My 3 year old Paso Fino, Destino Encantado, was diagnosed with proximal enteritis by Amber Bowen, DVM, MS of Performance Equine. She had me bring him to Performance Equines Facility because after tubing and examination he was not improving. Dr. Amber is so kind, caring, knowledgable, and her expertise with my young horse was outstanding. I was so impressed with her in all ways. Destino was refluxing liters of reflux every few hours, was dehydrated, had the infection in his small intestine, was very uncomfortable and had a 50% chance of survival. Dr. Amber cared for him and kept me informed when I was at the facility and also when I was at home, she has my highest regard. I also have to thank Alberto J Rullan, VMD as they all work as a team at Performance Equine also Dr. Alberto had to put up with my crazyness over my horses illness - Thanks Alberto. Jose Carlos was here from Honduras and working at the Facility, he spent hours with Destino and caring for him especially in the overnights, as did Guilleramo who is still there (and saves turtles from uncaring drivers), they both were there for me and my horse as were all the people there...You couldnt ask for nicer, more caring group of people anywhere. My horses life was saved and I will never forget the fantastic job that everyone at Performance Equine did. THANK YOU ALL...YOU HELD MY HORSES LIFE IN YOUR HANDS AND MY HEART...AND WE BOTH SURVIVED. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY HIGH ENOUGH 10 STARS!! (this is posted under Ani Bella....but most of you know me by Ann Ward)

I dont think anything I can say will come close to describing how amazing Performance Equine is. My horse came down with EPM and thanks for Dr. Ellis knowledge and pro-active treatment, he is on the way to recovery. She goes above and beyond to diagnose and treat. You can really tell she is passionate about what she does. She and the staff are so positive, compassionate, and supportive, are always available to answer all of my questions and treat me like family.

I highly recommend this folks to anyone, they are caring and always there for you. I had 2 emergencies with my horses this weekend they were fabulous with them both. They were there every step of the way. They are caring and had may follow ups with them. The Vet stayed with us ALL NIGHT, when she saw that we were exhausted she walked my horse for me so I could have a break. Thnak you all so much for your help with Hottie and Marcus.
