It was with trepidation that we brought our mom to the Consulate that day, having nearly lost her at the hands of another area not to be named health care facility. She had suffered dearly under their "tender care" almost dying of c-diff before anyone would bother to contact her doctor and have her rushed back to the hospital. I had already traveled from Cleveland twice since January for what I believed would be a funeral. Now here it was May, and I came down yet again for what I feared would be a final good-bye. Mom had suffered a stroke at home this time, and was back at the hospital unable to speak, swallow, eat, or move. Once stabilized, her doctor felt she could return to that "unnamed" facility for rehab. A strange word for what they do there. . . . We were having none of it, and insisted they find another place for her. Beds being at a premium in the area, we were told that other than the place we refused to go, The Consulate was our only other choice. Mom had only 26 days left of Medicare, the other 74 days were wasted at the "big fancy rehab" where she nearly died. I am here to say that in 26 days, The Consulate took her from deaths door, to speaking, sitting, standing, walking, eating, and living again! It was a miraculous transformation that brought me to tears in gratitude. Thanks to God and thanks to the miracle workers at Consulate whos wonderful care brought our mom back to health and life again! Bless you all! patti bernardo/Cleveland, OH

I have never witnessed such unprofessional personnel in the field of health care. This place is absolutely uncaring and irresponsible. The shift change report is more important than the emergency needs of the patients. During the 9 months that my sister has been here, I have witnessed a staff nurse misdiagnose and completely ignore my sisters roommate to the point that the patients glucose level dropped so low that even after EMS got her to the hospital, she passed away. I logged the event in my journal the day it took place. I have witnessed staff members, including nurses, smoking Marijuana outside at night. I have witnessed sexual activity between employees in the parking lot at night. They falsely imply that certain patients family members are spending the night with them at the facility and insult them by rudely telling their family member out loud that they cant spend the night, insinuating that they have no place to go. This has happened to me and my feelings were hurt terribly and it embarrassed me very badly. Please dont bring your loved one here, even if that loved one is a German Shepherd! I intend to notify their corporate office and the state of Florida about the activities going on here.

Because the people here are like a family ... They care about me and you can tell they do ... You can feel it and when no one else was there they were and still are .... Every place has ups and downs ... But thats life ! If it had not been for Consulate healthcare in winter Haven I dont know what I would have done or where I would be at and like I said I love them like my family :)

This is the worst place ever. If you want your loved one to die than this is your place. All they want is your money they dont care about helping your loved one get better because they will loose money.
