I no longer use the services at Royal Oaks Vet Hospital as they provided me with false information with regards to the promotional offer when I opened up my Care Credit account to pay for my dogs surgery. I was initially informed by Diana, who works at the front desk of Royal Oaks, that my promotional offer would be 0% interest if the loan was paid in full within 60 months. It turned out that the promotional offer was only good for 6 months, which meant that I had to pay a much higher amount each month to avoid interest, which was not in my budget to do so at the time and why I decided to use the 60-month interest free promotional offer with Care Credit in the first place. The difference in the promotional offer period was only disclosed to me when I received my first statement from Care Credit. As a result, I contacted Care Credit asking them to honor to 60-month interest free promotion which was told to me by Diana and which I duly noted on the receipt Diana gave me to sign. However, Care Credit refused to help me because they said the promotional offers are assigned by the vet hospital and not by Care Credit themselves, which meant that I had to deal directly with Dr. Dwyer to rectify this matter. In my conversation with Dr. Dwyer, she refused to honor the 60-month interest free promotional offer which was told to me by Diana, one of her staff members. Dr. Dwyer insisted that the issue was Care Credits matter to resolve when Care Credit advised me numerous times that it was not and only the vet hospital can assign such offers. Dr. Dwyer then turned it around and acted like she was the victim in this case because of the money she has to provide to Care Credit for offering their financial services at her vet hospital as she has to pay Care Credit a flat amount for each account that is opened by one of her customers, as well as a certain amount for each promotion that is offered. Frankly, Dr. Dwyers fiduciary responsibility to Care Credit for the financial services they provide to her clients has no relevance in the matter as that is the cost of her doing business which she must be responsible for absorbing. Dr. Dwyer failed to recognize that it was me, the customer, who was ultimately stuck with the bill and now needed to find a means to pay well over $3,000.00 in medical costs for my dog in 6 months or less to avoid having to pay astronomically high interest rates. I was very disappointed with the way Dr. Dwyer failed to take responsibility for a mistake which was made by one of her staff members and then she acted like the victim in the situation complaining about how much money she had to give out to Care Credit. She had complete apathy towards me as one of her customers as she was not willing to work on a compromise to ameliorate the situation by helping me to find another payment plan which would be reasonably feasible for me. To add insult to injury, I received a condescending letter from the office manager, Yahaira, which basically stated that they were absolved of any responsibility for what had happened despite the fact they it was one of Dr. Dwyers staff members, Diana, who misinformed me of the length of time the promotion would be valid. Overall, the lack of concern to work with me on another payment plan whereby I could pay Dr. Dwyer directly, or something else which was more reasonable than having to pay the full balance within 6 months and not taking responsibility for misinformation which was given to me by one of her staff members showed how little Dr. Dwyer cares about her customers. It just seemed like Dr. Dwyer cared more about the money than trying to do the right thing for a mistake which her staff member created in the first place. Needless to say, I lost all trust and faith in them to care for my pets.

I went for a $60 visit to see what was going on with my dogs mouth. They told me in order to know what was going they needed x-rays and blood work. I walked out with a $450 bill just to tell me my dog needs teeth taken out something that they could have told me before squeezing $450 out of my pocket. They then stated he needed surgery to remove a few teeth and it would be around $800. I told them I did not have the money and they told me to sign up for care credit who advertises 0% interest for anything over $200 up to 6-8-12months. I got approved and did the surgery. They ended up removing all his top teeth without telling me and told me the bill will be $1,200. Im extremely upset but its already done. I told them I would like 12 months payment at the 0% and they said no, that they only offer 6 month at 0% regardless of the bill amount. Again I was pissed. They told me that care credit themselves can provide 12 months at 0%. I called care credit who stated they only offer those options but the actual Vet office would have to enter it in. I called back the Vet office who refused to work with me and stated that is all they offer. So in conclusion, this place just wants your money. They never bothered telling us they only offer 6 months at 0%. They ommited alot of valuable information from the start, that had I known I would have put my old dog to sleep rather him having no teeth. Plus I would not be in debt right now struggling to pay $1,200 that I do not have.

Poor Experience, Spent almost 3 years taking our dog to Royal Oaks Veterinary Clinic until finally, we had enough. Dr Dwyer and her staff placed our dog on a medication to control seizures, with the promise that it would be a relatively straight forward process: "once our dog was established on the medication, prescription refills and follow-up blood work would only be required every 6 months to one year." In reality, prescriptions lasted no more than 2 months with every refill requiring another $181 blood work check at the facility. Shortly after placing our dog on the medication, the office decided they would no longer call or fax prescriptions to a pharmacy as they had problems with pharmacies filling prescriptions accurately. As if somehow, my hand delivering to any pharmacy would resolve that. So their straight forward process turned into: every 2 months, a trip for blood work, and a separate trip to pick up the prescription. All of which, costing triple what they originally advised. After one final visit with a staff member for a yearly check up, and to examine a mysterious growth on our dogs tail, we gave up. The nurse seemed uninterested and advised merely to "keep an eye on it" - a growth that was obviously bothering our dog. Gathering medical records to change Vets was no easy task either. Overall, I do not recommend bringing your pet here. Misinformation from the medical staff and an inefficient office make for a poor experience.

Royal Oaks Veterinary Clinic is the place to go for the highest quality of care for your pets. Dr. Dwyer and her team always give my cats the care and kindness they would give their own pets. My 14 year old cat, Belle, was on her deathbed, but Dr. Dwyer worked a miracle and has given Belle a second chance on life. Most would have assumed it was just Belles time to go to heaven, but Dr. Dwyer never gave up on her. Thanks to Dr. Dwyers gifted skills, determination, and intuition, years have been turned back on Belles life. Dr. Dwyer and her team went above and beyond the call of duty, and because of that my Belle is laying here purring as I write this. Words cannot express the appreciation I have for everything theyve done and for the care they provide for my cats. The staff understands our pets are much more than just animals, they are our family members, and they treat them accordingly. The office is immaculate and has a warm feeling. The entire staff are professional, friendly, and caring. It shows that they are animal lovers at heart, and that is reflected in the way their patients are treated. Take your pet to Royal Oaks with confidence that you are giving them the best care possible!
