I usually hate going to the dentist, or any doctor for that matter. Ask my wife, shell tell you its like pulling teeth (HAHA! See what I did there?) But Dr. Matar at Winter Park Family Dentistry and Prosthodontics actually made it an enjoyable experience. A sizable chunk of my back molar broke off while eating a burger and freaked me out. Now while this may not seem like a huge deal to many, I started freaking out because not only am I not forced to go to the dentist, but now I have to worry about how much this broken tooth will cost me. I called around to some practices but was not able to get seen right away. But then I called Dr. Matar. And what blew me away was that he was willing to wait for me, even after his office doors were closed and equipment completely shut off. I walked in, filled out my intake paperwork, had X-Rays done, and discussed several different options as to how to proceed (including a couple of other teeth that need some work). What made it even better is when I found out how affordable it all actually can be. A seriously awesome guy, would definitely recommend anyone to this dentist.

Having a great, unreasonable fear of dentists and dental work is something that I have struggled with all of my life. Winter Park Family Dentistry was a highly suggested practice for me to try. I must say from the moment I arrived I had a better feeling, from the look of the outside of the building, the very warm lobby, the friendly smiles from the receptionists, I felt more at ease then most places that have a feel that is so sterile and cold. Moving to the back area was just as nice, from the very friendly staff of assistants, the layout of the procedure rooms including the warm colors and carpeted floor I continued feeling more comfortable. Meeting with the doctor and assistant completed in making the experience completely comfortable. Extremely professional yet personal and warm made my visit very calm and I must say that Ive never felt as good walking out of a dentist office before in my life. I thanked the friends that recommended Winter Park Family Dentistry and highly recommend anyone that is looking for a dentist to not look any further.

Ive avoided going to the dentist for years, despite dutifully paying for dental insurance monthly. When I suddenly developed terrible tooth pain, I had no regular dentist to call for help. I texted Winter Park Family Dentistry and Prosthodontics emergency text number in the middle of the night to ask if they could fit me into their schedule the next morning, and I was very surprised to receive a positive reply within a couple of hours -- well before daylight. When I went into the office, everyone was great: friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and skilled. Dr. Matar made me feel completely comfortable, and I trusted his judgment. My entire experience was positive, and I plan to make Winter Park Family Dentistry my regular provider. Oh -- it turns out that the person who responded to my text in the middle of the night was Dr. Matar himself. Very impressive...and highly recommended.

What an awesome experience! I moved recently and Dr. Matars office was highly recommended by two of my colleagues. First, the front office staff is highly professional and efficient. I came in on time, filled in a one page form, and within less than 5 minutes or less, the dental hygienist had called me in for cleaning and exam. She was very communicative and supportive. Dr. Matar came in as she was finishing up and was ready to examine me. He has great bedside manner and is very approachable and down-to-earth. He also shows great appreciation for his staff. What impressed me most is how stress-free the visit was. No scare tactics or sales pitches, just an honest assessment and advice. I love my new dentist!

Ive been to a dentist 90+ times in my lifetime in numerous towns across 3 states and I can say, from the greeting I received when I arrived, the minimal paperwork I had to complete (I didnt even need to provide insurance card or license, all of the insurance work was done behind the scenes before I arrived), the awesome hygienist (fast, friendly and no pain), the friendly Dr. Matar to the no hard sell of needless procedures I get from other dental practices, this first visit today was by far the best- Didnt even need to check out at the front desk- The hygienist made the appointment for me- This place rocks and Ill sign my wife up for sure once we move!

I am really impressed with the level of attention that family dentistry has given me and my family. They always exceed my expectation. The office is very clean .The staff is very friendly and Professional. They always find me an appointment that works with my schedule and, luckily I see the dr right on the time I was given with very little to no wait time. Dr Matar is friendly and professional. He takes the time to explain the Procedure in a very simple way. His work is amazing .i cant tell which tooth he did the filing on and, they always call afterward to make sure that i am OK. Give them a try and I promise you wont be disappointed.

Dr. Matar is the best dentist my family has had! He has an amazing staff too, from the dental assistants to the hygienists, they all make us feel very comfortable. Nobody really enjoys going to see a dentist and thats why I like Dr. Matar, because he takes the time to explain all the procedures, the x-rays, the options. Our previous dentist would rush thru, which I didnt like. We also like that he has a very honest approach, which means he would never recommend something that you dont need. Like other reviews here, Dr. Matar has an unbelievable "hand" for getting you numb. I wasnt able to feel the shot :) We highly recommend him!

Dr. Matar is an exceptional care giver. He has exceptional listening skills and works closely with each patient to review and discuss the best program of treatment that will provide maximum benefit to each patient. Dr Matar and his staff are amazing. From moment I entered the door I was greeted. The front desk checked me in and after waiting only a short period of time I met Dr Matar. I had alot of work I was told I needed done by previous dentist. Dr. Matar took the time to tell me what I actually needed done and why. Everything ran smoothly between him and his assistant Brittany. They had me in and out in no time. Im really glad I came here! This has branded such a remarkable impression and experience with me. Dr. Matar was recommended to me by my daughter. She had severe pain and made contact with him. He met her on a Saturday morning and took care of the problem. Ive have never heard of the excellent service on a Saturday the he gave her that morning. I was so intrigued, I decided to give Dr. Matar a try also. My teeth cleaning was such a great experience. The Hygienist was so much fun to talk to and Dr. Matar walked me through getting my crown replaced and exactly how long it would take from making the temporary to getting the permanent one installed. I would recommend Winter Park Family Dentistry to anyone and everyone.
