In January, I had lumbar fusion surgery, after recovery they took me to my room. I couldnt stay awake or make sense of anything, couldnt even carry on a conversation for 4 days. My Dr. finally figured out I was over medicated. It was so bad my husband thought I had a stroke during surgery. My Dr must have said something to the nurses about it because they got really rude to me all of a sudden, one nurse even told me I got them in trouble because I told them yes I was in pain when they asked me , so it was my fault they over-medicated me. I dont even remember most of the first 4 days of the 7 that I was in the hospital I was so doped up. I just remember a lot of pain. So anyway, the staff then cut me off all pain meds except an anti inflammatory. That was a real treat. I found out the day I was released that I had been given valium every 4 hours for muscle spasms which I had never taken before, and morphine through my IV. Then two 10 mg Norco every 4 hours. No wonder I was a mess lol. So I truly hope you have a better experience than I did. Ive never been around a more rude hospital staff. But apparently I caused it. My Dr. and his staff however, were top notch. I have had a lot of medical problems, been to several hospitals, and this was by far the worst.

I came into the ER after having some drainage and infection on my foot. This was previously being handled by another hospital but was getting worse. The ER team quickly identified that I had a serious problem and admitted me into the hospital right away. The teams of nurses and doctors here have been great in explaining everything they were doing and helping me out in any way they can. Also, the food here was spectacular and gets high marks for taste and having that home cooked feel. I want thank the nurses and caretakers here because I honestly believe that without their care and knowledge I would of probably lost part or all of my foot. Again thanks for everything and though the road to full recovery will be long I know I can get there with the help and support from the caretakers at Community Hospital of Anderson, ** Follow Up ** I have been coming back daily for antibiotic treatments and again the nurses and staff of the "Quick Trip" area have been spectacular. Everyone is so nice and understanding and they never fail to inform me of exactly what they are doing. Even as bad as my foot feels it makes my day better to be handled with such professionalism and compassion.

nobody seems to be on the same the same page. No body put anything in the chart. Glad my husband wasnt alone or unconscious. Everyone asked the same questions over and over. I felt like nothing got put into his chart. this hospital is Community hospital, but it is not connected to the Indianapolis network. I dont believe I would want to be unable to communicate and be sent to this facility. The cardiologist seems smart enough, but she tells us one thing and the staff another. When we question it we are giving the staff a hard time. Then they all come into the room to gripe about how mean we are to the nurses. that was at 10 AM at which time they noticed the pole holding the I was very wobbly and ready to fall apart. they said they would replace it. It is now almost 1 pm. I guess that they plan to replace it after we leave. I have so much more to say but I will hold my piece. I am very disappointed in the communication or lack there of. At 10 am he was put on NPO. No food or drink, at about noon the cafeteria calls for his meal order. This is to point out one specific issue.

This place is the worse! I have had doctors ask me to diagnose myself, then why bill my insurance! I was there lastweek and I was put in a room for 4 hours and no doctor came in. I went to the bathroom and was told not to leave the room without assistance because they had a drill....I worked in the medical field it wasnt a drill not when you shut down the ER. The doctor heard me coming out of the bathroom which was across the hall from my room might I add and he told my husband he was gonna grab something hed be right back. I waited 2 and half hours he never showedbup I buzzed for the nurse and she says he had a trauma!! What, thats their excuse for everything considering when I checked in no one was there at 730 am and I left at 1130am. I was told there is only one doc for entire ER and a nurse practitioner and if he suddenly got lost to grab something right quick to come back to my room where was she? I had a hardbrime getting patient relations number, I left and no one offered AMA papers....I could go one....I have never seen a place like this!

Went into ER recently for a semi-serious and definitely urgent issue. Front staff were rude, short, acted inconvenienced by my presence. Once they had me in the expensive ER room, noone came to see me for almost two full hours and I ended up dealing with the problem myself. Eventually a doctor did come in near the end of the two hours and actually made the problem worse. I ended up walking out. Staff in other departments seem to be friendly and competent but the ER staff was abysmal. I would not recommend and im glad I wasnt having an absolutely life-threatening emergency! If you or a loved one gets hurt and you have a choice, have them taken to st. Johns or Vincents or whatevers closest. I wouldnt trust these people with my life.

The ER here isnt exactly what Id call urgent care. Came here for kidney stones before and was hyperventilating and jumping up and down in pain, still took over an hour just to get checked in for the waiting room. Im here again, its been three hours and all theyve done is take my temperature. If I ever was shot, had a stroke, or a heart attack, I would die in the waiting room before they got my insurance info. Stupid me thought itd be different this time around. The people are nice enough, but thats not why you go to the ER. Do yourselves a massive favor, GO TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL.

Worst hospital ever. I had a SAH on 9/1/15. I was transported here by EMS. They gave me a IV and tried to discharge me. I was crying, throwing up pissing myself and the doctors are signing the dicharge papers. I was begging them to do a MRI. I was telling them I was having a brain aneurysm. Finally after 6 hours of refusing to leave, they did a MRI and it was positive for a SAH. I was transported to IU for the next 22 days. My poor old mother had to sit there and watch all this happen. Dont take your loved ones here.

Community Hospital is the best of the best. The staff is fantastic. Recently I went for an outpatient therapeutic Phlebotomy. Taken upstairs everyone greeted me. Even the Nurses at the nurses station all stopped to say hello. The phlebotomist ( I think his name was Cory) was fantastic. Gentle, caring, and understood what Hemochromatosis patients deal with. I will never forget how he made me feel and the extra mile he went for me. All of the people I came in contact with were the absolute best.
