We were able to get our German Shepard "Jerry" in right away. He loves Dr. Probst and the entire staff is very helpful. If you knew how much of a nightmare it is taking Jerry anywhere else you would understand our surprise. The Doctor and staff care about each individual patient and give excellent care! We have two dogs and a cat and love them very much, we would not take them anywhere else. Thank goodness we found such a great doctor for our animals. If you want outstanding treatment for your animals, we highly recommend Belvidere Family Pet Clinic!

Oktober Love

They took amazing care of baby Chihuahua named Faye, providing her with all of her vaccines, deworming, and heart guard. They treated her like the little princess she is and made me trust them even more. Waiting was never a major issue as it is with most other animal hospitals. I would only use Belvidere for baby animals but once they get old enough I would recommend seeking out a private vet closer to home or one that would come to your house. Because Belvidere can get expensive and requires quite a drive, especially from Loves Park.

I had my dog operated on to remove a fatty tumor from her leg. The follow up visit my dog was terrified the moment the Dr came in. She was fine with us and with the assistant but not with the Dr. The doctor charged us extra fees for replacing broken stitches and pointing out how much other places could charge me but that he was charging less. It seems charging less you get less service. I have had dogs all my life. I have never had a dog so terrified of a vet until today. I will definately never return there.

We have been using Dr. P since my morkies were 10 weeks old. and we love him. To say that he doesnt have compassion is a LIE! This guy loves my dogs and they him, and we love him. They get us in one my mischievous morkie, Chibby, gets into stuff he shouldnt, even if I call and its close to closing time, he waits for us. I would not let some of these negative reviews scare you aware from going to see Dr. P!

I brought my kitty in thru paws to have her spayed as she was a stray and my income is tight. Apparently i missed the box where you can pay additionally for pain meds, which i had no problem doing. When i told them this and my kitty was half groggy from surgery, the vet came out grabbed her by her scruff and yanked her half out of the carrier to give her some. Apparently low cost means low compassion

Dr. Probst truly loves animals. He is an awesome vet who treats you and your pet like family. He always gives the best care. He has saved a couple dogs I love. I trust him with my fur babies lives. He is genuine and truthful and doesnt do unnecessary things just to rack up the bill. There are a lot of vets I know who should follow in his footsteps.

The vet came in gave my puppy her shot and left leaving the assistant to tell me the rest. Im paying you to ask if I have questions not just do what needs to be done and then leave right away. I understand you have other patients it needs to spend more time if we have questions.

Great service and staff! At this point, weve had twenty feral cats neutered or spayed there. Theyve gotten their vaccinations as well. PAWS (Rockford, IL) subsidizes services for ferals and we appreciate that as well. As another rater said: "Great Vet with Great Service!"

Very personable, and more importantly, knowledgeable staff. Exceptional service at a more than fair price! We no longer live in Belvidere but continue to travel for both of our dogs veterinary needs.
