RIPOFF, RIPOFF, RIPOFF. That is all I can say. 6-11-2016 went there with small Dotson who was not urinating as much during the day, but in no apparent pain. In no more than a cursory exam, they tried to scare me into paying $2,000 for potential surgery, and even more outrageous wanted to charge $250 for one XRay to even determine if he had any stones. Gouging a pet owner for $250 for one XRay for a very small dog (8 pounds) when the pet-owner is worried for their dog and thus emotionally vulnerable is like gouging hurricane victims $10 to hurricane victim for a necessity of bottled water. Then, even more OUTRAGEOUS, when I stated this was price gouging of people in a vulnerable situation and that I could not pay that much today, ROBIN the admin started to scare and frighten me into going ahead and paying because it was life or death for my dog -- meanwhile, they did not at that time even know that as no exams or tests had even been done other than a very cursory 3 minute physical exam and the dog exhibited no pain what-so-ever! I said no, and then when paying the $89.00 for the office visit, for which I got nothing except a sales-job fear-tactic attempt to gouge me for first $2,000 just to go ahead and operate, then instead for the $250 single XRay, I met another lady there who had just been GOUGED for $800 visit expenses and was quite upset about it and ROBIN tried to tell me to not communicate with each other but we both ignored her and talked about the similar gouging that NORTH GEORGIA VETERINARY was doing to people and doing the egregious scare-tactics on them when they balked at going forward with the gouged-pricing treatments. NORTH GEORGIA VETERNARY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES by such gouging of dog and animal lovers who take their pets there for treatment and then are given the scare-tactic sale job to do a normally $40 XRay for $250 or a $2,000 treatment regime without a confirmed medical result having determined the true issue and other treatment options done first. STAY AWAY............. THIS PLACE IS A BIG RIP-OFF!!

GREAT doctors and staff. Dr. Oshin saved my furbabies life! Tex (My cat) ended up having urethral obstruction and needing to have emergency PU surgery to keep him from basically drowning in his own urine and feces. I felt something with Dr. Oshin that is hard to come by with Drs/Vets/Etc. I felt compassion & love from him. I felt like he treated my furbaby as if it were his own. He was completely understanding of me and my husband as far as finances go. It ended with a simple fact of money always being an issue & it always will be. I will not always have my furbaby so when the decision came down to it and we had to decide what was best for us, it was saving our furbaby. Tex is still in recovering and doing amazing, thanks to Dr. Oshin and his staff. I will never go anywhere else for emergencies! I RLY wish they did routine Vet care, as well. But i will surely take what i can get of them!! I NEVER felt as though i was being ripped off. The price was completely reasonable, especially for what type of surgery was being done. Compared to other prices, i got a good deal, as well as affection! They have shown us so much love, compassion, & life within their practice. I get teary eyed everytime i think about how he was with Tex. Thanks to them- We will have our furbaby for many more years! :) Thank you North GA Vet Specialists!

This place was horrible! We brought our baby in there very sick and when we couldnt afford to pay almost $2000 to leave him for less than 48, (only to receive fluids and oxygen) and bring him back on Monday to actually do the cultures and lab work....your uncaring doctor told us to take him and put him down if we cared about him at all. Also, during our visit we were told we couldnt leave that night and bring him back on Monday to do the cultures and lab work without another referral and paying for a second assessment. Our sweet baby is still alive and MUCH better. He apparently had a bad cold and your vet not only made us feel like we didnt care about him because he didnt have $2000 to pay you but she also encouraged us to put him to sleep without a full evaluation. I wish I had her name to tell people exactly who to avoid at all cost when visiting ANY vet in the state of Georgia. I will however, encourage everyone I know to avoid your hospital. So far I know two families who have made the choice to go somewhere else further from their home to avoid having the same experience we had. Hopefully, you will take care of the matter, she is the after hours female doctor with absolutely no bedside manner.

I wouldnt go back to this place and Ill tell you why.... Our dog was in a FREAK accident and had very serious injuries that ultimately took her life. I dont need to get graphic on this post however long story short she had to be in a massive amount of pain. When we pulled up I had held her in the bed of a pick up truck for the ride. This was by design as I was attempting to minimize her pain and she was unable to sit or lay down. After multiple people that work at this organization had viewed how grave our situation was.... they waited until all the paperwork was filled out before doing anything. I just cant stomach a vet that couldnt get this poor pup some pain meds in advance of finalizing their payment method. I understand its a business and they need to get paid and was happy to do so for their services. Compassion needs to be balanced with common sense. I would never go back to this place as I feel they have their priorities screwed up. I would have be fine remitting payment in advance of anything else for the simple fact this poor dog needed relief from extreme pain.

This place is great. I have seen a review on here that i dont agree with, although i understand the way this person feels. What needs to be taken into consideration is that this is not just your everyday vet. This in an emergency vet hospital. They already have a delicate job to do, with some seriously injured and some very sick animals. They cant afford to let pet owners to be in the back where they operate on and try to keep calm some already stressed out animals that belong to multiple persons. Your being in the back would only complicate matters in several ways. No, these people are very compassionate, very passionate about the animals they work with. There are several reasons why a doctor. may seem distant. You dont know what they have going on in the operating rooms. I just got my little girl COTTON back tonight after several hours of surgery and procedures, and I count myself and my family very lucky that they are so caring and good at what they do. Its because of these amazing people that me and mine did not lose a beloved family member. I cannot thank you guys enough.

My best buddy (Ranger) became suddenly, very sick last night. We tried rushing him here to get help but before we could make it he passed in the car. The two ladies at the office were beyond kind and caring. She very sweetly let us know what ALL of our options were. When we got to the parking lot she came out and loving picked up dog and cared him inside. They told us they would take care of everything and they did. When she came back out our guy was all taken care of and ready to go to his final resting place. I really do not know what we would have done without these two girls. We chose to bring him home instead of having him cremated. For this option they prepared his body in a nice little box with his name on top and a note to the family. They did not charge us anything for this. That was a small surprise in this horrible evening. They had two different cremation options both were very reasonable in price. I really do not believe I could say enough good things about this place. From my family to this veterinarian family we cannot thank you enough.
