I have dental anxiety, so when my dentist told me that I had four impacted wisdom teeth, one of which was infected, and I needed to have them removed right away...I panicked. I went online trying to find an oral surgeon with great recommendations, and I mostly found a lot of facilities with very poor reviews. I almost gave up, and then I saw the reviews for Dr. Dewild...and they were great! I called for a consultation and they fit me in right away! The staff were all very helpful and kind, they made sure I knew exactly what my insurance covered before I left my consult, and they helped calm my fears over the procedure. Dr. Dewild spent nearly twenty minutes going over every question I had, and he never once made me feel rushed. That doesnt happen with any doctor Ive ever visited, and it meant the world to me. I had my surgery this morning, and the doctor and staff were just as great as they were during my consult. He extracted all four of my wisdom teeth, and made sure I had all my questions answered before leaving. They even give you his personal cell phone number in case you need help after hours. No doctor does that! I felt calm and reassured the entire time, and I cant say enough good things about Dr. Dewild and his team. They are competent, and they CARE! I highly recommend them.

Just got my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday at Florida Oral Surgery. When I went in for my consultation the day before my extraction, the nurses were incredibly helpful in giving me the instructions on pre- and post- surgery. They answered all my questions with great detail and did not leave me wondering. I was especially impressed about how well the nurses and Dr. DeWild helped me feel better about going into the surgery, especially since I was incredibly frightened. On the day of the surgery, I took the antibiotics and Xanax as instructed (I was prescribed the Xanax to calm me down before the surgery, which they specifically prescribed after I told them how nervous I was about needles). When I got there, they gave me laughing gas and hooked me up to the IV. When I woke up, the surgery was finished and I was ready to go. Coming from somebody whose greatest fear is of going to the dentist, I was very impressed on how well Dr. DeWild and his team took care of me. They made sure I had the materials to help me heal and scheduled me in for a check up in a week. Overall, I would very much recommend going to Florida Oral Surgery for wisdom teeth extraction. It was professionally and amazingly pulled off! I cannot thank them enough for helping me through this process.

Dr. DeWild and the entire staff at Florida Oral Surgery are beyond a blessing! I had my wisdom teeth (all four) taking out TODAY, this morning to be exact. I was super anxious as ive never been sedated before. Wasnt quite sure what to expect going into this. Dr. DeWild was helpful, patient with all my questions asked Dr. D and his staff were impeccable, Hands down. Theyre professional, personable, knowledgable, caring, reassuring and genuine - seriously the list can go on. Appointment setting was easy. I had my consultation on a Monday and extractions appointment was set up for the following week. In addition, the office offers a few options for appointment reminders via text, email or by phone which was very convenient. Office atmosphere was warm, inviting and soothing. Extremely clean waiting area, public restroom and working stations. Overall, I was recommended to have Dr. DeWild perform my extractions Im super satisfied with my experience. Lastly, without hesitation I will HIGHLY recommend Dr. DeWild along with his staff again and again! Two thumbs up!

I was very disappointed in the services that were rendered at Florida Oral Surgery, Inc. Upon my arrival (2:00 pm), as requested, I completed the new patient paperwork. After that, I sat in the waiting area for at least 40 minutes before being called back to the examination area. When placed in a room, the dental assistant asked all of the standard questions, and I sat there waiting for the doctor to come for another 45 minutes! The doctor came in, finally, took a quick peak into my mouth and explained the procedure. However, after that I was moved to another office to just to meet with the financial consultant, just to find out that I had exhausted my dental benefits for 2016. I was told that it would be less expensive for me if I were to get the work done in 2017. If they were running behind schedule, the least they could have done was to meet with me about the finances while I waited in the exam room to see the doctor. I left the offices at 3:54 pm. No work had been done. I will not return.

I would highly recommend Florida Oral Surgery. I felt comfortable and in good hands every time I made a trip to the office. I had a full mouth extraction. I honestly couldnt believe how little discomfort I actually had. I know we all heal differently but the skill of the surgeon also matters. Dr. Dewilds demeanor was above the rest; calm, knowledgeable, and kind. Dr. placed his hand on my arm and said a prayer before administering the IV sedation. I particularly needed it in that moment and appreciated it very much. My husband joked that we really liked them and it actually kind of stinks that we werent going to see them anymore after this. I received multiple calls after the surgery checking on me and making sure I didnt have any questions or concerns. On top of everything else, I was given a fantastic quote to remove all of my teeth in comparison to anyone else. I didnt even have to use my insurance on their portion of the dental work. You get the idea. :)

pros - very clean facility cons - i have full coverage insurance that pays for 100% of my extractions and they told me i still have to pay them because they charge 10% of the procedure upfront just to insure that they get paid, which is there company policy. they waited till after my xrays just to tell me this. they said that they will refund it after a few weeks. that is ridiculous to me. like it isnt possible for me to have such a good insurance that they have to wait to make sure its legitimate. i was very disappointed since i have seen such great reviews from this dentist. and the front desk lady failed to inform me that they couldnt use my previous xrays because they were past a certain time frame, so i would have to pay that too which they winded up waiving because i was about to leave. very dissatisfied. they should have told me this prior to setting up an appointment for tooth extraction. was a waste of my time and theirs.

I was having severe pain from an impacted wisdom tooth that grew into an infection & went to see a dentist who recommended me to an oral surgeon in the area but that surgeon couldnt even see me for a consultation for weeks. My fiancee stumbled upon Dr DeWild & his team online and it was the best outcome possible. They saw me the next day for a consult & the following day was my surgery (Thank God). He did an excellent job. I was very nervous but the staff made me feel comfortable. He even said a prayer for me before surgery. He explained absolutely everything & really put me at ease. It was even affordable! They had a special going on just by chance! He is a great Doctor! And the staff is super friendly! Theyre fast & efficient & caring all at the same time. Wish I could find more doctors & staff like them in other settings.
