Pros: Quick in and out. Desk/welcoming staff friendly. Nice little location. Effective doctor. Cons: Nurses were unfriendly, and rude. Okay so Ive had some good experiences and some bad... Im one of those guys who hates going to the hospital. My dad gave me that "Drink fluids. Eat. Sleep. and tough it out" mentality. But one time I was feeling awful, and each day it only seemed to get worse. Without a regular doctor we popped in this place once my sickness was impacting school and work. We had to fill out some quick paperwork, but the girls at the desks seemed relatively nice. When I was called in... you know they have those nurses that weigh you and ask whats wrong before the doctor comes. Well a larger woman had the nerve to tell me that I was just fine, and didnt even look sick. A male nurse came in while she was getting my blood pressure and chuckled in agreement with her. If i recall correctly I believe their was even a joke as to whether or not I was "faking sick" infront of me as if I wasnt there. Hello, this isnt the second grade. Once the doctor heard me out (he wasnt a smiley kinda guy, but he WAS patient and courteous) bloodwork was done. The nurse that drew my blood, filled about 6 tubes as I guess they wanted a plethora of my blood to run various tests. By the 4/5th tube I started getting nauseous and feeling a bit dizzy... I informed her and this nurse (the third one now) said "REALLY?!? Dont pass out on me!" In a loud, upset, and rude voice. Low and behold the doctor found out I had Mono, and gave me the right prescriptions to feel a whole heck of a lot better, and I endured the next couple weeks of recovery thanks to him (but no thanks to those nurses). I really wish I remember this one girls name...I went back for a final blood test to be sure I was over Mono. When I told her that I was prone to getting nauseous with blood being drawn...she took me away from the "blood drawing chair", and took me into their little emergency room. She pulled the sides of the rails up (haha, overkill, but I didnt complain), and even asked me what flavor juice I wanted. She was freakin friendly as ever, and I never even noticed when she pierced my skin with the needle. My advice? Theirs some good staff there...but certainly not everyone lives up to the "Treat others as you yourself want to me treated..." So if someone gives you a nasty attitude, SPEAK UP, SPEAK YOUR MIND, and get someone else to help you.

On 11/19/2011, I had a minor medical problem in the evening that I felt needed to be looked at through an Urgent Care facility. I wanted Urgent Care as my insurance co-pay is $50; Hospital Emergency room has a $150 co-pay. I didnt nee the services of an ER room as I felt it was a minor illness. I found Ingalls Family Care Center through google listed as Urgent Care. And their sign at the facility at 6701 W. 159th St. in Tinley Park says Urgent Aid -- not hospital emergency room. The facility is totally unprofessional, and advertises itself impropertly as an Urgent care facility. I went there thinking I was using Urgent care which is a $50 copay with my insurance. The interior waiting room was not very clean and the employee at the desk was slow and unprofessional. I had a 20 minute wait, though I was the only one in the waiting room at nearly 10 pm. The room was very grungy, looked like a county hospital. I was shocked when I got my insurance explanation of benefits that I have to pay them the same copay as an emergency room - $150, as they code all their urgent care visits as emergency room visits. This was not a hospital. Staff and equipment was inferior to Palos Urgent Care facility and in no way should be the equivalent of a hospital emergency room. I contacted Ingalls billing, and after being on hold for about 25 minutes, I spoke to a Zaniah(?) who indicated they bill all their urgent care visits as emergency room visits and it couldnt be rebilled to my insurance. She indicated I signed a paper when I signed in agreeing to the higher er charges. Sorry, but I thought I was getting the typical Hippha/privacy notices. It would have been appropriate then had the nonprofessional receptionist pointed out that they are a "EMERGENRY ROOM" and not truely an Urgent Care facility. Zaniah(?) indicated she would be willing to write off $30, but I still had to pay $120 -- as opposed to the $50 standard co-pay in my insurance plan for Urgent care. I told her the sign outside was false advertising and I could have gone to a real hospital had I known they would bill it as such; or to Palos Urgent Care which is a far superior facility.

I know when you go to an immediate care facility in the middle of the night that service may not be the best r the fastest but this was ridiculous!! We went in at 9:30 for our 11 month old who had a temp of 103.2, which is pretty high for an infant and we were pretty scared. Well good thing we went to "Urgent Aid" and had to wait for almost an hour through alot of crying upset baby before anyone even looked at her to get her temp down. There were only about 4 people ahead of us who really didnt look all that bad at all some of them had been there since 6:30! the dr. finally saw us at 1:00 am and was in the room with us for about 2 minutes. he nurses were rude to us even though we were patient and didnt get rude about how terrible the wait and service was. The Dr. was nice but looked like he JUST graduated medical school. SO we finally got to go home at 2:30 in the morning. Luckily our baby was a good sport about the whole thing!!

Went there With my daughter on Memorial Day due to extreme abdominal pain. The dr.released her with ibuprofen and said she must have pulled a muscle.Young female dr. She didnt have a fever. So they werent going to do a CT scan. I explained I had another daughter whos appendix ruptured 5 yrs earlier with no temperature either. So we left 8 hrs later she was buckled over with extreme pain even worse.Took her to another hospital and did a CT scan in the emergency room found the ruptured appendix.Thank you for your negligence which cost my daughter a 4 day hospital stay.If it were caught early it wouldnt have been ruptured. Dont ever overlook extreme abdominal pain. And even if its a holiday make them do there job.
