We brought our two girls (German Shepherds) in for their shots and and a look at ones growth in her mouth and head. She loved the doctor and gave her Kisses. Our other girl is a bit aggressive and doesnt like men. So when she went in the back for a blood test, all the men scattered. She also didnt like the shot in her butt. Dr. Stover is very gentle and we will be bring them back in a few months for spaying and a growth removal. I and my dogs have a good experience and everyone there is very NICE. We brought the dogs back early April 2015 for spaying and one dog Gia had several lumps. The doctor call after each procedure to inform us of what he saw. Nice. Made us comfortable with our dogs being away from us. I would highly refer anyone to Bethany Animal Hospital. They really care! My Shepherd Gia went in recently with another hard lump and again, cancer. The lump was removed and cancer has NOT spread. Now my girl loves to go there. I thank everyone for being so supportive. (1/7/16) On 5/5/16 my beautiful german shepherd Gia died after trying to battle cancer. She was on her way to Bethany because we knew she was near the end. She died while trying to get her in the car. Bethany was very considerate and took over while we grieve. It was hard to leave her and a couple of days ago, we got a card from them with the Rainbow Bridge poem. I had never heard or read this before. I lost it but I am hoping that there is a Rainbow Bridge and she is waiting for me there. Its not the same and her sister is not the same either. I am picking my babys ashes up on Friday 5/13/16 so she can again be home with us. Someone needs to find a cure for pets and humans. We loved her soooo much. I am still hurting and wish she was still with us. Thank you Dr. D for your caring and concern.

A particular female vet (cant remember the name) saw my cat after he hadnt eaten in a few days and was lethargic. She stated "we could give him fluids, I guess, if you wanted" (keep in mind it was within 15 minutes of closing at this time on a Friday). She gave me an appetite stimulant to give the cat and sent me on my way. Less than 2 hours later, my cat had vomited all the food the stimulant caused him to eat and was barely moving. I called the After Hours Emergency clinic in St. Charles, and they stated I needed to bring him in IMMEDIATELY. Upon checking my cat out, the vet there stated it was pure negligence on the part of the vet at Bethany Animal Hospital to not give my cat fluids, and that following the care instructions given (wait and see till Monday) would have killed my cat. My cat required monitoring into Tues (and needed to be transferred back to Bethany for said monitoring), and Bethany charged me more than $500 for less than 24 hours of monitoring my cat. I also filed an official complaint regarding the first vet. Id rather drive an hour back to my vet back home (Im in college) than take my cat back to Bethany.

I think Bethany Animal Hospitals VET QUALITY is dependent upon which vet you use. I agree both previous reviewers. Dr. Carlos Dominguez is absolutely wonderful and the only vet I would allow to provide care my animals (rats and dog). I would follow this mans practice anywhere! There was another vet there who was just as competent and personally wonderful as Dr. Dominguez, but he passed away. However, there was or still is a new( to 2009) female vet there (not Dr. Gruber or the practice owner) that I would never allow around my animals and seemed to come across as being burdened with the care of the animals and their pet parents. To say her customer service or "bedside manner" stunk is not saying it enough! Regardless, I have nothing but good things to say about the support staff from front desk people to the techs. I have found them to be nothing but professional, competent and friendly. As I move back into pet ownership some day, I will be right back there with Dr. Dominguez.

Every single employee is conscientious and caring - friendly to owners and loving to pets. The animal patients seem to love them in return! The Kennel is spotless and meticulous in care, exercise, and loving attention. My dog is happy and excited to stay there! She is older so the laser and water treadmill Rehab section has remarkably helped stiffness in her back and legs and she enjoys the fun and gentle caring attention! The medical staff is not just excellent, they are dedicated to the best health and treatment possible for their patients using the safest methods and offering the best options for owners to choose from. Bethany has been a great team to have on our side for the longest, healthiest, happiest life of my precious little dog, and we both love them! I recommend them extremely highly!!

This has been the best veterinarian Ive ever had and I dread the day I move too far to come here. They go out of their way to make sure both animal and human are comfortable. I have a cat that had been through hell with other vets(taking teeth out that didnt need to be, sticking thinks in him that didnt need to go there and wrongdiagnoses *cough cough pet smart) but bethany animal hospital is the first place that my cat is a little comfortable. They make sure hes calm before beginning and have been able to tell me what was wrong with my cat from the first visit and have me leave fully understanding as well as have the nessisary medicin to care for him. The staff are all very pleasant and trusting, Ive never had anyone there rude. I highly recommend this place!

As many reviewers have noticed, the staff and doctors at Bethany are superb, and theyre not just vets, theyre friends. Drs. Gruber, Dominguez and Schelkopf are the most understanding and patient human beings Ive met, and the best of it is that they love and understand my two, very different cats. They are honest and straight when it comes to advising about treatments, and their concern about my cats health is genuine and sincere. I dont want to forget Lindsay, one of their receptionists, who somehow manages to remember pets and their parents, and knows my cats very well. That alone helps me when I take them to see their doctors for their checkups and for the rare emergencies weve had. In short, I recommend BAH most enthusiastically!

I now bring my boy, Otto, here for boarding and check ups. The staff out front is one of the best Ive ever met, the guys and gals in the boarding area treat Mr. Otto with so much love that he doesnt bat an eyelash at going to the vet. I get pictures texted to me and updates when available. I couldnt be more satisfied with them. Otto just had a check up this week with Dr. Heather Brown and I couldnt have been more pleased. Im a new dog dad and she calmed me of many questions I had. Jodie was Ottos nurse for the appointment and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well. I plan on making the switch to Bethany with my two cats as well. Thanks for the great service, Bethany Animal Hospital!
