I deliberately took several hours to calm down before writing this review. I didnt want to sound crazy or like Ive overreacted - otherwise you or even this vet would not take this negative review seriously. If I could give this vet zero stars, I would, because no customer or pet parent should ever feel the anger and hurt that I felt this morning after an appointment. I literally was crying all the way home, sat in my car and cried even more before I could bring myself to come inside to face my family inside who I know would ask and wonder what was wrong with me. Here is what happened: I took my 3 cats to this vet 2 weeks ago for their annual vaccinations which cost me $666 (I know, I should have seen this total and ran!). While I was in the examination room with my cats, the vet and tech were there and told me that I would need to bring all 3 cats back in within 2 weeks for a follow up booster shot as one of their vaccinations was a 2-part vaccination. Then they said that this visit would be a quick, in and out, and that there would be no charge for this second visit. I took my cats in this morning for the 2nd booster shot and then they checked me out saying that it would $84 for todays vaccinations. I explained that I was told during the last visit that there would be no charge for this 2nd visit, to which the front desk assistant said that they never do vaccinations for free. She asked if maybe something was done incorrectly and that was why I was offered free vaccinations this time, to which I was honest and said no, they didnt mess anything up, but they did tell me that for this 2nd visit, there would be no charge. She continued to just say that they dont have any sort of special going on for free vaccinations and that they would only offer free vaccinations if they made a error. I asked if she could talk to someone about this because I was not making this up or looking for a free anything and that I was only frustrated because I was told this and now I owe $84! She said she would talk to who helped me during the previous vet visit, but still had me pay $84. I felt so taken advantage of and conned. I truly feel like I was overcharged for the first visit, but now to get charged another $84 when I was told that it would be free just disgusts me. I am so hurt and angry - none of this would have even happened or mattered if during our first visit, I was never told that for the 2nd visit there would be no charge. I received a call from the front desk assistant who left a message telling me that she had spoken to the tech that had helped me on the first appointment and she clarified that that tech told me that there would be no exam/office charge for the follow-up/2nd visit. If that was the case, as much as that tech would be sure to tell me that there would be no exam/office fees for the 2nd visit, she should have also felt compelled to clarify that there would still be the charges for the follow-up booster shots. SHAME on Appalachee Ridge Animal Hospital for not having the integrity to see that the statement "there wont be an exam/office fee/charge for the 2nd visit" would lead a customer to think that the follow-up booster shot to the first round of vaccinations was free. Thats like me coming over to fix an appliance, charging you a ton of money, telling you that I will need to come back next week and that this 2nd visit will be quick with no labor charge, then when I do come back, surprise you by charging you more money and when you dispute what Im charging you for, I explain that there was no charge for labor, but that the charges are for installation - WTF! I am so hurt and no one, no human being should ever feel this angry, disgusted, or heartbroken. As a human being Im hurt - its not even about the money. Its the principle, I felt lied to and cheated. Dont come here unless you can afford to pay more than what youre getting and dont come here if you cant stomach getting your heart broken and being misled.

I dont know what to say, other than this animal hospital is amazing! This is the second dog we have brought in. The first was our pug, who was having issues that come with aging. The entire staff was compassionate and helpful through the process. NOW, we have a rescue English Bulldog! I took her in yesterday to get a good going over after the adoption was final. Again... the entire staff could NOT have been any nicer, more helpful and informative. EVen though they called me a "foster fail", its OK. LOL! I admit I am, but they cant blame me after meeting the new member of our family. I cant imagine taking Khloe anywhere else!!! Thanks to all of you!!! Edited to add: Ive had Khloe since the end of June and she is THE best! She gets her nails trimmed every three weeks at Apalachee Ridge and she LOVES to be there. Yesterday I had to take her in to be checked, after an altercation with another dog. Dr Fish and the ENTIRE staff were amazing, as always! Calls to check on Khloe today were so appreciated. Cant imagine going any place else. Edited on 1/30/2017 I dont know what else to say, other than these folks are THE best! Khloe has had some episodes that are very difficult to diagnose. Dr Fish and the entire staff have gone WAY over board in her care. We ended up going to UGA School of Vet Medicine after Dr Fish witnesses an episode. She is still on top of things and staying in touch with UGA as well as keeping me informed. The staff has become like family to us and Khloe loves being there with them, during her visits. I wish I could give them 100 stars!

We came Apalachee Ridge based on a recommendation from our neighbor. We couldnt be happier. From the moment we walked in and were greeted with smiles and warm kindness we knew was the right fit for us. I had many concerns that were addressed by the staff and the Vet. They were friendly with their answers and never rushed me. We felt as if we were in good hands. Every visit has been welcoming. The wait time has been very short and the facility was very clean. When it came time to buy products were surprised that were prices were reasonable and we were even offered a great rebate program. We had had several appoints now and have enjoyed every visit. Our pet feels calm entering their facility which is important. On our last visit a woman came in from a local golf course with a baby bunny that had been abandoned. The staff and Vet immediately came to help. They have a rescue, rehab & release program. I would highly recommend Apalachee Ridge Animal Hospital.

Roxy and I went for a "meet and greet" visit on Saturday, April 9th. I was very pleased with the friendliness of Rebecca (at the front desk) and Caylin (tech) that I talked with. I had previously spoken to Shay (another tech) regarding my concerns on getting Roxys nails trimmed as she is so stressed over it. Shay was also very reassuring on how their practice handles this, and it seems in line with our current vets office. Relieved that Im not an over-obsessive fur mom! Roxy ended up laying down and relaxing and eventually ate the treats shed been offered. We now have our first "official" appointment and Im hoping all goes well...as well as it can when you have a dog involved! LOL! I havent met either of the vets yet, by my daughter & son-in-law love them and referred us here, so were giving it a try! Really appreciate the follow-up call after our meet-and-greet - totally unexpected - but very nice! Thanks!!
