I chose this place based off of the perfect reviews they received from their patients; I think these are based off of their long term patient for I did not receive the same treatment. Firstly, I felt rushed throughout the entire process, I was in the building for over an hour but only spent 8 minutes with the doctor. They also dialated my eyes before the eye exam which I thought was weird (my previous doctor used to do it after my exam) I didnt question them because I felt they should know what is best for me. I ended up researching this and found that your eyes should not be dialed before an exam. This lead to my prescription being drastically incorrect. I came in for a readjustment and the doctor said that the reason for the incorrect proscription was due to a miscommunication between me and the doctor. Which makes no sense to me. My second exam was repeated exactly the same except my eyes were not dialated and the prescription was much closer to being correct. It still is off but I would rather waste my money than have to go back there again. The worst part is, this could all have been avoided if the doctor did what she told me she was going to do on day one which was to request my previous prescription from my old eye doctor to make adjustments based off of that. Which she never did. I even called back later the same day to see if they did it and the person on the phone said they havent received it yet but she will let me know when they do before they send off my first prescription.. which of course they never did. I work in customer service and it has made me appreciate customer service even more and also made me critical when I dont receive good treatment. I feel that the doctor should spend more time with her patients to avoid these "miscommunications" from happening again.

Very professional, well-run outfit. I have already recommended them to a friend. We both went on insurance last year and our first experience was with Total Vision Eye Health Assoc. on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach. Very bad choice. My friend had to go in on three separate occasions and still did not end up with the right prescription. The woman who fits the new glasses argued with him and told him they were the correct prescription and that hed have to get used to them. He threw them on the table, said he didnt want them and left. They called him back and back again. He ended up throwing them away and will never go back there. I had a similar experience and got glasses for reading which gave me a major headache and I also threw mine away. The NSB store is a meat market with only money in mind. Dont bother, especially if youre a senior on Medicare, etc. Now, after going to the Port Orange store, I have a very comfortable pair and they had them ready for me in one day, even though they said it could take a week to ten days. Though, most importantly, they are the correct script. They will have our business and all our friends business from here on out.

My wife and I are very pleased with the exceptional service that Dr. Kirsten Wilgers provided for us. I recently had a major surgery and thought I was having a serious medical issue with my eyes so I called the office on Saturday and I left my number with the answering service. A couple minutes later Dr. Kirsten Wilgers contacted me and I informed her what the problem was. Dr. Wilgers asked me a few questions; then she assured me I didnt have a serious problem; I was thankful because of the way she handled the situation. Dr. Wilgers is a very competent, gentle lady who loves what she does. My wife and I would highly recommend anyone who needs a professional optician to go visit Dr. Wilgers and the great staff at Total Vision in Port Orange Florida. On short notice, I needed to find an optician. Being an out-of-state visitor, I used Google and found the Port Orange office of Total Vision Eye Health Associates. I selected this office due solely to the posted reviews. Its a GREAT facility and exceeded the excellent reviews I found, which is why I am happy to contribute this tribute (the first I have ever written). Dr. Kirsten Wilgers is outstanding ... competent, unhurried, exceptionally friendly, and found/fixed my issue right away. If there were a sixth star, I would have awarded it!

We are new to the area so a family member recommended Dr Wilgers. We are so pleased with our entire experience. The office location, the staff, and Dr Wilgers, all were excellent. Our best event was that Dr Wilgers takes the time to explain to you the entire experience of your exam, what each thing means to us in our terms. Kind of old school but our kind of doctor!! Love it and will have no problem recommending her to others!!

The reviews are accurate, professional staff and doctor. Only went in for contacts and an updated prescription so I cant comment on other services. The doctor is very nice and friendly, unrushed. Received my contacts by mail in just a few days. Only thing Id be aware of is the increased cost of this office versus others. You may benefit from shopping around if youre trying to save a few bucks on just a pair of glasses.

I went to this office based on all the positive reviews I had found online, and saw Dr. Wilgers. I would highly recommend this office for an eye exam and glasses. The exam was very thorough, and the girls in the front went out of their way to figure the pricing for the different options through my insurance, and which ones I really had to get for my needs. They also have a good selection of frames.

My whole experience was so professional and comforting. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wilgers to anyone looking for eye care. Even when my husband had a serious eye infection, Dr. Wilgers saw him within the hour and solved the problem with her expertise and some medication. After having a problem and my eye doctor couldnt see me I called Total Vision in Port Orange and they got me in within 10 minutes, I had to go back due to another problem and the same thing, got in right away. Last week I had full exam and set up for new glasses. Dr. Wilgers and the entire staff was so helpful and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Wilgers office and her wonderful staff.
