In regard to the visit with Ms. Kela Henry, MD It is hard to find where to start. I am a neurological patient who was told to seek a primary care doctor for referrals and check ups. I had been given a 12-month supply of medication from a neurologist since I am physically so ill that making it to appointments is an extremely difficult task. But the prescription was running out and was no longer very effective. I went to the closest pcp in the area and I believed Emory at Gwinnett was a safe choice. However, it turned out to be a disgusting, and harmful endeavor. When I arrived, I had with me documents regarding my health condition--something my fraternal twin sister has as well which is a congenital defect called Chiari 0 (a form of the defect that most doctors have never heard of--hence the reason for the documents I had brought). We also have Syringomyelia--a PROGRESSIVE cavity within the spinal cord associated with Chiari-like conditions. It is now time for me to undergo the necessary brain surgery, but other conditions must first be tested for and treated prior, due to the high risk of complications. So currently, as I am advised by a nurse practitioner assigned to me by my health insurance company, I am supposed to get into pain management until I have all bases covered. I went in to this clinic with urgency, however. At the end of our visit, Kela said she would refill and up the dose of Gabapentin, which is not a narcotic, thus giving no reason for delay. But she did not fill it until a week later, after I sent an official message to her via Emory patient portal--which she seemed unhappy about as in the email I stated my concern that no one had returned my messages and that I had to even visit an Emergency room for treatment. This office takes over two hours for lunch (meaning the whole clinic is shut down), and they also get off early on Friday at noon... so, lucky them, what a life. But the drive in 90-degree weather complicated my health condition just to see this family physician. I have now sustained a low grade fever since then, and I left this urgent message with the clinic the day after the visit. The point is, I was seriously suffering, and early the following week, I still did not receive a call back. I contacted different people there. Left voice messages on the nurses line and talked to the office manager and referrals department. I was told that the doctor did absolutely nothing she said she would do, and would not respond to their emails regarding my phone calls. I ended up going to the emergency room a day later and it wasnt until after I sent the digital email and showed up in person mid-week with my mother did she hand me a prescription that she had written that day. In front of my mother, she proved my worst fear. She said everything she shouldnt have, and even ended up yelling temporarily at the top of her lungs. Made evident was the fact she actually DID receive my messages, but chose not to have anyone respond. She was not acting like a doctor. In addition to this lack of class she presented us, many employees, if not the majority, were loud and laughing hysterically away from their desks when I initially walked in (sorry to use this term, but "Ghetto" would be the best way to say it). There was an utter lack of professionalism. After this horrible encounter, which will be detailed in an official letter to those it concerns, my mother told me this was the doctor who misdiagnosed her mother with Alzheimers. My grandmother passed away last year, and if detected earlier, she could have been treated. Wrapping this review up, let me just copy and paste the blatant contradictions written on her webpage for this office: *"Walk-ins welcome!" (They are not, unless perhaps you are some how personally connected with the staff) *"Chronic Disease Management" (Her ignorance could very well harm you) *"Minor Emergencies" (She decides when and if she upholds her Oath as a doctor, and may not ever return your call) Id recommend going to any other clinic besides this one.

Overall my experience was good: the staff is friendly and my diagnoses were correct. There are two points that I did not enjoy. Firstly, it was that walk ins are definitely not an option as I walked in and was told that I would have to come back later as the doctors are about to go off to lunch. Both of them at the same time? Seems like there needs to be some better coverage there.... Secondly, they sent a prescription to my pharmacy for a drug that no longer exists. This has happened twice and I had to leave without my medicine as I was not going to wait over an hour just to figure out which medicine I would actually need. They did give me a shot that was very helpful and made things better for me after I left, but I would really liked to have had my medicine.

I was recommended to go to DR. HENRY and honestly she was TERRIBLE. I had high hopes going to an EMORY clinic but its no better than the others. NOW I will say that the front desk ladies and the phone operators are very nice and helpful. They helped more than DR. HENRY. She was nice at first and then she became cold even though I was very pleasant. She did the exam and then walked out. She didnt tell me when or where I could pick up my medicine. She didnt tell me what was wrong. She didnt even say "Thanks for coming. Hope you feel better soon." I had to call back several times to understand what medicine I was taking, what it was for, and what the letter they sent in the mail meant. NEVER. GOING. BACK.

Dr. Henry is awesome. But getting in to see her is painful. -No walkins and often no same day appointments available (how is it a family physician if you cant see them when youre sick?) -They take 2-5 days responding to online portal messages (other Emory facilities are very responsive) -Cant call directly to office. You get put through Emorys switchboard. -As a result, dont expect a response back on a clinical question earlier than 24-48 hours. -There is no family doctor feel. Emory is just too busy to develop rapport with their customers (patients).

Dr. Henry is an excellent physician. She has a great bedside manner, friendly, caring, listens to your symptoms and recommends the necessary treatment as a physician should. The office staffing is friendly and professional. There is a lab onsite which is very convenient.

I am a patient of Dr. Liotta. While he may not come across as the most friendly/personable guy, he does know his stuff! On many occasions, I tell him the issue and he gets me fixed right up. Would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Henry is a very knowledgeable doctor who takes the time to explain your condition to you. She never rushes in and out like my old doctor and takes her time answering all your questions.
