We took our boxer here and it was by far the WORST vet weve ever been too. First of all they do not allow you to hold your pet while they administer their yearly shots. We have an 80 lb. Boxer. When we went into the room to get his shots, 2 vet assistants joined us to take his blood. They wouldnt let us hold him and he was very scared, so what they did was put him into a corner, one girl strattled his back and had him in a "head lock" , while the other tried to take his blood. Well as soon as the needle went into his arm he freaked out trying to get away and since the lady had him in a head lock he could not move and eventually snapped at her trying to bite her (he is still an animal). Well they didnt get the blood so they decided to do the same thing over, only this time with a muzzle. After they got the muzzle on him I sat next to him to try and calm him so they could take his blood. They took his blood and then the doctor came in to give him the shots. They put the muzzle back on him and I would not let the women hold him and I held him while the doctor administered the shots. After the doctor gave the shots to him, he then told us that our dog needs to be sedated daily because he is too aggressive. He then prescribed "Ace" to our dog. After comming home and doing some research on the drug, I found that there was a veterinary warning that was issued in 1997 that states you CAN NOT give a Boxer the drug Ace because of heart problems. Well this doctor obviously didnt know about a warning issued over 10 years ago! On top of all that, it costed $400 for just his yearly shots, flea, and heart worm! Please do not make your pet suffer at this vet and take him else where. Thank you and beware!

I started taking my dog to Tails in 2013 and my husband and I loved taking her here because of the friendly staff and the Dr. was excellent with our Delilah. Unfortunately the vet passed away and we were so sorry to hear of this. We made an appointment for Delilah after his passing which was when we then realized the new owner has become money hungry. They state that they require vaccines every 6 months which in fact are required every year. About two months ago I dropped my dog off for a bath and to get blood work and stated I would pick her up after I got out of work which is what I would normally do when dropping her off. When I arrived to pick her up the man behind the desk stated that they were just starting her blood work after I got there. I couldnt understand what they were doing from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with my dog. A few weeks ago I wanted to drop her off again for a bath and they refused to make an appointment for her because she was supposedly not up to date on her Bordetella which in fact is due every year not every 6 months. I also noticed that after the vet passed away the staff became rude in person and on the phone. If you are unhappy with your job and its environment then you should step aside and give it to someone who will be more then grateful to do the work and make the money. This is a business to take care of pets the right way and not just worrying about what you are going to charge for the services. We recently switched vets and have brought our Delilah to Indian Creek on Summerlin and they are much more proficient, and friendly.

HATE GIVING 1 STAR!! EVEN GIVE THEM 1 STAR!! I WILL NOT USE THEM FOR BOARDING EVER AGAIN!! I DID ON NEW YRS EVE AND THEY CAME UP WITH BS LIES ON HOW MY DOG NEEDED LOTS OF SHOTS TO BE BOARDED BUT SHE HAD JUST BEEN BOARDED SHORTLY BEFORE AND NEW SHE DID NOT NEED ANY TILL END OF JAN!! THEY WOULD NOT TAKE HER IF I DID NOT AND WHAT DO YOU DO AT LAST MINUTE ON NEW YRS EVE??? THEY ALSO WERE CLOSED THE NEXT DAY SO I COULD NOT PICK HER UP AND WANTED DOGS THERE BY NOON ON NEW YRS EVE....SO I WAS CHARGED FOR 3 DAYS, CAUSE THEY DECIDED TO BE CLOSED...NOT MY FAULT, BUT WAS CHARGED FOR 3 DAYS..NOT 1!! Dr. Mogavero is fantastic! One of our dogs has a skin condition that had been diagnosed when she was a puppy and we were living in Miami. Unfortunately, no other vet was able to spot on fix her problem (after leaving her original doctor in Miami and moving here) For several years while in Ft. Myers, her skin flareups became worse, and doctor after doctor here could not seem to help. Finally we found Dr. Mogavero. He took one look at her and knew instantly what was wrong. He gave her a cortisone shot and prescribed her to high grade (expensive but worth it) Fish Oil. The dog was in immediate relief, and her skin condition is cured. BTW, he also diagnosed her as allergic to flea medications, which even original vet did not find. We have more than pleased with this worthy doctor of animal medicine. His clinic is state of the art, and many animal issues that other doctors are not set up to help with, can all be done at Tails A Waggin. Cancers are just one I know he works with. I highly recommend this Animal hospital.

Recently boarded our 11 year old shepard mix there for 5 days during the Christmas holiday while we traveled. He also received a full grooming, which we thought looked great. Upon picking our dog up, we noticed that he had eaten very little of the food we provided for him, which was unusual. This behavior continued when we got home, even with treats and rewards. Upon further inspection of his coat, we found traces of flea activity - of which he contracted at some point during being boarded. In occurances before when he got fleas, he ate very little and became very sluggish, so the behaviors matched. What makes me even more concerned is if he contracted the fleas while being boarded, did the groomer notice them? Or did he contract the fleas while being groomed? Questions to consider when deciding to board your dog here. And we paid for one of the more expensive kennels too.

After reading the reviews I will start by saying this, I have been going to Dr. Mogavero for 15 years now and til this day I cannot express the gratitude I have for this doctor and his staff. Yes the prices may be considered "pricey" for some but I need to be honest.. you pay for what you get! I will gladly pay more money for my dogs and cats to get the best care. From day one they have treated my pets as their number one priority (as they should) which is one of the primary reasons I continue going to this clinic. All of my questions are answered and my animals are always healthy! They truly do seem to care about my babies! If youre looking for quality care for your beloved pets definitely go to Tails-A-Waggin, take it from me, the biggest animal lover around.
