Dr. Wen and the staff at Vernon Woods Animal Hospital are amazing. I had the fortune of having my cat fall into Dr. Wens care the emergency hospital around the corner after a 3 story tightrope act gone wrong. She was nothing but attentive and caring for my cat and gave him the best care for his immediate needs and long term. Shortly thereafter we got a puppy. A BIG puppy! So we are now regulars at Vernon Woods. In the past year of probably 8 vet visits Ive never had an issue scheduling (anywhere from 30 minutes in advance to routine visits weeks ahead), we are always promptly greeted and seen. The experience here is nothing short of wonderful. I recommend Dr. Wen and Vernon Woods to just about everyone I meet with pets. Too frequently I hear "our vets good, but ..." -- well, at Vernon Woods there are no questions that the staff is good, the vets are top notch and my pets are getting the best care.

Cannot recommendly highly enough! Though we had brought him in for an urgent care situation previously (handled quickly and wonderfully), our cat had been long overdue for a general check-up, and we hesitated even longer to actually bring him in because we were so embarassed about it. Wish we had known! Dr. Bishop was kind, understanding, and just fun to talk to. I was especially impressed by the fact that we werent encouraged to overmedicate our little guy. Plus, I naturally ask a million questions, and Dr. Bishop patiently talked me through everything, answering knowledgeably and without hesitation. (And I know this is not the only consideration to judge by, but I was impressed by the vet school hanging on the wall.) Overall, the staff was incredibly friendly, and it was a wonderful experience. As you can see, Ill be strongly recommending them to everyone!

I had to visit this animal hospital in an emergency situation....Im so sorry it took an urgent visit to discover them. They were wonderful. Even though it was my first visit there, the doctors were thorough, compassionate, and explained every treatment option. I was introduced to two more doctors who might subsequently be involved in my pets care, and was comfortable knowing that they were communicating about her case. This was so refreshing after using a animal clinic franchise where the doctor spent five minutes looking at my pet, and then had the tech deliver an $800 estimate for tests. Unlike Dr Emprel, who discusses all cost in detail and alternative treatments thats best for you and your pet. What a lucky find!

I have 3 cats that are seen regularly at Vernon Woods Animal Hospital. The staff there are very friendly and sincere in what they are doing. The Doctors take their time in explaining what the situation is with each animal. They are extremely professional in their handling of the patients". The admin staff are very polite and helpful with appointments and any questions that may come up. I moved here to Sandy Springs 2 1/2 years ago and tried different vets, that were not to my satisfaction in their handling of my pets. After finding Vernon Woods, I will never switch again as long as I am a resident. Thank you all...

Excellent veterinarians are as important to our family as "human doctors" are because our pets are like children. The doctors at Vernon Woods Animal Hospital feel that way, too. They combine their state-of-the-art medical knowledge with a very genuine and gentle love for both people and pets. They dont just treat illnesses, they teach us preventative skills necessary to insure the healthiest, happiest pets. I like and trust all the folks who work there! My long-time favorite is Dr. Pollard, because she (like her associates) is a devoted doctor with a wonderful heart!

I have been to many different vets and I must say that I feel very comfortable bringing my dog to vernon woods. Everyone was friendly and had a positive attitude. I feel like everyone really enjoys working there. Its nice to be in an environment where people love what they do and are passionate about thier jobs. They care about my dogs health and well being as much as I do, which I love. I am happy and relieved to have found such a wonderful vet for my furry four legged child! Thank you all so much! :)

Dr. Andy Empel saved our dogs life-- no question. He diagnosed and treated our dogs acute kidney failure, and after a week at the hospital, our boy came home to us. Dr. Empel explained what was going on, and all of our options in a very compassionate and caring way. Its now over three years later, and hes still going strong! We will forever be grateful for this "bonus" time with our dog, and wouldnt think of taking him to any other doctor after the amazing, life-saving care he got at Vernon Woods.

The veterinarians at this hospital are always kind and attentive to my dog, Nova. I dont have to wait more than just a couple of minutes at each appointment before I am taken to a treatment room. Prior to any treatment they take the time to put her at ease by playing with her and giving her a treat. I had her groomed here last month, and they did a great job. She was happy and unafraid when I picked her up, and looked adorable. My dog and I both really like it here.

Ive been bringing my dog to Dr. Wen ever since she was a puppy, and the care shes received has been great. Dr. Wen is always helpful and truly shows that she cares for her patients. I love that she always does a follow-up phone call to check-in and see how my dog is doing. The entire staff is great, its never difficult to get an appointment and they are always willing to help with questions over the phone. Id recommend this clinic and Dr. Wen to anyone!

All doctors and staff at Vernon Woods are great. We have seen whoever we can get the most convenient appointment with, Dr. Wen with our 3 year old Lab. They are always available when its convenient for us or upon emergency , and we are always satisfied with the care our family dogs receive. We have been with them for about 12 years ,and they have taken us through life and death with our canine family members in the most compassionate manner.

All of the doctors at Vernon Woods are thorough, considerate, and explain things in a understandable way! We prefer to see Drs. Empel when possible and dont ever feel like they try and "sell" us on something that we dont need. We also LOVE getting our pup groomed at Vernon Woods. It is by far the best deal in town and Sneakers always looks great when they are done!

My wife and I have been bringing our dog to Vernon Woods since we adopted him three years ago. The front desk staff knows us the moment we walk in the door. The doctors are also happy to discuss cases over the phone to ensure that we actually need to come in for a visit. Once in the office, the doctors are professional, competent, and wonderful.

Love the service very attentive and professional Dr. Stephanie Hunter really saved the day when she removed some bad teeth - in my dog . Had us all stumped for a long time He is still doing great The dog groomer is terrific and a reasonable price but... Gets expensive when you have to pay other health fees to get your dog groomed
