If I were to rate this office purely on either of the two Dr Kirschners (there are two brothers) or Dr Lisa Wilson, I would rate them higher. I have always been happy with the exam and the level of detail of the actual doctors. However, overall, the rest of the staff at this office brings the rating down. Every visit to this office, regardless if Im on time or not results in a very long wait. I typically have to wait 20-30 minutes in the main waiting room, then when your name is called, you get to move to the smaller waiting "closet" in the corner. Then you sit there at least another 10 minutes before getting moved to a room where you wait again. Theres been times a simple eye exam turned into a 2 hour event. Almost always when they order frames they say theyll be ready in a week and its much longer than that. The last time I went there, they only put a lens in one side of my glasses! The other side had the demo lens in it, and the amazing thing is, they didnt even seem to think that was a problem until I mentioned it to them! Then after complaining, it took another month before they got the lens, and when I called to complain they acted like it was my fault that I didnt follow up with them. This wouldnt be so bad if this was a fly by night operation with cheap rates, but their prices are some of the highest Ive ever seen. Even with my Vision insurance, I regularly pay over $300 for a visit, eye xray, and new glasses. Their prices for contact lenses are considerably higher than you can get online. I have other complaints too, but I dont want to make this review any longer. From the other reviews on Google, it seems I am not the only one to complain about the office staff. Its such a shame because the actual doctors here are pretty good.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS... AND RACIST!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...

I went to Kirschner Vision a few weeks back for an eye exam and contact lenses.. After the optometrist completed my eye exam, she informed me that a staff member would instruct me on how to take my contacts in and out ( I am new to contacts). In under 5 minutes, I was able to put my contacts in and take them out. When I went to pay for the visit, the lady informs me that it was $130..When I looked at the breakdown of the bill it showed my eye exam was around $180( which my insurance covered) and a 30$ co pay...an additional $100 had been charged. When I asked what the $100 charge was, the lady told me it was for the "contact lens training"....A 5 minute instruction on how to put contacts into my eyes was costing me $100 out of pocket! What a SCAM! Not only will I never go back to this place, but my entire family will not be going here either. Nicely done guys you got me for $100 but you just lost business on a family of 6.

I love the selection of glasses, and the office is really beautiful. The doctor I see is wonderful and I like her very much. She explains everything to me and really takes the time to give me personal service, which I appreciate. The biggest downside, and probably the only downside to Kirschner Vision is the office staff. They are often short on the phone, they do not acknowledge you in the office, and they seem too busy to help you. Choosing eyeglasses is a bit of a personal thing, and its not like going through the drive thru of a restaurant, where speed is the only objective. If they could be as caring and professional as the doctors, this place would be outstanding. There are multiple offices, so I should mention that Ive only been to the Homewood office.

I have been a client for many years. I began with the group when Dr. Harold Kirschner (the father) ran the practice. Ill agree that their costs are a bit higher than other. However, for your money you receive a complete exam including all of the state of the art eye health diagnostic tests. This complete screening gives me piece of mind and is well worth the extra dollars. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, we all have a bad day now and again. Especially when dealing with a public. Their product selection and fittings have always met my needs. Dr. Wilson provided an emergency exam with less than 24 hours notice to diagnose and treat painful retinal inflamation I would highly recommend them

My experience at Kirschner Vision is always amazing. The staff is bright and inviting as soon as you walk into the building. Its just an overall pleasant atmosphere. On this particular visit I came just to purchase frames as I have relocated to another state and was home for the holidays. Kirschner has thee premier assortment of frames! They have a frame that caters to every budget and style. I had the pleasure of working with Carmille. Let me tell you..she is the best! Her passion for her job radiates in everything she does. Carmille made shopping for my frames fun, comfortable and easy. I recommend Kirschner Vision to everyone.

I love this place and all of the Doctors. I have been a customer here for about six years. Ever since I had an eye emergency and they were the only place that would take me in without an appointment. Sometimes people do have to wait, because of issues like mine, where they are helping someone in an emergency or urgent situation. I have never had an issue with the office staff, and the one time my contacts were the wrong prescription, they remedied the situation in a timely fashion. Not sure what kind of experiences some of you all are having, but if you want your eyes to be healthy GO HERE!

The customer service at Kirschner Vision Source is exceptional from the service associates to the Doctors. Lisa L. Wilson, O.D. is my vision doctor of choice. She makes the patients feel comfortable while educating you on eye care and explaining your vision challenges. Although my sight is deteriorating, she was able to diagnose the proper eyeglass prescription and lens size which enable me to wear one pair of glasses (progressive lens) versus the three pairs I bought to her office. If you are in need of a knowledgeable eye professional, I recommend Dr. Wilson.

The service I received there this morning, February 17, 2016 was exceptional. From the pleasant greeting as I entered through the front doors, to the courtesy, professionalism and overall great customer service that I experienced. It was simply awesome. I highly recommend Kirschner Vision Group in Homewood to anyone who wants to experience quality service and individualized personal attention. A special salute to Kristy, Fai-Tai, Carmille and Dr. Lisa Wilson. Thank you guys.

Walked in and NO ONE said hello or welcome. A man finally spoke to us after about 10 minutes in the store. The store was not busy, with about 3 other patrons visible. I stopped in to pick out frames but I refuse to spend money at a place that does not acknowledge customers and potential buyers. Felt invisible. Even when we exited the store the ladies at the front ignored us and said nothing. "Go where you are celebrated, not where you are tolerated."
