Ive been going to West 10th Dental Group for years and for the most part they did a good job. There are more than one dentist that work at this facility. For me, Im on my 3rd dentist here. It seems the dentists dont stay long here. My first dentist was the best and he went on and did better things (promotion in his career). Cleaning is thorough and really good and they also have the state of our art technology as far as the computer systems go. However, when it comes to other dental work such as fillings and crowns I dont have confidence in them anymore. I had a crown done about 18 months ago and its been giving me problems ever since. Lately, it seems that the timely of the service has also degraded too. For example, after my cleaning was done on my last appointment I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a dentist to come in and check me. After dental work is done, you;ll have to check out at the front desk. This can sometimes take awhile and sometimes need to wait in line. The last time I had to leave before I could check out after waiting 20+ minutes. One important note: I also feel they need to do a better job keeping your medical records confident and discreet. The cubes are open and you can hear them talking to other patients in the next cube about their medical history. I know a lot of dentist offices are set up this way. I think having some white noise installed or fans would help this situation. I sometimes hard to get appt for emergencies, etc. The last time I called, I explained to them that I am in excruciating pain and I need an appointment to see a dentist. They said they couldnt get me in for another four days. I couldnt take the pain much longer and had to call another dentist.

West 10th Dental has several dentists. If you get anyone except Dr Thompson you will be fine. All the techs there are kind, friendly and compassionate. She is not. I have always loved the dentist because even getting cavities filled was made pleasant. My first one in 10 years and I was in so much pain while Dr Thompson drilled in my mouth I was crying and white knuckling the chair. Then my last checkup she very roughly examined not just my teeth but the front of my neck, back if my neck and jammed her finger inside my mouth into the fleshly part under my tongue. When I asked what she was doing she said checking for cancer. This might have been more bearable if she had told me before hand what she was doing. I think its time to look for a new dentist.

Had an appointment for 8 am as a new client. Was running a few minutes late so I decided to give a courtesy call to let them know I would be there by the latest at 810am. During this call I was told that I would not be able to be examined today, despite the fact that I was in route to the clinic. After calling at 750am and being put on hold twice I had arrived at 804am and I was turned away because I was 4 minutes late. Literally 4 minutes late and turned away!! Didnt realize dentistry was so cut throat. As a veterinarian in Indianapolis I understand that schedules are important, but also realize that life happens like being stopped at a traffic light or a train.

I would just like to say that this is the most considerate group of office staff that I think you could find anywhere in Indianapolis! My first visit I became hopelessly lost and two of the front staff, Im sorry I cant remember their names, guided me step by step! Most of the time I dealt with Niki and she is so knowledgeable and understanding! Dr. Barta is my Dentist and I think his personality is probably a big reason that he can hire and retain such a great group of people. Dr. Barta is a wonderful listener. Besides his incredible skills as a Dentist I think that is his best quality. I am pleased beyond words. Thank You.

Awesome dentist office! They go out of their way to provide quality, friendly service, every time. They take the time to talk to you about any issues you may be having rather that just chastising you for not flossing correctly and sending you out the door. They even write in your folder about any issues you have (like not spraying water directly on my sensitive teeth), which makes you feel much more comfortable. In the 10-15 years I have been going there, I have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been coming to this office for nearly 20 years and there are still some of the same staff members as well as new ones that all show professionalism and friendliness. We are very comfortable coming here and have even come when job insurance didnt cover dental expenses! The location is very easy to find and get in and out of, and I highly recommend this dental office if you are looking for a new dentist! They take care of all kinds of dental services and I always leave smiling :)

Our son had bad experiences at the other two places he had frequented early in his dental experience. We are so glad that we found your group. I have been coming to this dentist office ever since I was little, its the only dentist office Ive ever been to and Im 21. The staff is super friendly and wonderful at what they do. Im always really anxious when I go to the dentist and they always take it upon themselves to make me comfortable and make sure I have a great experience. I would hands down recommend this dentist office to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Youre awesome West 10th Dental! :)

At first it is great, but then the honeymoon is over. Receptionists are somewhat less than cordial, especially if you are not paying the bill prior to completion of your dental work. Bills come with estimations on insurance and you are expected to pay it anyway. They are lacking in overall customer service if you cancel the cleanings. Once they realize you can and will take your business elsewhere they get real friendly..... Day late dollar short....

I had not been to the dentist in years. When I called to schedule an appointment they were nice, friendly, and helpful. When I went in for my first appointment, I was received with smiles and helpfulness again. They are prompt. The entire staff was helpful, supportive, friendly, and non judgmental. I am going to continue to go there and recommend them to my friends and coworkers. Thank you for giving me my confidence back in dentists and my smile!

From the front desk staff who are helpful and efficient, the dental hygienist who does an awesome job and takes as much time as needed to thoroughly clean my teeth, and the friendly and skilled dentists, its a great experience all-around! My whole family comes here and the staff know us very well. I highly recommend this place, its very clean, modern looking with up-to-date technology and tools.
