Doctor that owns the practice pulled my dog atleast a foot, to him by pulling her leash that was attached to her collar, because she didnt want to go to him. She is a stubborn older dog. How dare you handle an animal like that! Im surprised it didnt hurt her neck. Ever heard of trying treats!? I was astonished. They never went there again. Paid for nails to be trimmed. They took my dogs back and it didnt looked trimmed when they brought them back. I told them one of my dogs had anxiety and seizures. Its in his paperwork too. Hes epileptic so stress can increase the chance of him having one. After appointment when waiting there were several loud banging noises. Sounded like someone banging on a wall. Then the Indian doctor, A DOCTOR at the hospital came out and was talking extremely loud, he was happy but it was still so loud it not only scared my dogs but me too. The hospital also put the paperwork from our last vet in the wrong order so they couldnt figure out when the last vet gave them shots. How could you not figure that out? The papers are numbered. And the dates are in order. The secretary didnt realize this until a few months later and I called to have their information transferred. Incredibly unprofessional. I went to them because they have an animal hospital accreditation that means they passed an inspection. I will be reporting this. Apparently they have no idea what goes on when they arent there. Cost way too high as well. I will never trust that accreditation again. Make sure you look at multiple sites before choosing someone. I did and I cant believe this place had higher reviews.

Pat Schmid — 5 star I have a little furry girl named Buffy. I had no idea she was a sick little girl when I got her. Many things were surfacing as this little 1.6lb puppy started growing. A Vet had been taking care of her her and she wasnt looking so good. Her health was declining quickly. Due to an emergency, I took Buffy to see the Vet, only this time I truly thought it could be the last time. By the grace of God, Dr. Smith saw her that day. He knew immediately what was wrong. He said that Buffy had a liver shunt. His next words were, lets fix her. Then he began her treatment. Mortality rate for dogs with liver shunts are around 18 months. Dr. Smith and his knowledge changed her life and mine. Shell be 6 in February. But the trials werent over. Buffy kept getting UTIs. Dr. Smith did his tests, then said Buffy had kidney stones. I was devistated, scared, and yet again, thought it could be her final battle. But, once again, Dr. Smith said, lets fix it. My little girl had surgery yesterday. Dr. Smith removed a total of 5 stones. He saved her life again. Hes an amazing Vet and surgeon. His love and passion for healing Is incredible. I truly believe that God works through Dr. Smiths knowledge and skillful hands. I do believe in miracles since Ive had two already. Cant ever say enough thank yous. But Buffy and I owe him more than We could ever repay.

One day after adopting the Goldendoodle of my dreams, I realized he was invested with fleas. As a clean freak, this was something that was my worst nightmare. My family has been using the same veterinarian for many years, but they were not open on Sundays. What a relief it was to know that County Animal Hospital was open, not only that but at a good time! 8AM! After being up all night worried sick about my new puppy, I called several different places, but County Animal Hospital staff actually made a difference with just one phone call. They gave me instructions for what I could do right then, and I had an appointment for 9:30 that same morning. As frazzled as I was, the staff put me at ease and gave me step by step instructions and were so patient with me (even though I called almost every day for different questions for the next few days). Not one time did they seem annoyed.. they were always eager to answer my questions! Which put me at ease in such a stressful situation. I will definitely be back! Great place!

My fur baby Niki was so sick, my regular vet gave up on her. I brought her in lethargic one day to losing her balance, blindness, and vomiting. My vet diagnosed her having a brain tumor. They said there was nothing more they could do for her. I refused to give up on her since she is only 6 yrs old. I decided to get a second opinion and took her to County Animal Hospital. Dr Smith saw her and said lets fix her. He started her on her treatment as well as ordered addtional test to rule out some things. Although Niki didnt respond to the treatment as soon as expected she did finally started feeling better. Dr Smith called me for updates even on his day off. He is so caring and understanding with my concerns. Entire staff is compassionate. They were all comforting to my Niki during her visit. I am definitely bringing back my dog for her veterinarian needs. I know they wont give up on her so quick like my old vet did.

I had taken my 2 year old Australian Shepherd in to be spayed. Unfortunately, even though they permit for drop offs at early as 730AM I was out of town on that specific day. My fiance dropped her off for me. BUT since I was the individual registered as her owner, Dr. Smith personally called me to check in and make sure I didnt have any questions as well as introduce himself. They also called me as soon as she was out and notified me of any complications (of which there werent any). They kept her overnight to watch her and let us pick her up late in the afternoon the following day so we didnt have to take time of work. They make the process simple, friendly and work around our schedule. Definitely will be our full time Vet from here forward!

Longstanding client for canine who required expensive vet recommended dog food. Routinely purchased at their facility for more than 5 years and more than $50 per bag. New staff forgot to order it (as requested and reminded with phone calls) for 3 weeks in a row! Went to the clinic in person and requested an Rx from the vet to get it from other source since I was now out of dog food. I was totally floored when I was told NO. Upon asking what was more important "my dogs health or their pocketbooks?" I did not get an answer. I immediately requested my dogs medical records and have gone elsewhere knowing that my dog comes first!!!

Point of fact is that it just doesnt get any better than this. Not only is the care state-of-the-art, but the ENTIRE staff is compassionate, caring, professional, and, above all, invested in your pets well-being and welfare. Despite having lived in twenty-plus locations, both domestic and abroad, we have never dealt with anyone, or anyplace, to compare to County Animal Hospital in Mason, Ohio. Kudos to Dr. Gary Smith and the CAH "team"; no, strike that, and replace with "family", since that is a far more accurate description of the environment.

My dog had a stone. The vet removed it but didnt patch him up well enough. In the end he filled up with urine, had to go back in, had 2 hernia operations, and went downhill for another 3 months before we had to euthanize him. Only cost us $3000, and that was after negotiating to remove some fees. Find someone else to perform the operations. The one star is only because we were with them for almost 10 years and they always performed the vaccinations in a timely manner. The front desk can use some customer service training as well.
