If i could give this place 0 stars, I would. I called with a true dental emergency, my 150 LB Bernese Mountain Dog had a severe seizure, and also subsequently severely fractured his tooth. He was bleeding everywhere, so we took him to our regular vet, who recommended this practice. They are the only practice in the state that offers this service, and refused to see my dog until December, stating it was not an emergency. My dog hasnt eaten or drunken anything in 24 hours and is constantly whimpering in pain, even though hes on strong pain medication. I currently am the manager of a dental office in Grayson, GA and I would NEVER turn a patient away like that, EVEN IF my schedule is booked for weeks out. They tried to send me to a vet in NORTH CAROLINA as an alternative. Never let your dog step foot into this facility, as they really must not care about true patient care. Sending me to another state for care, is not another true option...

My aussie liked to fence fight as a puppy with my other dogs in the other yard. He broke a tooth and it started to be infected. I got a referral to a doggie dentist (Dr. Mees) Had her do a root canal. Yeah, it was not cheap but this practice is super tuned to dogs. This is a serious Doggy Dentist. She saved my dog from a life-threatening abscessed tooth because of his love of running the fence and grabbing at it. Jennifer was an awesome resource of both information and scheduling the appointments. Dr. Mees cares about the dogs in her care and it shows. I highly recommend her practice!

As a retired feline veterinarian (Dr. Patricia Lane) I am extremely careful about choosing a veterinary dentist. I must be certain that the practice uses the safest anesthesia and monitoring, that dental radiographs are taken and that extractions are performed quickly and completely. Earlier this year I asked Dr. Mees to work on my old cat Weasel, who has kidney problems and does not need to spend a long time under anesthesia. I could not have been more pleased. Even after four extractions, Weasel came home feeling great and eating better than ever. Thanks, Dr. Mees!

I had a great experience with Dr. Mees. She saved my dogs fractured canine tooth that the vet would have pulled instead. She took a lot of time to talk with me about what would happen, and her staff kept me informed throughout the day. She pulled some teeth that needed it, cleaned his teeth while he was under anesthesia, and he was fine when they called me to pick him up. The attention they gave before, during, and after the procedure was superb. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Mees and her staff. So if your pet has an oral issue, Id definitely go here first.

We were extremely pleased with our experience with Dr. Mees. Everything was explained to us in detail and in advance, including price. The staff was very caring and took great care of our cat. They called us twice, during and after the procedure. Our regular vet did us a great favor by recommending this practice for specialty dental. Thank you, Dr. Mees and staff.

Dr. Mees and her staff were so wonderful and so easy to work with. They took such good care of my kitty, who had a congenital problem that no one thought could be fixed. Joey is so happy and healthy, and I am so much better educated on dental health. All my pets have benefitted really! Thank you Dr. Mees!

These guys are great. Our poor dog was having teeth extracted by another veterinary clinic and they broke his jaw in the process. The folks at AVDS met with him us soon as they could, and provided great care to our poor dog. Hes doing great now (2 weeks later), and we have AVDS to thank.
