David Barrett is one of the OBGYN doctors there and I must say he is one of the most unprofessional doctors I have EVER had encounters with in my life. First off as Im sitting in the room waiting to be seen by him, I heard everything he said concerning another patient. Then of course I heard him talking and practically belittling me saying I just went to the ER 12 hours ago which was not true. I went the day before and my discharge paperwork said to follow up in one to two days. Instead of coming in explaining that they made an error on my follow up dates and still at least acting interested in what problems I was having he opened the door going off saying what do I want him to do and being very loud and again arrogant, Etc. By that time, I was packing up my things to leave and when he seen that I was leaving he said no get up here I wanna feel your stomach. Do you honestly think I would let someone so arrogant and obviously prejudice touch me after everything he was saying??? So I just walked out. My Mom was there with me and she was so upset she went back in to make a complaint. I have never had a doctor make me cry and feel so down right helpless bc he was not interested in helping me at all. I am currently looking for services somewhere else bc this has been the worst encounter Ive ever had with a doctor but Im having a hard time bc everywhere I call is saying I have to come back here to have my 6 week check up. He is the most arrogant, unprofessional, prejudice, unconcerned doctor I have ever dealt with and he needs to be reprimanded for his actions that were witnessed by the entire nurses staff.

I was in a very bad situation, I had been out of work due to falling into depression for over 2 years. I had no insurance, and no income. Then, about two months ago, somehow I injured my upper arm and shoulder. I could not use my arm, and was in constant pain, but no one would help me without a lot of money up front, or an extremely costly visit to an emergency room. Finally I found Georgia Highlands Medical Services. After searching for so long, it was a huge relief to find someone willing to help. The Staff was courteous and truly seemed to care. They listened to me, and were very helpful. When I saw the Doctor, Dr Goodson, unlike so many other doctors Ive seen over the years, he listened to me, and took his time. He was friendly and gentle. I needed a shot, and blood drawn, his nurse and the lab personal were as painless as anyone can be with a needle. I was able to get my prescriptions right there from another friendly member of their staff. Honestly, I can not say enough on how I feel about this office. To finally have help. I know itll be a slow recovery for whats wrong with my arm, but now I know it will be better .. and now I finally have help with my depression. I already feel a bit better .. not sure if medication can work that fast, but knowing that there are people that do care out there, is a great way to brighten up your day. Thank you so much! Once I get better, and back on my feet, making an income again, I still hope to keep Dr Goodson as my physician.

The fact that they work on a sliding scale is great! What a blessing for people who cant afford health insurance. Except for, on my second visit I was charged double without my knowledge, and told I didnt pay for my first visit. You pay before you even go in to see the doctor so that is pretty impossible. And hey thanks for asking me before you charged me extra, good thing I didnt over draft my account. Really great thing to do to people who are coming to you because they have low incomes. Furthermore, the visit was pointless and the doctor was unwilling to help me with my issue. So I just payed double for a visit, and at the end of the day am still in great pain and sick with no idea what to do about it. Thanks for nothing crooks.

I have gone a few times and told my husband and daughter to move there. Because this is a place where you are kindly treated with kindness, with love, since you enter the reception when you are registered, then the nurses, the doctors and the laboratory. Many thanks to everyone for doing their work with human quality and love. From what I could observe you attend as well as you have insurance as the one who does not have it. To which he has to pay as he does not have. That is love for their profession where the love for health and life is enhanced. Thank you. God bless and reward you

I have been in and out of hospitals for years for DVT and pulmonary embolisms. Because I have scar tissue in the crook of my arm, Dr."GB" accused me of drug use right off the bat and that set the tone for the ridiculousness that followed. Lab was unable to draw blood for testing, which resulted in more scarring and bruising on my arms. Also, the doctor refused to refill my seizure medication...I hope the next one happens soon and I can file legal action against this sorry excuse for a "clinic".

Womens Health OB Management should not come by seniority, The person should be qualified. A degree would be nice, if not at least let that person be a good fit for the position. I witnessed if a manager does not like you they would start picking until either you quit, your so uncomfortable and make mistakes, or they just get rid of you over frivolous reasons. Horrible place to work needs a Investigation from Department of Labor!

Very hard to get someone on the phone. Calling to get prescription refilled takes to long. Must leave message on a answering machine and wait. Then keep calling pharmacy to see if it has been sent to them yet.
