When I moved to Indy I had to find a new dentist and chose Stones Crossing Dentistry. Initially I liked it there. Then last year they sent me a post card for my 6 month cleaning. I called for my appointment and they scheduled me 6 weeks before my actual cleaning was due (unbenownst to me). Since my insurance only covers once every six months I got a bill. Of course I was confused so I called my insurance company to see why they were billing me and they told me I had gone for a cleaning 6 weeks too early. So I called Stones Crossing to ask what happened and they said that they typically check for that but that I must have "slipped through the cracks!" I asked that since it was their mistake and I made my appointment in good faith that the postcard was sent when I was due for a cleaning not 2 months early if they would forgive my bill for $77. They refused. They also lied to me telling me they had given me a discount for their mistake when in fact I found out, since I have several relatives in the dental profession in Michigan, that they cant charge the full amount when they file it with your insurance company. All in all I am so disappointed with the lack of integrity with this office. I was amazed that they wouldnt rectify the mistake they admitted they made. I had even referred friends to them. Obviously I will no longer be going there as I refuse to do business with unethical people and I caution anyone looking for a denitst to be wary of Stones Crossing as they do not put any value in their patients...only in collecting money.

Unfortunately both me and my spouse will no longer use Stones Crossing Dentistry for our dental needs. I will not explain in detail the issues that has caused our decision. However, I can say that the office has changed considerably over the past few years. Some of their policies I do not agree with such as you can no longer expect to get a hygienist that you were scheduled with. You will get whom ever they want to place you with which may be a temporary hygienist. While in the office today another patient came in to ask for their records to be sent to a new office and expressed their displeasure with this practice as well. As I stated I will not specify my several other valid reasons why we have made this decision but I certainly can not recommend this as a dental practice to anyone any longer.

Dr. Wilkins has been our family dentist for more than ten years. He continually acquires the latest equipment and is experienced in performing the newest treatment procedures, a great benefit for his patients. He has adeptly handled every emergency we have had and is extraordinarily accomplished in both general and cosmetic dentistry. He maintains and exceptional and loyal staff of technicians and assistants with virtually no turnover so the office has a family friendliness that is unique to Dr. Wilkins practice. We like the friendliness of the office staff, and they are always running on time or even ahead of schedule. Plus they are thorough about scheduling and reminding patients about appointments. My only negative is that the dentist didnt speak to me as the parent after my daughters cleanings. I had a question about wisdom teeth, but did not get to see him to ask.

My first visit went great. Had x-rays and a cleaning. The dental assistant was really nice and gentle and made sure I was comfortable. Very reasonable pricing for two cavities that I already knew I had. No pressure to purchase anything I didnt want. This will be me and my husbands new dentist!
