It shouldve never have happened the way it did...and the reason I am writing this is to ensure no one else will have to feel the guilt and regret that I have been feeling every day, since the evening of May 5th. The day was perfect, we drove him out to the beach, to walk in the sand and water he so very much enjoyed in our years out in Washington. Schroeder began physically pulling away as he grew more sick in those last couple weeks, so being able to hold him in our laps, close to our hearts, on the drive and let him feel the wind against his fur one more time, meant so much. We thought putting him to sleep in our home would be most comfortable, like most dogs, he was so nervous going to the vets, so we had Dr. Nelson come to our home. Pulling out the electric razor was the first mistake. Anyone who has ever spent time with dogs, knows that an object that makes an odd noise and vibrates, can be enough to terrify any dog. Shaving him, missing the vein and not bringing sedatives...The look of fear in his worn eyes is not the memory I wanted to have play over and over in my mind. All the questions of why and what ifs come crashing in and leave my heart so very heavy. If only I werent so dismissed in the reality of losing him I couldve changed the way the events were unfolding and protected him from being so frightened in his very last breath. Schroeder, meant the world to us...He was the one dog that taught us how to completely open our soul to an animal and truly love. He entered my world by jumping into my lap, instantly loving and trusting me with his little life...He was supposed to leave the world the same way.

I was a bit nervous bringing my cat here as I once had a very bad experience at a "chain" type vet office. I was nervous for nothing. This was a great experience. The staff were all great. The assistant was WONDERFUL with my very nervous cat. They all have a real passion for these animals. The vet was great. She was very informative and answered all my questions. The front staff was even very helpful with a little misunderstanding with my bill (my bad, I forgot about my coupon). They took care of it right away and were cheerful and helpful. Everyone there is an animal person. They all caught on to my cats feelings and quirks, and treated her with empathy and respect. I will be back!

My daughter took her cat here (as well as another VCA facility) and it is close to where we live so I figured Id give them a try for my new rescue dog. Everyone in the office is very helpful and knowledgeable. The Vets and Asst Vets are also very knowledgeable. You can tell that they all enjoy animals and what they do. My new rescue dog was treated for heart-worm prior to me acquiring her, and they were very helpful in helping me understand what I needed to do in terms of rest and exercise over the coming months. They also offer a number of other services that I may check out.

Ive been bringing my Maltese here for a couple of years now. I take advantage of the wellness plans for a small fee per month which includes some shots and tests, a dental cleaning, and some visits. Its very convenient for me! The staff is super caring and trustworthy. The girls at the desk treat my little guy like family. Dr.Roulette is friendly and thorough and she provides me with all of my options so I can make the best desicions. She is great at following up with test results and returning phone calls. The new facility off Boughton and Rt53 is especially nice.

Best staff ever. And most fabulous doctor in the world! When my Lily lays in the arms of the vet and cuddles with her; you know this is the place to be. I drive from Chicago to get thus amazing care for my baby chihuahua. Dr. Rowlett is so caring and they know you and your pet so well. People have mentioned they are expensive and yes more than a chgo vet i have used, but it is okay becaue I belive the care is worth it.

My dog had a broken paw, call them to see if they can take care of it or i should take it to emergency, they told me to bring it, pay 75dls for consultation, 200 for xrays, and all they told me its that it had a broken paw, and they were not able to cast it or put a splinter because they did not have anything that small for a yorkie, so end up paying over 300 dls, and end up going to the emergency room to get it fix.

We met Dr. Sonja under the wost circumstances, we had to put our 4 year old Guinee pig to sleep. The staff was caring and very infomative (almost too informative). Now they care for our two newly adobpted cats. the facility may be a bit outdated looks wise, but the care there is exceptional, informative, and they even let my daughter see the facilities as well as pet "Moo". We wouldnt go anywhere else.

This place is fantastic! An extremely friendly and professional staff, beautiful facility, and they offer a ton of services! We brought our newly adopted buddy in for his first check-up this week, and then a follow up a few days later. Their hours make it easy to get an appointment at a time that works for you, and theyre just really great folks. Im so glad VCA is in our neighborhood!

VCA Bolingbrook has been like family for us for over a decade, especially for my Min Pin. He had more medical issues and mishaps than we could count and everyone at VCA cared for him like he was their own until the day he died, and then was so respectful and kind when returning his ashes. There is no place I would ever imagine taking my dogs. (Or other pets!).

I picked my 6 month kitty up from VCA- bolingbrook and he was butchered. He had blood all over him cause he just got neutered and he was so disoriented. He got so so sick he started having heart failure and passed less then day later. He had no problems before. DONT GO THERE

We have been taking our pets to VCA Bolingbrook Animal Hospital for over 40 years--when Bolingbrook Animal Hospital was first established. We have always been completely satisfied with them. The staff is friendly and they have always taken good care of our pets.

Way WAY! to expensive! $200 for annual check up & shots. Thats AFTER a "Free First Exam" coupon! (would have been $250). More that double what we paid last year at All Pets in Lockport. I guess were driving back to Lockport next year.

The staff is so friendly and caring. My dogs actually like going to the vet. We usually see Dr. Rowlett and I would recommend her to everyone; she was actually recommended to us.

Great place to take your pets! All our dogs went there when I was a kid and now I take my puppy there. The workers are very kind and honestly care about your beloved pet
