Came in to speak to a therapist and get a safety plan together because I had a breakdown at work. Told them I have school that I cannot miss because it puts me at risk of being dropped. Waited 4 hours with no therapist. When I asked to leave because I was voluntary they denied me and said I either sign myself into the hospital or they keep me. I had no choice but to sign myself in. This was my second time at 3 east and was miserable. My doctor would hardly ever be there and no one could EVER get a hold of him. I said I didnt want meds because they make me feel worse and give me an idea of suicide, but was still given meds. Barely any groups happened, I think I can name 3 in the 4 days I was there. Finally got to talk to my doctor and asked him when I would get out because no one would give me a straight answer. All I received was a smile and a "Thank you, were done." I repeatedly asked and said "I need to know when Im getting out, Ive missed too much school and I can not miss more because THAT is my safety plan." Again was met with a "Were done, you can go." First time I ever officially broke down to the point they moved me to the lower unit. Finally I was able to leave after my case worker was able to convince my doctor.

The second to worst facility I was ever in. The majority of the unit staff are pricks. You arent given any freedom of any sort. When you ask them for a favor or permission your child will be belittled and treated like you are making their job a pain. They do not treat children or adolescents like people. And when I was a young teen (15 or 16) By experience they do not watch anyone thoroughly at night. They just stand at the station where they do the majority of their work. I unfortunately had casual sex many times there with female patients (Which I regret deeply.) And even though it was consensual it did no good for me or the girls.. Do not send your children here. They dont care about their health, and they keep you there as long as they can without reason. Probably to get more money from families. Its sick. My mother had to get to the courts after they held me for 7 weeks. Awful, awful experience.

I was here when I was 16-17. I am now 24. I was there for over 16 days and each time I was there I was treated so badly by doctor Maria valena and her staff. They made me carry a pillow case to get rid of my issues... I wasnt allowed phone calls, to go outside, nurses treated me like crap, I sat also in a wooden library type chair facing a wall for those days for more than 10 hours a day. To this day I remember how they treated the little kids and the other kids. They misdiagnosed me after me constantly telling them it was wrong, I got Rediagnosed and I was right. No one would listen or help and on top of it the only reason I had hope or made it out of there was a janitor older lady. She gave me hope. If anyone knows how to find out who worked there during my time and also to get documents I would like to speak with you. DO NEVER take your children here.

Just had a relative committed by this unit via teleconference at community south. they call seals ambulance to transport thee committed individual in front of me (the POA that commited her). she left comm south @10:15 pm. she arrived at comm north 11p was put into a room for an 1.5 hrs with no explanation, was then threatened by a security guard for being unruly while sobbing for help. With little to no more interaction was released by linda with no signature. they are now pretending that she came and left voluntarily. that simply isnt true I advised the nursing supervisor Claudia of this. long story short she was released without her wallet, or any id, and with a dead cell phone. we found her though no thanks to these.... well ill let you insert the rest. either way youre safer at home.

I have been in 3 East and 3 North and have had problems with only a handful of staff. This place saved me from an opiate addiction and most recently a mental condition. I donated clothes because I felt the need to give back. You have to be proactive and want to get better. Being inpatient sucks at times but again you have to be proactive to change that. Another thing is, know what meds youre taking, what they do, and express to your doctor what needs adjusted. Also, its good to know how an immediate detention works, once you do, realize thats just the way the system works and thats at every crisis center. The place saved me twice and I thank the majority of the great staff for that.

Only one lady is any good up there. She saved me from the hell floor. Bottom floor. I didnt belong there and they knew it so the unmentioned lady came and saved me. If your put in for 72 hour. Be prepared to be told you sign yourself in or we take you to court which could take 7 day. So 72 turns into 5, 6 12, 18 days. Valle Vista would of been first choice. So find away to V.V and stay the HELL away from North. Js. But its on you. Oh groups are a joke. And no one on one councilor on deck so get over being able to talk wjat brought you there. And be prepared to take a heaping handful or shots to make you messed up. Not a good gig. Good luck in your journey. Xo

I will NEVER go back here. They constantly mess up my appt. time so when I take off work/school to be here and I show up to the rude desk lady telling me I dont have an appointment is so frustrating. I have now been here 3 times IN A ROW where my appt. suddenly got moved without telling me or letting me know ahead of time. I would not recommend anyone in this facility and I suggest if you want help, go ANYWHERE else because wont get it here.

Worst place ever . my daughter ran away and was arrested for minor consumption and run away. We tried to get her the help she needed but she didnt like it and talking bad about us. Next thing we know we have the hospital report us to Cps for neglect.I have no criminal history and raised my older2 with success. Watch out for these people. My child was placed with a relative until legal proceedings.

Got a call via referral from new PCP. Was told for one ot takes 6 visits with therapist till anything will be done as well as they have the right to involuntary hospitalized you for a long extent. Per new insurance rules for certain health problems and with help of government they are treating people like psychopaths, drug seekers,etc. I will take my business to a private soecialist.

Absolutely worthless, we had a family member interview there. The therapist was absolutely obnoxious. He played messanger boy for the doctor. Im sorry, we are spending $$$, the damn doctor can get off his/her ass and communicate with us. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. They are supposed to help people, if anything, they cause mental breakdowns.
