Dr. Hirsch will go above and beyond! My dog became suddenly ill with a high fever, and severe imbalance on a Thursday night. First thing, Friday morning he was even worse, I called my regular vet, who is also great, but they didnt have any appointments and suggested I drop him off to be worked in when available. I was not comfortable with that, since my dog became so sick, so fast. I got online and started searching vets in my area with good ratings... after 5 calls with no available appointments, I found Dr. Hirsch...his office had great ratings, and if they didnt have any appointments, I was going to the emergency vet---well they did! and thank God, because my dogs temp was 106!!! From the very beginning, the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. My pup did have to spend 2 nights with them on an IV of fluids and antibiotics, which I was worried about, but when I called to check on him that evening, I was informed by Jessica, that Dr. Hirsch would be checking on him throughout the night, which put me at ease. Dr. Hirsch also didnt charge us for some additional testing due to our financial situation, but felt it was necessary in his care. Sunday, he got to come home, and since then Dr. Hirsch has called 3 times to check on him. Its an amazing relief to find someone who actually cares about what they do! Dr. Hirsch really went above and beyond, and I am eternally greatful. He saved my baby boy, and I will love him forever. Thank you Dr. Hirsch, Sam, Jessica, and other staff that took part in my boys care! Love, Ryan, Judy, and Alex

Nickeled and dimed? More like fiftied and hundreded. We are back in Atlanta for a month. We used to use Village Vets in Decatur for our sweet mixed-breed dog and were very happy with them, but now we are staying in Buckhead. My first mistake was searching online for the lowest-cost boarding. My second was not recognizing the red flag when they insisted on doing the heartworm test even though we have just returned from four years in a part of the world with no heartworm. Now I just picked her up from 9 days boarding. The receptionist said that the dog had had diarrhea and they did a fecal test and treated her with metronidazole. I was surprised that they didnt call me. Very surprised. She ocassionally has loose stools which is normal for her. I expressed my dissatisfaction, paid the extra $71, including $1.95 per metronidazole, which is sold elsewhere for only $0.47, and came home to write this review. We are leaving town anyway, but I would not use them again. I strongly expect they are providing unnecessary treatment to increase revenue. No thanks! After the fact, I see that six of the seven paritally hidden, "non-recommended" reviews of this business on Yelp are one star, some reporting the same problem I had.

Well where do I begin. First off, theyre crazy expensive. Secondly, they nickel and dime you. For instance, we had to take our dog in because of an ear infection and we were due for are bordello shot, but we didnt know. The next day after taking him to the vet, we get a cute postcard in the mail saying hes due for it... So then we had to spend another $90 for the office visit alone. Next, it should be said that our dog has had a history of allergies, so the first time we took him in the vet told us to just give him a call before taking him in to see if t was necessary. Three times we called him and three times they told us to come in without hesitating to hear us out and three times they gave us the same prescription. Also, the vet didnt seem to like our dog and the vet techs werent exactly friendly. We moved our services over to banefield and have been much happier. Theyre way cheaper and much nicer. Also, we dont get the feeling that theyre trying to nickel and dime us. I wanted to give this place a one star if it wasnt for the two vets there - theyre really nice, but not very helpful.

Dr. Hirsch, Dr. Jenkins, and staff have always treated our fur children and us with respect, caring, and compassion. They have been with us in the happy times, well check for a new one-eyed pitbull, and the sad, helping say goodbye to a loved boxer. They have always been fair and I count them as friends. I am fortunate to have found them 13 years ago.

Weve been using this Vet Center for routine check ups as well as boarding for over a year now. They are now open on the weekends which is great and the staff are all very friendly. Weve had nothing but great experiences there!
