I visited this office to request medication for a suspected illness. The front desk staff demonstrated poor customer service skills by avoiding eye contact and using passive language that leaves this consumer feeling dejected. I waited approx 1.5 hrs in a back clinic room to see a MD, during which time I politely requested directions to the restroom from an employee. Without looking at me, she gave me directions in an annoyed tone. The MD was finally able to speak with me and was not able to offer the treatment I requested, I believe secondary to desire to increase the cost of my visit (I am self pay), I politely declined the intervention to recommended in place of what I desired and left the room behind him. While in the hall awaiting direction to stay or leave, I clearly overheard the MD discussing my case with his nurse. This is obviously a HIPAA privacy rule violation as there were other staff members who were not involved in my care and patients in the area. This is illegal. I was very disappointed with the service I received from the moment I walked in the door, little did I know that later in my clinic visit my privacy would be violated by a licensed doctor who is aware of the serious consequences of his actions. I would recommend that any person wishing to visit this office to do absolutely everything humanly possible to avoid this practice.

This is THE WORST medical facility ever!!! I went for my appointment and noticed, no kidding, at least 50 people in the waiting room. The place smelled like feces- literally. It also looked very unclean. It was super hot in the waiting room too. An older gentleman in front of me asked how long his wait was. The receptionist said, "About two hours since you have an appointment- we will get to you before the walk-ins." I was shocked! Then, they look at my insurance card and tell me they dont accept my insurance. I thought, "good riddance." I would never have stayed anyway. I contacted my insurance company to let them know the PCP they picked out for me was in fact not covered by their plan. My insurance company told me that the practitioner in fact does have a contract with them to accept this insurance. So, not only is this place filthy, poorly managed, and completely over-capacity, they also dont honor their contracts with insurance providers. I went to another doctor-in the same town-expecting a crowded waiting room because I assumed this was a problem with all providers being overwhelmed at the moment. I went to the new doctor and was seen within 15 minutes. The facility was very clean and no problems with my insurance. So, it is not the new healthcare laws or the town- it is Royal Oaks Medical Center- fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the doctors are fantastic and will listen to you (unlike a lot doctors at Urgent Care clinics) but the wait is BRUTAL. Anywhere from 2-4 hour waits are normal. It will take up your entire day. Unlike their call message says, same day appointments are pretty much never available at the Titusville office, you can try Port St. Johns office for better results, the waits are longer too. I would avoid seeing Doctor Torres, as he is a self-righteous ass (if you ever meet him, youll understand); the rest of the doctors are fantastic :). They try to do the best they can, the Registered Nurses are fantastic. If you need something beyond what you make an appointment for or you need something else done while you are there, theyll do their best to try and accommodate you. Its great. Like I said, Ive been going here for at least fifteen years and its gotten to be so busy over that time period. The only other bad thing I could say would be the front desk staff, there isnt much communication between people in the back and the staff up front. Some of the receptionists are outright rude, they dont acknowledge you when you walk in, nor do they inform you of anything that you ask them about. Like wait time or whatever. Ive experienced this with both offices.

First the good: The doctors and nurses all seem to be professional. You dont know who you get but they are usually pretty good. They usually get me in close to my appointment time with little wait. After that it goes down hill. Here is the list. 1. Twice I have seen cockroaches on the floor. (Titusville office) 2. The place is cluttered in the back and seems unsanitary. 3. The girls at the front desk have little or no customer service skills and they treat every customer like they are an inconvenience to their daily routine. 4. The check out person is VERY slow. It usually takes longer to check out then it does to see somebody in the back and there are only 3 chairs. 5. The test result person is HORRIBLE. It has been 2 weeks since my last test. When I called I had to leave a message. No return call, I called again and was able to talk to her, she said she would have to research my results and she would call me back. Three more phone calls from me and 6 days later and I still do not have results. After some persistence on my part this was all solved but very un happy with everything. Follow up: I decided to try them again. They got me in at my appointment time and saw the Dr, X-rays and I was out with in an hour.

Im a 15 yr patient of Royal Oaks and have always put up with wait times because the medical side is great. Today I was treated so rudely and unprofessionally, I can not even put into words the complete lack of respect they showed me... I have never been treated like this in a medical atmosphere in my life. That office crew made me wait 3 hours in the waiting room because I asked to be shown in detail, outstanding co-pays in the amount of $40 that they wanted to collect before I could see the Dr. It took an hour for a billing lady, Jill, to come out and show me print outs and tell me that I only owe $20 for some lab work that my insurance didnt pay for. After that I told her all I need is an Xray and that I had to leave by 4:15 to pick up my son from school. At 4:15, almost 2 hours later I left with out seeing anyone. The office at Royal Oaks Medical Center is incompetent, unprofessional and obviously unsupervised because when I asked to talk to the office manager they told me she was not there and when I asked for her name the woman would not give it to me. Well I found out by calling the Pt.St.John office, Lou Ann Reagan. I will be contacting her ASAP. Never again.

I was there in January, I am a "self pay".....the place is run like a Zoo...they were trying to strap down 2 children who were getting flu shots, the children literally were kicking and screaming begging for the nurse to stop...and instead the nurse said to the mom "I can do it but it will leave a big bump" and followed through with the flu shot torture....SCARY....you wait over an hour for your scheduled apointment and then asked me to go back into the waiting room and forget about me for an additional 30 minutes..You have to give your credit card to the front desk person and leave it there the whole time assuming everyone back there is Honest Abe....awesome...as you are paying/exiting you have to sit in this hallway in front of all the other exam rooms where all the germs sponge to you around that area and there is no way to get away..absolutely gross. The reason for my review to top it all off.......I just received an invoice THIS WEEK 4/25/2014 for over $500.00 for my treatment of Epilespy. 1) I dont have Epilespy 2.) I went in for an exam that wouldnt even come close to finding that out if I did.
