plan and luckily not only found the Foley Office existed but also that they were a preferred provider with my dental insurance company and oddly enough, in Florida they are not! Taking a shot in the dark I called the central reservation number and found they could see me the next day in Foley! I rate Aspen in Pensacola 2 stars for this reason .... a 3 month wait to see a dentist is simply unreasonable. Please, please, please see my review of the Aspen location in Foley Alabama. If you need care, youll be glad you read it.

My 6year old son was given an appt date about 2 months in advance. At the time, the appt scheduler over the phone said the youngest they see is 6, so they would be ok with it. We show up and they say Im there at the wrong date and they had us down for a different date. They also give me the third degree about his age, and say they may not be able to see him at age 6. Mind you, this dentist is on the very limited list of our providers through our crappy insurance plan, but thats another story. But I have to do a 45 minute drive to get there. So I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and suck it up, returning the following week. I even called the day before to be absolutely sure he was in the books for that day. We show up a few minutes early and sign in. Nobody really greets us or says well get you started soon. 10 minutes later Im told they have to reschedule him AGAIN because they couldnt fit it in, indicating I was somehow late. I said weve been sitting here waiting and we WILL be seen. I just had to put my foot down. So he FINALLY got his cleaning although I had to fill out new patient paperwork a second time. BUT they wouldnt fill his cavity. And didnt really give an explanation I could gather as to why they dont. NEVER have I had such a trying experience anywhere. I normally dont give ranting reviews like this but I felt it was necessary. On a more positive note, their dental hygienist was very nice and helpful.

I walked in to this site in December to inquiry if the accepted Cigna Dental care insurance. Oh yes, please come in. I had used Aspen before -- so I thought I would go back to them -- name having dental insurance again. I went to the back, the women pulled up my information, scanned my new insurance card and made me appointment for January 20th. Before I can have any dental work I have to take antibiotics -- I had double knee replacement two years ago. I contacted my doctor -- got the Rx and took four large pills before my appointment with Aspen. I had arrange a half-day off for this appointment. When I arrived I re-filled out the paperwork that I had done in December, they rescanned my card... Thirty-minutes later I was told they did accept Cigna -- but they had "reached their limit" so I would have to pay for that days visit and follow-up visits. You have to be kidding me -- what kind of crap is that? I left and now will have to find another dentist that doesnt waste my time with a "reached limit"...

If I could give negative stars, I would. Yesterday, I was in a horrible amount of pain. I called and got an appointment from a cancellation at 3 pm. They did not call me back until 4 pm for x-rays. At 4:30, the dentist was finally able to see me but not really. I waited in the back office for a half hour. I was in so much pain that I was visibly tearing up and Dr. Tuladhar saw that but went on to the adjacent office to say hello to another patient. So they just left me sitting there! While waiting, at least five people poked their heads in without saying a word. Did they forget there was somebody in the room? After more than two hours of waiting, the doctor told me that he could do nothing for me because I was in too much pain!! What! This is the WORST dentist/doctor visit of my life. I was already uneasy about going. Thanks Aspen for confirming my fears that dentists do not care about me or my health.

Was referred out to an endodontist by my primary dentist for a root canal. I called Aspen dental and was connected to a scheduling Center which scheduled me for an appointment at this Pensacola office ( which was about 40 minutes from my house in Navarre). After driving all the way to Pensacola the front desk informed me that I had been scheduled for a routine dental exam, and that they did not even have an endodontist on staff. The front desk clerk took no responsibility for this mistake, and was actually quite rude about the situation. In addition to the unfortunate communication error on part of Aspen dental, I found this office to be one of the most filthy, unsanitary dental offices Ive ever experienced. I would Pay cash before I would go back to this dental office… Or any Aspen dental office for that matter.

This place only wants your money. They see you have insurance and "find" other things wrong so they can charge. My coworker went in to have a crown replaced and was told there was infection so additional treatments would be needed so he had to make another appointment. He went back and they put the crown on. When he asked about the infection he was told he didnt have one. Nothing was prescribed but each visit was charged. Ive gone there and told them about clenching my teeth. They wanted to make a mouth guard. I asked what kind it was and it sounded like my retainer. Instead of waiting to see my retainer they wanted me to pay over $300 to get a new one made. I left and never returned.
