UNPROFESSIONAL!! I agree with ATLGIRL, I had a similar situation happen with me recently with my birth control RX. I called for a refill and the nurse left me a message and asked for the pharmacys phone number because they had moved and wasnt sure of the correct number. I called her back and left a message (because you NEVER actually speak to anyone, just their voicemail), and gave the correct number and I never heard from her again. I called the pharmacy and they didnt have a RX on file for me. So I called back AGAIN and the nurse had the nerve to tell me she called and left me several messages and that I didnt return HER calls. She told me I needed to come in for a blood pressure test and theyd give me another refill. So I did. Apparently so did the rest of Smyrna because there had to been 10 other people ahead of me. I waited an hour just to get my blood pressure checked only to be told to go back in the waiting area. When they FINALLY called me back, I had to wait another 20 or so minutes before the nurse practioner came in, asked me 4 questions and wrote me a RX then sent me on my way. SERIOUSLY?!?! My son was born a preemie and the entire time I was in the hospital, the nurses could not get a hold of my doctor. They had to check me without permission from the doctor and by that time I was already 7 centimeters dialated. The nurse at the hospital made the call to go ahead and send me into the delivery room. I was in labor for 3 days and on every drug imaginable trying to stop contractions and didnt get an ephidural until 7 centimeters. After my son (who spent 6 days in NICU and was on an apnea monitor for 4 months but is healthy now) was born, I went back for my checkup only to find out (conviently) that my doctor no longer practiced there and no explanation was ever given to me as to why she never showed up for my delivery AND the doctor they had on call that delivered my baby apparently was not even licensed to do so!!! I thought it was the hospital that I had the problems with but apparently its this doctors office! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! This was my first child and I had the most horrible experience! Unfortunately because of insurance reasons, they are my only option right now but I am looking elsewhere! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR BABY!!

All they want is your money! I had to find a new gynecologist after she retired. I scheduled an appointment here for a Monday and received the very first time slot of the day. I specifically requested (and had it confirmed by the receptionist) that I would have a female doctor. I waited over TWO HOURS before the doctor saw me and it was a male. I was uncomfortable, but had waited so long I just went with it. After the exam, they told me I had to come back every two months for a blood pressure check. I asked if there was a problem with my blood pressure, they said no, but they just wanted to check and yes it would be a co-pay for each appointment. About two months later, I didnt like the birth control RX i was given (which by the way he only made it for 4 months so I would have to come back), so I called to have the doctor call in a new RX we had discussed at my appointment. I have done this with several other doctors in the past and it has never been a problem. Nope not this time. OF COURSE I had to come back in for another FULL EXAM after only two months. Thats another co pay! This place is a joke and wants nothing but your money. DO NOT GO.

Do not go to Dr. Martinez. This woman is rude and extremely unprofessional. Not only did someone walk into the room while my wife was half naked getting an ultrasound done, but when we need advice on what to do because my wife had been vomiting for hours and in a lot of pain (had to call after normal business hours), this woman calls me back and says that "shes not in labor go to Emory Midtown, because thats where we have a contract with". I dont care who they do and do not have contracts with, if my wife is in pain and needs to go the hospital, it shouldnt be a matter of convenience for the Dr office but for us the patient. Im not driving all the way to Midtown just to appease the office. Im going to my local hospital and getting help there. (which by the way is where our last child was born and didnt have a problem with it last time). Stay away from her, if you have to go there, see Dr Brown, hes much nicer.

This place not only smells nauseating, but the test results for simple blood work and a pap smear apparently take SIX WEEKS to receive. THEN, the nurse calls at 3:45 on a Friday to say you need to come back for a consultation. I called back within 5 minutes, and got the answering machine for the next hour & a half. Of course the message states that their hours are 8 - 5, and that if were getting the answering service its because theyve gone to lunch. Ridiculously late test results at 3:45 on a Friday...make anyone a tad bit apprehensive? Thanks for making my holiday weekend needlessly tense. Avoid this roach motel at all costs.

All of the staff (that Ive encountered) is wonderful. I have no complaints regarding this. My complaint however is that I had a consultation at 11:15 am this morning but the MA called me to advise that the NP called in and Dr. B does not come in until 2pm so now my appt has been rescheduled for 1:45pm!! WTF? There is noone else available who could read my results and prescribe medication if needed??? They have the understand my level of anxiety at this moment. Unprofessional to say the least, Ill be looking somewhere else.

piss poor service , waited over a hr to be seen once bc of a mistake they made & i had to speak up they never informed me .. staff not friendly , dr.b is good no complaints on him bt word of advice get better staff and update office equipment its ridiculous i ended up switching my prenatal care elsewhere they dont follow up or show the least bit of concern for patients youre just another file or insurance bill . ladies make this place your last resort at all cost! trust all these reviewers are not lying ..

Wish I can give zero stars! Im 4 months pregnant and new to the area this doctor was a last call for me because every other OB in the area doesnt take my insurance unfortunately. It says theyre closed at 5 I called at 3:55pm precisely and got hung up on I been calling the past hour and now when I call it says that it is closed.. How ironic is that? Im regretting this already I do not want anything to do with this business

Dr. Eric Brown delivered both of my boys in 2009 and 2011. I had to have an emergency C-section twice and he made sure that I was education and comfortable with the entire process. He is a brilliant surgeon and I couldnt see myself putting my life in the hands of any other physician.
