On 06/28/2017 I had several tests done. from admitting, through ambulatory surgery and in surgery department. Every staff member I encountered were nothing but professional, respectful and caring. Jersey county has a hidden gem sitting right here. I have worked in many hospitals through my career. I have to say we in Jersey county are very fortunate to have this little gem here. As for the negative reviews I have read, pertain to the emergency room only. My experience with ER staff any where I have worked is they have to be tough because they see some of the worst of humanity coming through their doors from gunshots to multiple car accidents to psychotic aggressive patients and to the simple drug seeker. Keep growing Jerseyville Hospital because we need you.

Very insensitive to needs. Was looked at and judged like I was some kind of white trash. The nurses where VERY JUDGEMENTAL!!! Was treated like I was faking my pain and was only there trying to get drugs. All because I have tattoos. The doctor (whos name escapes me. A black male doctor) was VERY FRIENDLY, kind, and helpful. Id give him 4 stars. So 1 half of the 2 stars go to him. The other half star goes to the cleanliness of the hospital.

I went to the ER for severe pain in my leg. The staff were very rude and the nurse stood outside my door and said theres nothing wrong with her just give her a shot and send her home. I guess he could feel what was going on in my body. This is not the first time I have been to the ER and been treated terribly. I wouldnt send my dog to be treated here.

JCH has come a long way. I had a son get a CT scan recently and I had x-rays as well. They did a fine job.
